    When the image disappears you have the plane on the back side of the plane instead of the front. The blue side is the back the orange side is the front. So if the image disappears right click on the plane and flip it to normal and it will appear.

    Whenever I try to open my AutoCAD file it shows as annotate so how do I put it into 3D Modeling?

  • @shadedmw

    excuse me for the dumb question, but instead of manual adjustments why didn't you project the geometry and set a collinear constraint?

    I have a problem. Whenever I apply a label to a surface with exactly the same method, the label disappears on the rendered picture. I render the picture simply in Inventor Studio environment. Thanks in advance for help!

    Hi thanks for the tutorial.
    I'm wondering how I can export to a stl files, keeping the label on the 3d model.

    Good video, do you know how to do this on a glass object without the decal becoming translucent?

    If you would import this model into blender, would it still have the texture on it ?

    • @Engineers101

      I'm not sure quite honestly. I have never used blender.

    Watching this like 6 years later with Inventor 2018, I cant find decal tool. I don't know if this is a now obsolete feature or if it was moved to another menu.

    Hello,
    We are trying to engrave and/or emboss the image we placed on a piece to 3D print. Can you help with this? Really appreciate any help. Mike

    • @Engineers101
      @Engineers101  9 лет назад

      Mike Hill I suggest tracing the image on a new sketch and extruding/embossing accordingly. If it's a complex image that is hard to trace, consider looking for a plugin to do this or see if your 3D printer driver supports color based embossing (e.g. red is raised 1mm, green 2mm, etc.)

    What would happen if you didn't wrap to face?

    • @Engineers101
      @Engineers101  7 лет назад +1

      You would have a rectangular image on a plane tangent to the cylinder. You don't need to wrap to a face if you have a flat face or a non-square image.
