As a type 1 diabetic for 18 years, this information is false in every way. Diabetes comes from 1 of the 3 or a combination if not all 3 circumstances, 1- a organ failure of some sort or organ trauma at a young age 2- lack of a good diet 3-imbalance in endocrine system People who eat any of these fruits are relatively healthy. I never heard if a diabetic having horrible blood sugars by eating fruit. Its a natural substance, not artificial crap claiming to be "organic" or good for you. Things to avoid as a diabetic are easy to spot, hard to avoid since we have bad tendencies. 1- processed deli and cheese 2- artificial sugars (cookies, cakes, anything in stores that is junk food or a snack) 3- bread or tortillas 4- sugary drinks What a diabetic SHOULD eat 1- ass ton of protein 2 - healthy fats (1 large avocado/day with a handful of nuts/seeds) 3- as much fruit that is low glycemic primarily 4- as much leafy greens as possible in your diet (kale, spinach, sprouts 5- legumes (not from a can because of salt content and preservatives 6- as much water and stevia or monkfruit sugar sweetened teas as you can drink (i personally drink 1gal of water a day minimum, more if its a super active day as i work in construction and am very physical) 7- this is not food but make sure you massage your feet and extremeties of your body as it relaxes your muscles and helps you keep going 8- multivitamin and minerals before you go to bed as our bodies naturally take in natural pills better at night 9- fiberous carbs like red potatoes, yams, and sour dough bread Its better if you eat rice or sourdough bread to refrigerate as it alters the molecules of the carbs and takes longer for your body to digest, meaning little to no insulin resistance or blood sugar spikes. Yes bananas are a great source of potassium. Eat the fruits in moderation and eat them with protein. The fiber in the fruits causes your body to process the glucose more slowly, especially when eaten with protein.
Avocados have more potassium in them, have healthy fat and plenty of vitamin K. Why would you eat these fruits in moderation when you can reverse type 2 completely, lose body fat, reverse many, many symptoms when you follow a ketogenic woe for a while? If you want to add things back in later and see how it goes, fine, but why not reverse it all first? The best way to check if foods are not helpful is to test glucose after eating them.

The glycemic index of cherries is 22 which is towards the lower end of the GI scale. It is also a low glycemic load fruit(2.7). So they are safe to eat in moderation
Yet you failed to mention grapes are a decent source of fiber. Damn
that is because there are many other and even better forms of fiber. grapes are extremely high in fructose and no one ever eats just one. Fructose is metabolized by the liver which puts undo burden on liver which can lead to NAFL (non alcoholic fatty liver).

As a type 1 diabetic for 18 years, this information is false in every way. Diabetes comes from 1 of the 3 or a combination if not all 3 circumstances,
1- a organ failure of some sort or organ trauma at a young age
2- lack of a good diet
3-imbalance in endocrine system
People who eat any of these fruits are relatively healthy. I never heard if a diabetic having horrible blood sugars by eating fruit. Its a natural substance, not artificial crap claiming to be "organic" or good for you.
Things to avoid as a diabetic are easy to spot, hard to avoid since we have bad tendencies.
1- processed deli and cheese
2- artificial sugars (cookies, cakes, anything in stores that is junk food or a snack)
3- bread or tortillas
4- sugary drinks
What a diabetic SHOULD eat
1- ass ton of protein
2 - healthy fats (1 large avocado/day with a handful of nuts/seeds)
3- as much fruit that is low glycemic primarily
4- as much leafy greens as possible in your diet (kale, spinach, sprouts
5- legumes (not from a can because of salt content and preservatives
6- as much water and stevia or monkfruit sugar sweetened teas as you can drink (i personally drink 1gal of water a day minimum, more if its a super active day as i work in construction and am very physical)
7- this is not food but make sure you massage your feet and extremeties of your body as it relaxes your muscles and helps you keep going
8- multivitamin and minerals before you go to bed as our bodies naturally take in natural pills better at night
9- fiberous carbs like red potatoes, yams, and sour dough bread
Its better if you eat rice or sourdough bread to refrigerate as it alters the molecules of the carbs and takes longer for your body to digest, meaning little to no insulin resistance or blood sugar spikes.
