Snippets of Alan Freeman and other DJs - 1970-71

Pop pickers, it's time for a number of clips from the Radio 1 legend Alan Freeman as he hosted Pick of the Pops. These recordings all came from one reel of tape, which also has a clip or two from other popular DJs of the time.

He was brilliant. He should never have come off 'Pick Of The Pops' in 1972. Sadly he passed away in 2006, but his memory lives on. Good to hear all these links dating from the period August '70 to July '71.
