I know this videos so old but I just want to say I aspire to be like you. You have litterally become my inspiration and role model. Granted I'm already 38 but I've been a stay at home Mom for years and love to craft. I got into the idea of soap and beauty products to maybe sell on Etsy. Watching you has really opened up my mind to the possibility this can all work out for me. I was looking up how to set up for craft fairs because I thought maybe I can do one of them in the future. Ofcoarse your video was the first one to pop up after my search lol. You set up so beautiful and for some reason your information and just general personaily always lights a spark in me. Thank you Ellen, seriously. I wish you nothing but the best!!! P.S I have a cart waiting on your website, I just haven't made a solid decision yet on which soaps of yours I want lol! Wish I could buy them all!!!
Perfect u shape set up. That is the only way I do mine when I used to sell at markets. I do love all the stall set up! Especially the crates and risers. It so nice to see the man behind the scenes too. I haven't heard of butter bean soap, will have to search her out. Tysm for sharing!
I like your set up at the market l live in the Caribbean and l also do a bit of soaping l like watching your channel you do have a down to earth approach to your craft all the best to you and your family
Thank you for sharing your setup! If you ever decide to do a sampler pack of your beer soaps, you should call it a flight instead of a six pack for the full sized bars! Lovely box from The Butter Bean Shop too! Fantastic packaging job!
@@EllenRuthSoap it's north west Alabama. I've been thinking about renting a space, but I don't want to drag 3 kids downtown and the festivities start at 5
I love your setup, it's so country chic, which is right up my alley! You and your hubs are adorbs and I am happy you got your hands on some of Megs soaps, I love that lady and her products, shes my boo! Also, Ellen you have to try her body butters! Gurllll! Amazing!
Really like your set up and the location of that market is under the trees is amazing. So in TN you can make and sell other products besides soap??? Sadly here in FL you can't
@@EllenRuthSoap you mean the Kraft paper band? Thats what I currently use :) BTW I’m using my emulsified body butter (you featured a while back) right now
I’m a newbie and my soaps will be cured & ready to go in my local Louisiana farmers market in august. I’m scared the heat will mess up my soaps over the course of the day. Do you find this to be an issue?
Nice. Thank you for showing this. I have a couple of Farmer Market I will be going for the first time. I know have an idea

Great setup!
Very nice set up.
Thank you for providing tips/suggestions!!!
Thanks, and you're welcome!
If you ever feel like checking out more markets, Florence AL has a monthly event called First Fridays. I think it's $25/month for 10x10 booth space.
Oooo, that's a really fair price for a booth... I'll check into it. I don't think it's too far from me..?

💖💞Very nice booth set up! I love it. I just started a local farmers market and I can’t wait for my first set up there! And very nice unboxing!💞💖
Thanks! The markets are really fun..

Thanks so much! And I'll definitely check out her butters next time!
Like the big black hanging labels looks nice you should buy flowers and put the heads around on your display
Ellen, just found your channel (yeah!). Love your booth setup!
Welcome! And thanks😀
Super cute set ups!!! And it looks like a fun market 😊
Thank you, it's a work in progress. The market is a blast!
What a beautiful setup! I just find you and I’m in love of your soaps!
Thank you so much!🥰
💖 you’re welcome 😊
Wish I could have a farmers marked stand but we don’t have that around where I live. Very Nice presentation.
Thanks ☺️
Just watching your older video. I do craft show too. I have 4 x cancelled due to COVID-19. Stay Safe.
Thanks, you stay safe too😘
Your setup look very inviting! Hubby is very handsome 🤗. Do you have many people request Hot Process soap?
Thanks! I've never had someone ask specifically for HP, but they do buy it.
Ill be down there as soon as I can, is this recent?
This was 2 seasons ago

Thanks. Yes, we can sell and market our products as long as we have insurance.
can you please show us how you made the green and caramel color soap on 0:31?? they look stunning
Thanks! The green one is Avocado-Clay-Aloe, and the Carmel colored one is Calendula & Carrot, they both have videos posted. 😉
Hi Ellen, I watch all your videos. I like your bioth setup. What do you use to put your soaps in to transport to and from shows.
I use the wooden display boxes to carry them😉
Thanks
Our farmers markets are sooo expensive to set up with. I want to, but would have to sell at least 40 bars to just break even. How do you manage that?
This particular market had a really good vendor fee.. I've seen some very expensive ones and have avoided them.
Do you shrink wrap all your soaps?
No, just the super “showy” ones, I use Kraft paper for the majority of my wrapping.
I found the humidity was hard on the labels, and did cause some sweating issues. A fan in my booth was a help.
How do you prevent theft if you are talking with a person on one side and there are others on the other side?
It's always good to have 2 people in a booth if you're able. But I never had an issue with theft, most folks at the farmers market are super nice.
