I have no words to explain the way i feel, I'm new to this and i just did my first tried on making a tumbler this weekend from disassembleling the RA2 to putting it back to gether, I was litteraly getting ready to throw the towel like we say it in spanish. There are so many videos from many other people out there that i want to believe they are trying to help folks like us make it more easier but let me tell you by far, your video has been the only one that has the full details from starting to how to test it first and then get your project going. I just want to say THANK YOU!! you made my day, i will post a picture of my cup once is done and will also make sure to share your channel to anyone else i run into that has the same problem. Thank you again.
Wepaaaa mujers loved this educational video.... The final looks amazing ..... Yessssss TRUST THE PROCESS chula lol.... Please make more videos of these and other projects u can do with it (especially acrylic jeje).... Im in the reserach mode cuz I want ger a laser machine .... Bonito dia hermosha
I have watched this video a bunch of times from this login and my other login on my tablet!!! So informative and very helpful. I am working on my second 40oz with a handle and it is coming out beautifully. The first one was just ok. User error as I did not follow the very important step to make sure the cup was level as the bottom instead of the top. DO NOT MISS THIS STEP!! I am still trying to figure out how to get my xtool m1 ultra to go over the handles with out getting in the way. I ordered a tab tool from etsy, but got nervous at the last minute, so I shrunk my image to avoid them on the one I am engraving now. Thanks so much!!! Cant express how amazing this video is!!!
Thanks for making this so easy to understand. I ruined a few before this video but thankfully Goodwill has ample tumblers, bottles etc to use for practice.
Thank you so much for this video and for breaking down the process! I've been terrified to do a full wrap. I have a different xtool and use a different program, but the knowledge was very easily transferred.
Thank you for this tutorial, it was much more informative than others I have seen. My S1 arrived last week, it’s out of the box and set up. I purchased the riser base after realising you need it to engrave tumblers. So my question is.. can I leave the laser on the riser base? Is that what you meant by changing the tray level? Do you put the tray up the top if you are doing a wood project or something and move it down to use the rotary instead of moving the riser base on and off all the time? Thank you again 😊 great and easy to understand tutorial 😊🇦🇺
Thank you for this video!! I just tried my tumbler but everything under the dip is not engraved as nice as the top. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you
Nice Video! Perhaps you have mentioned it in the video but how did you set the design to ensure your tabs do not get engraved or your image overlap them? Many thanks!
Thank you so much for your videos, they have helped me alot. I have the riser but when I level the tumbler on the lower section the laser head will not clear the top part. Anyone have this problem. Thanks, Frances
I received the S1 yesterday. I noticed in the software the canvas is like yours is in the video where it’s landscaped but as soon as I change it to rotary attachment and chuck it flips the canvas to portrait orientation. I am using the RA2 Pro rotary that came with the S1 rotary kit.
Thank you very much for this amazing detailed video. I was able to engrave my first tumbler last by using your instructions. Great job !!! XCS has a curve feature, can we use this for the slope at the back of the tumbler ?
Wow! Thank you so much for this tutorial. Very thorough. And thanks for showing how to do this on the S1 20W. Not many vids out there on this one. I'll be sure to subscribe to your channel too!
Love this video. it gave the the push i needed to order my rotary. Quick question though I have a 10w do you know about where to start with settings to test? love the video
Not sure if someone else has said this, but if you align your image under the crosshair, it will always start where your crosshair is... and you wont have to play the framing game.
Hi there. I just got my S1 and am ready to try my first full wrap tumbler. Watching your video one more time so I don't ruin a tumbler and wanted to know why your settings are so different than the recommended ones on the xtool website. I have the 40w but even when I put the 20w in they are drastically different than the ones you use
I’m actually here looking for that answer! Mine lifts, but that’s the only way to be able to engrave a 40 oz curved tumbler. Mind sharing the answer please
Is noticing a little bit of an odor normal while doing tumblers? I have the air assist and the machine vented but still got some smells here and there! I put some painters tape around any cracks I found to help in the future!
Two questions: 1. The laser focus has changed a lot between the top and bottom. I thought it is more sensitive to laser focus. Is that right? 2. Didn't the magic eraser scratches the surface? Thanks
Thank you so much! Question.... when I raise the bottom to be level, the top part gets uneven and while spinning, gets wobbly.. how do I solve this? :(
Xtool just added a additional $20off and adding a $100 coupon brings the bundle to $1799 I will be using your affiliate link to purchase. TY keep the tumbler tutorials coming!
That was awesome! I hope to try it tomorrow. One question if you use the chuck and it doesn’t turn do you have any idea as to why it won’t rotate? Mine just went in a straight line.
How can this be accurate? The top of the tumbler is significantly larger in circumference than the bottom? There has to be some type of distortion of the elements?
how do you get your tumbler to stay on the rotary tool? I have the same cups as you in this video and they just keep sliding off and it's worse when I tighten it more. Please help!
I couldn't ever get my cuke to unite. Way longer than your 7 minutes, and I tried several times. I ended up using a png for instead. Definitely needs some tweaking, but for a first try, I'll take it. Same machine as you, in green.
Actually you don't have to unite vectors anymore. Make sure your version is 2.0.117 and set it all to engrave. Click on the workspace and change where it says processing path and change auto planning to user defining. And you will see a setting that you can turn on to engrave all at once. As long as all the engravings are on the same layer it will treat them all as one image. No more need to combine unite.
we followed all your steps but it didn't put the image centered on the cup why doesn't the laser placement matter? how do we know its putting wrap where it needs to be.
I appreciate the video but that's not 12.3" It's 12 3/8". So, 12.3 or 12.375. Doesn't sound like much but that's almost 2mm which is important if you want things to connect isn't it? That's why I always measure in metric to be more exact. If you want the seam to be on the handle, don't you just put the crosshairs at the handle and then put the upper edge of your image at the crosshairs in XCS?
when I click combine unite it doesn't do anything Also my XCS looks a bit different and the stuff aint on the same place so im just very confused Update: it worked after a while waiting, for some reason there's not a loading/generating bar on my end
So I had the same issue and I found the only solution is to upgrade to the newer 2.0 beta version that is out. The older software didn’t do anything for me either.
She did it but didn't show the laser doing the autofocus. There were a few things that she should have shown the laser doing but only showed her pressing the button in XCS.

This video was really helpful! It answered a lot of questions that I had about doing tumblers on my xtool
I'm so glad it helped! 😉
Thank you Thank you Thank you. So helpful. Did my first tumbler following your instructions. Can't wait to do my next one.
This is the best tutorial I've found. Thank you.😊
LilyRose, you give the best instructions on this! I cannot wait to try this out.

Excellent instructions. Thank you!
Thank you for this thorough tutorial. I've watched several others and they didn't go into how to setup every part of the rotary tool.
thank you so much! I have been searching for a video to show me how to line up the start of the design. Brilliant!
Thank you so much, very clear and easy instructions to follow.
What a very informative video! Great info. Thanks so much!
thank you so much for all the info!! im thinking about buying the S1 xTool bundle.
👍great video, thank you for sharing!💕

So many choices ..I’m going crazy deciding which model to buy. What is the diff between the M1 ultra and S1 here in this video
Thank you so much for your videos, they have helped me alot. I have the riser but when I level the tumbler on the lower section the laser head will not clear the top part. Anyone have this problem. Thanks, Frances
This video is awesome. Can you tell me the shop you bought the Taylor Swift file from. Thank you

Did you ever try your new settings for the soft touch tumblers? If so what did it end up being?
Yes! I now do 100 power/ 300speed/ 160lpc
Thank you for the reply I used your link to make my purchase and it comes tomorrow!🎉
The settings you used in this video are for the Matte tumblers from save a cup?
Love this video. it gave the the push i needed to order my rotary. Quick question though I have a 10w do you know about where to start with settings to test? love the video
Not sure if someone else has said this, but if you align your image under the crosshair, it will always start where your crosshair is... and you wont have to play the framing game.
Thanks for the video. Which tumbler brand is this? I went to save a cup but they don’t quite look the same.
Hi there. I just got my S1 and am ready to try my first full wrap tumbler. You’re so inspiring!! I love all your videos! You just convinced me to purchase mine 🫶🏼
Very helpful. I'm a tad confused why the length of the cup is 8.875 and not 9 because I'm measuring the same cup and it's 9".
Thanks great detail.
Question on the angle placement when attaching the tumbler to the chuck. When you angle the bottom does the tumbler attached to the chuck lift up?
I’m actually here looking for that answer! Mine lifts, but that’s the only way to be able to engrave a 40 oz curved tumbler. Mind sharing the answer please
Do you get the Stanley 40 oz tumblers at a wholesale price somewhere?
For all round focus would it be better if you done it as a curved base?
Great video Thank you so much 🩷
Is noticing a little bit of an odor normal while doing tumblers? I have the air assist and the machine vented but still got some smells here and there!
I put some painters tape around any cracks I found to help in the future!
Great Video, thank you - Does the distance sensor / probe not got caught up on the handle fixings, it looks really close?
No this is why you need to bend the tabs down
I wanted to get the laser specifically for this project but torn between this model and the P2. Anyone have any suggestions between the two models ?
what settings do you use for the glossy tumblers and not the powder coated tumblers?
Two questions:
1. The laser focus has changed a lot between the top and bottom. I thought it is more sensitive to laser focus. Is that right?
2. Didn't the magic eraser scratches the surface?
Thanks
Thank you so much!

Thank you! I appreciate it! Currently working on more videos!🥰
That was awesome! I hope to try it tomorrow. One question if you use the chuck and it doesn’t turn do you have any idea as to why it won’t rotate? Mine just went in a straight line.
Did you connect it to the machine? It needs power to rotate.
Question! My canvas is not horizontal and is vertical. How do I change the orientation? Haven’t found anything on how to do that. Thank you!!
Make sure your using the tab under rotary attachment and simply rotate your image
Great video. Can you elaborate on time spent per unit, unit cost, and selling price?
Wow! That was intense but worth watching. May I ask what a cup like that sales for? With full wrap?
Does the brackets get in the way of the laser?
How can this be accurate? The top of the tumbler is significantly larger in circumference than the bottom? There has to be some type of distortion of the elements?
Can this be done with a Co2 laser also?
Absolutely
Hi! How do i do ir for my laser to engrave the bottom part of the tumbler? It only does the top part.
My design came out backwards. Hoe do I fix the issue?
i think your rotarty tool is backwards. The logo on the RA2 tool should be readable not upside down if that makes sense
Can you use the 40w to do this?
since the bottom diameter is less than the top does the design adjust?
Yes it works out.
I think you may be mistaking on which end is the chuck I've always thought the chuck was the side that has the teeth/claw. Can you clarify?
when you auto-measure at the top, doesn't it hit the tabs that hold the handle when it is rotating?
how do you get your tumbler to stay on the rotary tool? I have the same cups as you in this video and they just keep sliding off and it's worse when I tighten it more. Please help!
You don’t slide the cup all the way because the inside curves makes it slip off you need to align the tabs at the end of the threads of the inside
Thank you!@@ronr179
Tumbler link?
anyway we could get a video on a Stanley the tapper is alot more extreme
Yes absolutely! I'll have it posted soon.
Thank you so much my 40 watt will be here Tuesday 😊
@@kyodox495Hey. engraved Stanley video has just been posted!😉

Any reason you didnt max out the speed and adjust the power to match?
I heard max speed moves the Rotary attachment too much. I haven't tried it. This has been working for me.
Hello, has anyone else had trouble engraving images with the xTool S1 where the image comes out in a different size or distorted?
how do i get in direct contact with u i need help plz

??! I’d like to know this?! Is that how it works? I haven’t been able to figure this out
I tried a white tumbler and it’s not engraving right I’m so annoyed with how it keeps coming out
1 👍🏽 for every one I do with your settings
Another 1 👍🏽
Video makes no sense to me, my laser cant even find my tumbler and I cant figure out the orientation.
I have the exact same problem. Non of these video's are helpfull😢
@jowwi1576 ready to sell both my machines. No support or help
I feel the same way
when I click combine unite it doesn't do anything
Also my XCS looks a bit different and the stuff aint on the same place so im just very confused
Update: it worked after a while waiting, for some reason there's not a loading/generating bar on my end
It takes a while to combine. It took about 7 minutes. Do you also have the 2.0 software?
So I had the same issue and I found the only solution is to upgrade to the newer 2.0 beta version that is out. The older software didn’t do anything for me either.
S1 40W😭I have engraving lines like a dirty layer,i scrub it like crazy no luck, can anybody HELPPPPPPPPPP?
What is your lines setting
@@hr1722 it was 140 and i went to 220 and that made a difference🤩
You failed to mention how far away the lazer should be placed from the cup
That’s because the S1 auto measures and she did mention it @ 20:26
She did it but didn't show the laser doing the autofocus. There were a few things that she should have shown the laser doing but only showed her pressing the button in XCS.
