    If I tighten the chuck and put leveler on the bottom of tumbler the base rises up. Is that how you ran it with the base up on one side.

    I will be sure to use your link for the laser machine. The exact machine you have, what else can you use it for? I took the quiz but got overwhelmed and hope you can kindly take a moment to answer my question :)

      With the xtool s1 you can cut and engrave many materials. Since its a diode laser not all colors of acrylic can be cut. If you plan on working with more acrylic i recommend that Xtool p2.

    This is very helpful, but there is one thing I’m caught up on. The bottom is smaller than the top but you used the top for your measurement. Since your design is a rectangle, how is it that the design elements on the bottom don’t end up overlapping?

    Thank you so much for your help! I have a question, before starting the Red Cross on the screen is suppose to be where the laser starts right? So How do you align it to start engraving on the handle when the cross was in the middle? I’m a little confused

    I have a 40w laser for the S1. Is the 20W diode better for tumblers? I noticed the tumbler options in the material setup is limited with the 40w. Thx

    • @stunt509
      @stunt509 3 месяца назад +1

      20w better for engraving? Yes and no. You can adjust the power on the 40w. The 40w laser beam is bigger but I personally think it's better. I've herd of people with 20w using a spacer when framing to get that bigger beam focus. The comparison on engraving is hard to tell. Don't think you wasted your money on that 40w. You can cut deeper wood, acrylic ect

    We have been trying to get this process right for a while but we are having issues with the laser hitting the cup. We are using dupes but they are the same measurements. When we level the bottom the tabs hit the laser. Any suggestions?

      Auto measure right in the middle of the slant (where the size starts transitioning)

    • @AYYO_Dora

      I’ve set my distance for the highest part, the lowest part, and exactly how she stated in the video and each time the design comes out like crap on the side of the tumbler opposite to where I set the distance for.

      @@AYYO_DoraI believe she says measure at the middle of the tapper

    • @AYYO_Dora
      @AYYO_Dora 3 месяца назад

      @@ronr179 she says “measure right where the curve starts on the tumbler”. Which unfortunately I’ve done. I’ve also tried from the end of the taper as well. Both with similar crappy results unfortunately. I haven’t tried from the center of the taper like you’ve suggested. I’ll try that this evening. The only other way I could think to make this work would be to cut my design and do two separate runs with the engraving but then I would have to make sure to line the second go up perfectly which would be a headache.

    Your distance measurement should be right where the curve starts? No... distance measured should be done right in the middle of the tapered area. Not at the beginning. Spreading knowledge to help others is key. I wonder how many people where disappointed when they engraved their $60 stanley and the engraving was burnt on the top from laser being 2.50mm closer then what it should of been 1.25mm away
