@@DJYeeJay youre welcome. its the first video ive seen from you and i already subscribed! i love the informative content and the work you probably had with setting up this video must have been alot so i thank you for your great work!!!
@@BulletsSchool Ya I had fun with it, except for the part where I had to start all over because I didn't realize UMP Modifieds were free content in iRacing and it changed literally everything 🤣
This is an extreme example, but honestly, if you're invested and you like iRacing, and you're not prone to impulse buys, the price of a AAA game can get you a *LOT* of content. While it's more expensive than a "normal" game, iRacing is certainly more reasonable and fair than most "Free" games to get all the fun you want out of it
Not me buying every F1 just so I can cope with the fact I'm still not fast enough for eSports one month after release lmao. I wouldn't buy it every year if it wasn't for league racing, some also pay the WDC winner so you can get back what you spent for the game and enjoy the good racing.
Only flaw in this plan: As a fan of redacted car, they run Leguna Seca in real life which would mean they won't be running it in iracing. Shout out to MSG and redacted car.
This is practically what I did for Dirt oval and Dirt Road, I got myself A class in both without a single purchase. But then Road/Oval, I'm £800 deep, 🤣🤣🤣🤣
You should make a part 2 where Timmy buys every piece of content in iracing through earning the money they give you for completing 8 weeks in official series
I wrote a how-to for simracers who are not on the service yet. How to spend less on iRacing: step 1. spend a couple of thousands$ on your simrig step 2. vine about iRacing being expensive
I have had iracing for 6 months now and haven't spent a single dollar, including membership. My countries national motorsport organization offer a free subscription for a year + the fia f4 car. I have another 6 months before I have to spend a single dollar, hopefully I can hit A class and 3000 or so irating, maybe more if I'm lucky
and also i forgot to mention its indycar again, idk if you saw it but indycar is no longer a blacklisted word on the forums. It makes me think they got the license back
What are some sites or whatnot that frequently give away those codes? Just got my first wheel second hand and want to get into it, but don't have a way to pay for a membership yet :(
All your races are based off of iRating so you could still get all sorts of licenses in your races. Safety Rating doesn't decide the cleanliness of the split sadly, as if you have 4,000 iRating with A 4.99 and there is a D 1.03 kid with 5,000 iRating he'd be in your split (if this series has both As and Ds in allowed together)
So while waiting on my wheel to show up I used a $29 flight stick. The longer stick made it more precise than an Xbox controller. It still sucked but not as bad as a controller.
I dont think its going to work most of the codes say I have to be a new memeber but I've been a memeber since November I just have been able to keep my subscription
Just because you can get A class is all licenses doesn’t mean that you’ve “completed the game”. iRacing is expensive because you’re seriously limited in content without buying a ton of dlc. Saying iRacing isn’t expensive is like saying destiny 2 isn’t expensive. Like yeah, technically you can play the game and max out your character, but you only have access to a literal fraction of the content available. And its even worse in iracing because its a subscription. It’s not like iRacing is free to play. If you stop paying you lose everything no matter how much you’ve spent prior. Plus you can’t expect new players to have this knowledge. The 3 month only works for brand new accounts so if you’ve already paid your first month you can’t use that. You can bring up the minimum participation rewards but that’s so time consuming it feels like a part time job. Plus most people aren’t interested in doing every type of race. Most people just stick to a couple like road and roval, or dirt and dirt oval. iRacing becomes very stale, very fast unless you purchase more content. And that’s compounded when the race craft is so poor that a lot of people just give up. Im the only one of my friends that continues to play iracing due to the cost, and while I never think twitch is a good way to gauge anything, so many big streamers like summit who aren’t ridiculous enthusiasts like we are, play for a week, (after being literally gifted a multi-thousand dollar setup) just to give up because the experience provided by iracing is not worth the money the average person puts into it. A lot of us obviously have a different perspective but we are enthusiasts. You can say “oh well this is a simulator this isn’t a video game like other video games” or “hey real life racing is way more expensive just be happy its cheaper than that” and I just think that’s a such a closed minded view of the problem.
I don't know how 10-14 available series every week can be "seriously limited". iRacing with free content have available 8 rookie series and 2-6 D->B series every week. e.g. this "week 8" You could race Formula 1600 @ Summit, D class RX Lite @ Daytona, GR86 or MX5 @ Lime Rock, Spec Racer Ford @ Charlotte or B class rallycross at Phoenix and then additional 8 rookie series.
I'm not sure what you mean by losing everything if you stop paying. You don't lose anything except the ability to race. Once you start your subscription again, everything you purchased before is still there including your license progression.
If Timmy races enough he can also get iRacing credit

Step 1: buy a time machine
Youre like 3kliksphilip, but the game is Iracing instead of CSGO. Also I really enjoy your Iracing vids :)
That’s high praise I appreciate it :)
The key to this is as soon as you get to 4.0SR, run time trial for your 4 races. That will get your license promotion.
Timmy’s a bit tired😂
Every one of your videos puts a smile on my face. Keep the crazy ideas coming
I appreciate it!!!
it's interesting that you can get yourself all the way to a B 4.99 in both road and oval using only 1 car for each, the street stock and MX5
i don't even play iracing but I watch your videos, you make em fun and interesting.
Im C in sports and formula cars and D in oval, and i've already sunk $100+ into content alone 😂
So much of the content you mentioned I had to pay for in the past.

btw PCC (production car challenge) is only road d class. you said it was c

It took me 23 ARCA races to go from D to C at Las Vegas. Assuming most series are the same, probably 15-25 races per series.
