Videos don't do justice to the spectacular lighting of a Tool experience. You have to be present to truly appreciate how stunning it is. Its otherworldly and surreal.

bonyboy_loves_candy - you can’t zoom in too far on a phone... but especially when you can’t see the screen (except for on a watch). Not ideal conditions, but you do what you can at times. Also, you have to enjoy the show instead of worrying about your how your mediocre, second rate copy of an amazing experience is gonna turn out.
I missed the New York show because of work that day( it was about a week later from this one in Brooklyn) I was very very upset for a long time. I really appreciate you making this video, I at least have an idea of what it sounded like.
@@JhonnyOnasis Man I'm closer to 40 than 30, and I only discovered Tool like 6 months ago...they've been recommended to me for 25 years and somehow, SOMEHOW I ignored those recommendations til one day in March I heard 46&2 and that was it...game over...best band I've ever heard. I really hope they tour western Europe again some day, as I missed their europe leg of the world tour last year, but I'd travel to see them live. Hope you get another chance to see them too, and thanks again for uploading this gig, it's the one Danny's drum cam of Pneuma was shot at, I'm sure you know :D
Yah. It was pretty cool to see Pneuma from both perspectives. Definitely a great show to see if you get a chance. I’d recommend indoor over outdoor, but both are amazing.
Had a little shelf right in front of my seat. Propped the phone up on it using my wallet. Stabilized the venue shake out as much as I could. Another fun note, this is through glass.
JhonnyOnasis Interesting. I was wondering how you’re able to film all of this despite the band’s camera policy. Saw them in toronto on November 12 and I didn’t use my phone at all until the final song for that reason. And security was walking up and down and even went in my row at one point.
My buddy saw both shows in Toronto and care down to the Boston show with me. We tried to wait it out and get cheap tickets but ended up having to buy seats in a luxury section.... the kids won’t have an amazing” Xmas, but I wasn’t bothered while trying to film the show.

I went to the Newark, NJ show with my wife during this tour. She loves Tool, I only knew a handful of songs going into the show, but I had an awesome time and the overall vibe was great. The other people sitting near us were cool as hell. And the band sounded fucking great, of course.
I have the same concerns too. What’s the purpose of yelling “whooooooha” out loud? It does nothing but distract. Such intense music needs to be deeply listened to. And the constant talking. Stop it people!
Your over thinking it. If you have the opportunity to see Tool. Can find and can afford tickets for Tool, consider yourself lucky, and go see Tool. If you go to that show and regardless of the fans the merchandise, the food,people smoking, not smoking,yelling,not yelling, recording, not recording. if you go to Tool and you pay attention to what the band gives to you and you don't enjoy it that's on you. I say good fucking luck getting tickets! But if you can get tickets.... go. Good luck! Keep us posted!😎
Am I the only one who notices how Maynard’s voice starts off kind off not great for Fear Inoculum, but by the time Pneuma rolls around he sounds normal and good?
Donkey Aintslover that happens a lot in general with performers. They get better after warming up on the first few songs. And sometimes by the end of a show, If they are putting out a lot of effort, their voices start to weaken by the end sometimes.
Ummm no he doesn't.. I've herd the sound has been off a little on this tour, but i was there in Boston and they sounded amazing. And the Garden isn't always the best for concerts.

A camera cannot capture nearly as much dynamic range as the eyes and ears can. Also, how did you get the camera so steady? A tripod??
