This is normal weather for Alberta. There's always a good cold snap. A Chinook will come in a few days.

Don't think so, it has more to do with the shifting polar vortex. Some places will get extra cold whilst other remain warm, welcome to climate change

Well we live in Ontario so here we have wet snow and rain and a few days ago it was plus 10 c so I guess we are doing pretty good but too bad cuz I want to ice fishing and that's not happening yet

When I moved to Canada, I thought I could no longer complain about cold. I thought if I got fussy around a bunch of hockey players, I would be an easy target for people who played team boxing on ice! Apparently I showed up acclimated? At least I am in a part of Canada where a bunch of people are from the foothills of the Himalayas. They are OK with some snow.
