@@bt0694 I’d say start at the start with the original Harrison Ford movie then watch the Ryan gosling movie, they aren’t separate versions they are just movies set in different times
The shot of Nebula jumping from the waterfall is an homage to the Harrison Ford movie, The Fugitive.

This was a 10/10 episode for me. Nebula looked so badass with the Nova Corp helmet.
Sadly I think it’ll be the only 10/10 episode this season. The hela one looks promising though

I really loved this episode. I feel like it was moving too fast at times but there's only 30 minutes so not much you can do about that. I could really watch a whole series like this.

This is actually quite good....I would love to read a Detective Nebula series. I think this episode was too short. It could have been an hour. Howard the Duck was great...I want more.

But lots of things that didn't make sense about Loki, like for instance how the hell was he able to revive those timeline branches in the season finale? Made no sense at all

@@acegardianarocrat nah. Loki's Magic just doesn't work like that. Nowhere before it's been shown he has powers like that he used to revive those timeline branches. It seemed like a convenient plot ability that came out of nowhere to make Loki seat on the throne😅

I love how they talk about five years of isolation and everyone going crazy, making us think of covid. But they're isolated on an entire planet? A decent amount of the population probably never left the planet anyway. It's interesting how interconnected some planets are.
I did not expect for Nebula to fit so well in a cyberpunk detective noir awesome first ep
I know everyone keeps mentioning how much this reminded them of bladerunner and while I can’t argue with that I also got some heavy Courosant vibes as well
it reminded me of Ghost in the Shell too
They are literally rock (korg), paper (groot), scissors (meek)
The thing you have to remember is this isn’t Guardians 1 Xandar or Yondu, this is 5 years after they put up shields for Ronan.

Great video! However I don’t get why you skipped Nebula’s triple trick plus and Roman’s demise.
THE fact that all it take to defeat Ronin was opening and closing the shields at the right timing is that idea when people says its dumb but actually works, really funny how it make sense it works but really shouldnt which make plot device-y but I digress
Thanos being defeated just like that is even more funny. We don't even know if Ronan had Power Stone or not.

I didn’t think that nebula would become super nova
I liked the noir feel to it, but it didn't really make sense why Nova Prime was able to put up the shield, but the only way to remove it was locked away like that.

Am I the only one who noticed the subtle 3-body problem references. Covering a planet in a computer, Xandar being a three star system, alien invasion with traitors... Am I wishing this true?

Solid first episode. Difficult not to like the world/setting homage of Blade Runner. Karen and Nebula are underrated, really a great character.

Nebula having a VO was not Usual Suspects. It was, like almost everything else in the episode, a Blade Runner reference. The original theatrical release of BR had voiceover. Something I thought was nerd trivia 101.

I think it's implied the longer fin is the older fin and that he used it first. Upgraded to the short one and then went back to the long one out of necessity.
