I absolutely love the detail descriptions you put in your videos. I'd love a video from you that took an image from a phone (maybe an animal or people) and converted it to a vector/line art. You're amazing!
Hi Sarah, I've updated to the latest Xtool software for my M1 Ultra, but I don't have the image editing panel you show in the video. Any idea how to get it to show?
Do you have an SVG or are you working with a bitmap? The editing menu will appear with PNG JPG etc. Sorry, I was traveling and didn't see your comment.
Very helpful tutorial. I’m a new XTOOL user and having trouble with the editing screen when it comes to zooming in. How can you zoom in to the edges of the image to edit? Thanks!
Thank you so much, David. To zoom, you can use CMD+ (or CTRL+ on Windows) to zoom or use your mouse's scroll key. You can also use the zoom function (bottom right of the software). Sorry, I can't put a picture here.
This is pretty amazing information. Thanks so much! Do you have any tips on vectorizing an image of fonts to match perfectly? This is a font not available (US Block 1L) so I have to copy from the image somehow. Thanks again!
Ooh, fonts are going to be tricky and your best bet is to try and find something very similar and adjust nodes based on t that (you can vectorize a font by welding it). This process (raster > vector)... You'd basically take a raster image of the font and try to "clean it up." The problem is with the original size of the raster image (for example, if it's a screen shot, it won't result in a very nice picture).
I think (if I’m understanding your question), the answer is yes, mostly. In some cases, you will subtract any overlap in order not to muddle colors. In this instance, you would duplicate orange, lock, and then subtract one of the orange layers from blue (so the blue screen doesn’t lay down color). Then you would burn the blue screen and the orange screen to lay down only a single color in those “overlap” areas.
I use Adobe Firefly for AI (because I have a subscription to the Adobe Suite). There is also Microsoft Copilot (free version), Google Gemini (free version), and Midjourney (don't remember if there is still a free version).
Hi there. This is XCS 2.0 - the one in BETA at this time. It's available to download from the software page if you'd like to get it. I can't put a screen shot here, but if you search the page for beta (or scroll to the bottom), you'll see it.

Is the process for their screen printing option similar in order to use multiple color prints?
