As a type 1 diabetic for 18 years, this information is false in every way. Diabetes comes from 1 of the 3 or a combination if not all 3 circumstances,
1- a organ failure of some sort or organ trauma at a young age
2- lack of a good diet
    3-imbalance in endocrine system
People who eat any of these fruits are relatively healthy. I never heard if a diabetic having horrible blood sugars by eating fruit. Its a natural substance, not artificial crap claiming to be "organic" or good for you.
Things to avoid as a diabetic are easy to spot, hard to avoid since we have bad tendencies.
    1- processed deli and cheese
2- artificial sugars (cookies, cakes, anything in stores that is junk food or a snack)
    3- bread or tortillas
    4- sugary drinks
    What a diabetic SHOULD eat
    1- ass ton of protein
    2 - healthy fats (1 large avocado/day with a handful of nuts/seeds)
3- as much fruit that is low glycemic primarily
4- as much leafy greens as possible in your diet (kale, spinach, sprouts
5- legumes (not from a can because of salt content and preservatives
6- as much water and stevia or monkfruit sugar sweetened teas as you can drink (i personally drink 1gal of water a day minimum, more if its a super active day as i work in construction and am very physical)
7- this is not food but make sure you massage your feet and extremeties of your body as it relaxes your muscles and helps you keep going
8- multivitamin and minerals before you go to bed as our bodies naturally take in natural pills better at night
9- fiberous carbs like red potatoes, yams, and sour dough bread
Its better if you eat rice or sourdough bread to refrigerate as it alters the molecules of the carbs and takes longer for your body to digest, meaning little to no insulin resistance or blood sugar spikes.
Again. I am a type 1 diabetic. My grand father is type 2 and hes only had it for 3 years. Everything I shared i gave to him and hes almost reversed his diabetes. Type 1 is non reversible.
Your welcome to all who may need this information. And dont forget to exercise! 20minute walks go a LONG way.

They are good for you . Keto and low carbers disregard any benefits from anything that has carbs . They are good for yiu they do have fiber which slows down the absorption of carbs . It’s not like eating candy . We are not caveman we have evolved . This is a modern world . Fruits and veg have important disease fighters . It may seem it is helping since people lose weight and their symptoms and labs are good but longterm it is VERY TAXING on the organs !!! Anyone who has years taking care of people ans has seen their diet first hand and has seen rhd outcome can tell you . I have 40 years working home health nursing . Seeing what people actually eat and following them for years tells the truth

@@mandograssable Not necessarily. There are children of three years in age who suffer from chronic insulin resistance even though their diets aren't bad. Insulin resistance leads to type 2 diabetes but not always. Millions are severely insulin resistant yet never quite develop diabetes. Millions eat poorly but never gain much weight while millions of others eat the same thing but get very sick. It happens. It isn't always as simple as you think. I do understand you reflexively always want to blame the victim. Let me also tell you that IF you are even a little bit insulin resistant and you eat according to what the guidelines say you stand a good chance of getting heavier and sicker.

that is because there are many other and even better forms of fiber. grapes are extremely high in fructose and no one ever eats just one. Fructose is metabolized by the liver which puts undo burden on liver which can lead to NAFL (non alcoholic fatty liver).

Haven't had grapes or bananas since I went keto. But Christmas and yummy summer fruits have been the hardest part of keto lol. Plums, nectarines, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and the occasional feijoa, passionfruit and fig. As they've gone out of season it's easier to not eat them.

Let's make it plain. Anything with sugar or carbs will spike your blood sugar. Heck stress can do it too. It's about moderation. Increasing green leafy veggies to help lower and control blood sugar spikes. Eating things that has a higher fat content that is natural to sustain good glucose levels like avocados. Long story short, God made foods that grow from the earth for us to eat and live healthy lives. So why not lean on that instead. Heck, certain medicines don't allow you to eat grapefruit. But it's one of the best fruits that had vitamin c in it along with other things. Aka a super food
