L3 and R3 should be standard and on a button that can take heavy wear like a Sanwa or MX switch button. People who take games seriously will use those buttons in training mode tens of thousands of times. Other than that the Victrix is the clear premium stick winner.
Hello, I hope this quesrion finds you in an old video With this leverless, can the buttons and switches be changed? Like when they inevitably die or need replacement, how easy is it to replace? What kinda of button or switches work? Are these Buttons / switches bad or unreliable? Thank you!
they use standard sanwa 24mm(and 30mm for the jump button) arcade buttons and is supper easy to swap out and customize but its possible the plastic clips on the buttons can snap when taking out so i recommend buying a couple spares if you swap some out just incase you might break one or 2 but its not too difficult @@howdydoodydoo3631
The width - You're saying it's a bit too wide past the buttons and passed the "stick", I am made sure that makes it sit fantastic in the lap when you're playing. If I set it on a desk I would agree with you that I didn't need it but that with also allows to handles on the bottom which are convenient
I think the color is nice for a purple, but purple isn't really my thing. I'd rather see kind of a slate blue in the same polished finish. Funnily enough, you managed to sell me on the HitBox with this video. I hadn't thought about it before, but you made an excellent point about the HitBox being the perfect all-button arcade controller to play in your lap because it doesn't have all that extra real estate south of the buttons.
I really tried to like the Pro FS 12, but I ended up returning it in the end. All the wasted space around the buttons makes it uncomfortable in having to extend your fingers even more further up, thus cramping the wrists, and essentially making the wrist slope useless. I suppose the extra space adds to the weight, but not to justify a price above $400; and especially not enough to justify with lack of artistical modding. It's almost comical to look at with all the 24mm buttons on it. And the lack of a dedicated L3/R3 button is just a stupid design choice on Victrix's part. Like, really? Ended up getting a far cheaper Snack Box Micro instead. Much more comfortable, and honestly, more efficient.
@@mdeboer6453 the razer kitsune has a slightly larger space between the buttons. They are also a millimeter bigger as they are a weird, non-standard size of 25mm. The Victrix runs the small standard of 24mm for all buttons other than up which is 30mm
The razer kitsune is cheaper than this controller and they have incorporated a latch to prevent the usb c cable from being yanked out. Why doesn’t this product have a solution to that besides the 2 hooks you can spin the cable around ? Even the hitbox cable has a locking mechanism on the cable. Side note. The kitsune had an L3,R3 button fixed that is great for training mode in SF6 to quickly start or stop the watch replay feature.
Nice but too expensive for what it is, could get a custom hitbox for less or same money and even the cheaper alternatives provide the same or similar functionality. Got my eye on the Furin hitbox like controllers, lots of options and customization available.
Where are all the Xbox Series X sticks at? I only know that Hori made an Xbox version of the Fighting Stick Alpha but both Qanba and Victrix have no Xbox versions? I mean SF6, MK1, and Tekken 8 are coming out on Xbox you would think they would start making Xbox versions.
Hello, I hope this quesrion finds you in an old video With this leverless, can the buttons and switches be changed? Like when they inevitably die or need replacement, how easy is it to replace? What kinda of button or switches work? Are these buttons not reliable? Thank you!
Hey Briar Rabbit! Remember you from Destiny, glad to see you diversified your content! I have a few questions, so I recently bought the Victrix pro FS 12 as well and this is my first leverless stick and have not used any sticks extensive. However I came from PC gaming so thought the transition would be better plus I feel the lever is imprecise for me. I sort of got used to it now, however, I still need to get use to pinky and ring fingers movements, is there anything I can do for that. And my fingers cramp and so do my wrists a bit. Not sure if it's more a muscle memory thing similar to when I moved from console to PC and learned wasd, it hurt at first just for the motions but got used to it so it doesn't. Is that the same case? Or should I be hovering my hands the whole time over them like a piano? Is there a particular hand placement for hitbox controllers? Sorry for the long comment
I’m ordering one of these today, just can’t decide on color. Was thinking about a slab mini or fightbox but I like all the extra space for my hands to rest on. I cannot stand not being able to rest my hands on the enclosure completely.
well this works but if you already got one you can add a brook universal board and add the ps5 extension. i’m sure there are also cheaper versions if not but i’m sure this ones a really good controller
The price scared me off, it’s a fighting game controller, if your not playing fighting games it’s useless, $400.00 is outrageous, especially when they hit you with the $30.00 tax on top of that, if your a pro, I’d get a hit box, they are better and cheaper.
Its good for beatem up games also, Streets of Rage 4, Shredders Revenge, Final Vendetta, River City Girls, Capcom Beaten Up Bundle, Slave Zero X etc. I got the white version with a stick, not a fan of hit boxes.

I love the extra weight and space on this thing. Each to their own 👍🏿. Try Qanba gravity buttons too.

Lmao! You should have bought the Razer Kitsune Cammy edition and save yourself $70

Razer Kitsune got it all
aren’t the l3 and r3 on top?
Thanks for writing this. I’m trialing the controller while I wait for the snack box next month. The bulk is a bit much

Yeah but the layout spacing of the kitsune is bigger not great for small hands. The Victrix is just about 100$ overpriced for what it is.
Well i have "big hands "so @Riku9361

Where did you get your buttons from to make them quieter?

xbox has kinda been fucked when it comes to fighting games and anything fighting game related for a while.
Evo is owned by Sony, think about it.

Have you ever try an Hori Fighting Edge? I would be interested in hearing your opinion for reference
Awesome stick, will work on ps5

Do you feel your USBC cable fits in tight, but has a lot of wiggle to it?
Did you figure out R3 and L3 are on the top?
Lol
What other options do I have if I want to play SF6 and MK1 on PS5 this year. Having trouble finding something else and I don't want to mod.
Pad
I find MK plays best on a pad either way. I assume a hitbox style would work well too. But playing MK on stick just feels wrong
I have a hitbox but I can’t use it on my ps5 to play ps5 games, does the feel of this feel the same as a hitbox? If so I might have to pick this up
Buy a Brook Wingman FGC and continue to use your hitbox brother
Question so I am trying to save up for a Sehawei M13 hitbox controller for PS4, so would you need this adapter or the wingman xe2 @@turftrash3971

You're paying extra for the purple color.
Did he ever explain what the top row of buttons do??
Just too expensive. I'd love to get one, but there is the JAC-J800b for 130 less.
Sucks that this is the only leverless that works on ps5
There's no real reason to get this or hitbox frankly when you can get custom made for the same price basically.
If this thing isn't comming to Europe soon iam skipping on it.

500….. bucks…..
This is literally the same color as my 2019 Dodge Charger. Awesome. I'm not sure about fight sticks with no stick tho. Kinda weird.
people like them and they seem to work really well in the competitive scene
