The hair of the bow has blood on it because he's not playing the instrument. He's playing his heart.
But he is playing a song on the *violin*
Thats right my friend hes playing from his heart

@@lettuce6590 I believe the previous commenter was going for the more artistic sense, rather than literal. An artist conveys massages wrapped in a poetic or sensory delivery system. The violin is the symbol for his heart. As the heart sorts and conveys feelings, the violin was the audible sense conveying sadness. This sadness eventually breaks his heart, aka the violin. The blood on it was to grab the viewers attention that there was a message conveyed. That sadness can break a heart. The blood also symbolizes a breakthrough from the artistic message to reality and the realness of the message.
Or he signed a blood pact with Satan
Sometimes you love something so much that you end up destroying it
And then become a sociopath...
You can't destroy it, if you loved it. "This is what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object...": something gives, I think it's generally the one who loved.
And fuck sociopath, who cares.
@@SauvikRoy u have to destroy it even what u loved starting to betray u
And you deny to let it go even when you see how it is braking apart slowly till the moment you see you are hurting yourself too.
I guess you want to talk about "attachment"
I love how it sounds like the violin is suffering with him. You can see it deteriorate as he pressed harder and harder, and at a certain point it almost sounds like the instrument is crying out. They are one in the same, both breaking down. The pure emotion from the sound is striking and inspiring. Truly amazing.
This... I live for this, one of the many many reasons I feel in love with kind of music(thanks to your lie in april) there's beauty in sadness.. sorry for rambling

This brings me back to a quote I read a long time ago, the name of the person who said it escapes me at the moment, but it said "Musicians don't retire; they stop when there's no more music left in them."
Louis Armstrong
I haven't read this anywhere but your words made me think:
"(Likewise) A writer does not retire, they only stop when their words run out."
CrazyFantasyCat I like your analogy, but it's not exactly the same thing.
I know, it's just what came to mind.

Music, playing and acting are just great. This is a very touching peace of art because it is so authentic (I'm not talking about realism). It is about loss, desperation, fear and anger. The protagonist obviously is facing a catastrophe why he is so upset. And in his rage he destroys the only thing he still holds dear, the only thing he still loves with passion. And with this captivating, stunning and deeply depressing love he destroys something that has made up a huge, tremendously important part of his life. He doesn't really mean to. It just happens. He lets go, he does no longer control anything. His fear and sorrow merge with the tender sympathy he feels for the violin. Und thus he kills it.
When he becomes aware of what he just did, he is shocked, can't believe that he has been capable of committing such a crime against his greatest passion and thus against himself. He has just killed a vivid part of his own being he will never able to replace.
Just an interpretation.

1:36 hits me hard, that look of pure internalized pain. He portrayed the look of agony flawlessly, such raw emotion, the sound of wood sawing mixed in once all the strings snapped
I absolutely love this so much
2Cellos: breaks bow hair
Me: I think they’re playing a bit too hard
Him: disintegrates entire violin
2cellos thunderstruck😍😍
Him: Parry this you fucking casual
I feel like my heart is being ripped out of my chest while listening to this. In addition the video makes it more painful because it adds up to the feeling of "breaking down". It's like the player's sorrow is so deep that even the violin itself isn't able to contain his emotions or even communicate them to the world. 😢 The violin is literally breaking down due to the input of emotion!
This is how pain looks like... This is how one ends up harming his body because of emotional pain. There is no violin to take the pain in many cases. Sorrow keeps building up to the point the "medium" simply can't take it all away.
Well said of a poet
Evangelia Kallia I couldn't have said it better myself ...this video just hurts my heart
the fact that he either choses to ignore the fact that hes carving through his violin or simpy hasnt realized how much damage he has inflicted upon his violin (aka could be interpreted at himself )for his music is just wow
I agree, it's very emotional. I think my interpretation of this was that his violin was already broken/ruined/weak and instead of protecting it by never using it again, he plays this final piece, even though he's destroying it more by doing so, like a dramatic final act in a play.
Damn. I have to say this is pretty epic.
Dude, can you take the tab for this song? Please i have 6 months searching for someone to help me, and i am very desesperate. I am already one of your subscribers but please i need your help. I beg you.... please 😔😔
Apparently you don't know the meaning of the word epic. This is a 2 minute piece not a grand epic

I can identity with what this violinist was feeling. There are moments when you’re so discouraged and angry at the violin that you just want to stop, but I usually find that is when I need to pick it up the most. I need a reminder of the reason why I play. Without it, I’d be so confused and alone; it gives me a way to express my emotions in beautiful, clear sound.

Sarah Sawan- same, seeing a violin bleed was almost heartbreaking 🎻
I feel like this song represents a person who has felt some type of emotional pain, therefore, they push themselves in order to fulfill some type of hole in their heart. The violin represents the heart as it breaks down to pieces in a visual representation of that emotional pain partnered with self-torment. While, in the end, they might’ve achieved their goal but have completely broken themselves in the process.
i have seen this video pop up like crazy for about a year now... when i finally clicked on it, and listened to the song and saw the video, i totally regret not clicking on it sooner... really beautiful and a lot of different emotions and feelings mixed into all of this...
i actually seen how much he loves the violin, how he's crying, it hurts him so much that his violin is slowly dying, but he's still so much in love with the violin. the violin gives it it's all to please him... the violin really brought out the best out of the violinists.

I’m writing a book inspired by this video (that I hope to make a movie someday) and it’s called “Violin: The Last Note”. It follows the life of a young violinist man named Eagan O’Neil who meets a beautiful girl called Agenilda Hart that later (major spoilers below, only tap read more if you don’t mind)….
…becomes his wife. Now, she has a rare autoimmune disorder (multiple sclerosis) that she kept secret from Eagan, but then she gets sick suddenly and of course has to disclose her issues to her husband. Within a few weeks though, she gradually gets better, until finally she is healthy again, lasting around 2 weeks. At this point, Eagan has had a special recital to preform for quite a few months prior. But not 3 days before said performance, Agenilda gets a *seemingly* minor cold. The very day of his recital, she is still a bit sick and he just doesn’t want to leave her alone, but his stubborn-willed wife refuses to let him give up his dream just to stay home with her because she’s a “tiny bit” ill. Eagan can’t argue and goes to his recital. Afterwards, just as it had ended, he is brought some devastating news by a college; Agenilda had suddenly passed, sometime during his performance… all alone. This video would be like the day or so after. Btws, something important to know is, besides his wife, his only other “best friend” is his violin… and he destroys it in his utter grief over his love, Agenilda. Also, whenever he plays his violin, everything else for him fades except the notes from his music. This is why he doesn’t realize until it’s too late that he’s killing his “best friend”, because he’s so out of touch with reality due to his anguish.
Now, of course there’s much more to the book than that, but I’ve been writing it off and on for almost 3 years and only recently (like, today) been inspired to write in it again. I’m so excited to get my story out to the world!
Here’s the text of the 1st page:
CHAPTER ONE
The Garden and The Girl
Eagan O'Neill, a young and passionate violinist, had began on his way down a sun-kissed garden path in the early morning. With him he brought his precious violin. He planned to play it under the garden's serene gazebo.
Eagan walked slowly, calmly, taking in the beauty of the landscape as he passed it by. Finally, he arrived at his favorite spot for playing the violin.
Quick yet gentle, he whipped out his instrument and started to play. The bow slid across the strings like skates on a frozen pond. Silence broke, turning into beautiful harmony. All but the sound of his notes faded for Eagan. He was in a world of his own, a world filled with symphonies. Every sound he played showed even more spirit than the last.
Suddenly, his concentration was shattered by a gorgeous site; a young girl who had caught his eye. Eagan blushed slightly, he was unaware anyone had been listening.
After 4 years I still can’t get enough of this video and its deep impressions…
OMFG!
I want to cry. Like, he expresses his emotion in his instrument. The crying in the beginning made me feel like he's depressed or just sad, or he feels like he's dying inside. That's why the instrument was breaking, because you let all your emotion out on an instrument. It's truly beautiful.

I love you 😂😂
HAHAHA
The last sentence was a whisper in my head 😭
Hahahaha
I love when you can find music 3 years ago and still be emotionally attached to it so well done! Sometimes we love so much and it can kill
It was painful watching this... Never seen an instrument broke like that. That piece was filled with desperation and emotion to the point that the violin could not endure any longer. It was sorrowful😞. Bravo!😭🙌
I feel the pain-the loss,fear and anger.
I believe it's something no one should feel buts it's. unavoidable. That'slife that's why I promise. Not to myself butfor everyone else that is I won't lose this fight. that I almost give up on each day
I've been looking at a blank screen for the past few minutes. I don't know what I was expecting but oh lord this was just simply amazing
I will not give him my violin
Same bro 😐
😂😂😂
I need way more of this. Just solid violin, on it's own, no other instruments or singers or background noise. Just a solo violin and nothing else. Thank you
Wow. That was just breathtaking. The emotion. The heartbreak. Everything was just laid out so clearly and yet it was sad. Never seen a classical music video that can measure up to this.
My favorite part is at the end when he looks at his bow in shock because there's blood on it. Absolutely fantastic.
2:08 When the drugs kick in and you still hear music coming from your snareless violin...
This video reminded me with a quote of my first novel
"I was playing with your violin, you were playing with my heart"
i cant play this kind of instrument, but this video showing me everything about art of music
Learn. Ordering mines. It’s never to late. I promise.
i think this speaks more about *passion* . his love for music transcended beyond the physical connection of the bow touching the strings of his violin that he can *hear* the music when he was in the dangling trance, all the while his beloved violin falling into pieces little by little. the blood represents how he lives and breathes through this passion.
This left me in tears.... Please, can I use the sound track, I'm currently working on a short movie, after a story I wrote about a girl who is hearing violin music in her head... And is there a scene, where she is blankly staring in the steam of a tea cup, while the filing music starts slow at first, then becomes more and more louder, the actress won't have any lines... But she haves to express extremely strong and overwhelming emotions..... She will be breathing with the tempo of the music, and she will burst Into tears, shaking.... I couldn't found any melody to fit the scene, it haves to be a powerful song, witch could make the audience cry.... And understand her feelings of despair.... This fits so well
Ihssan elkasimi im dead 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Your grammar makes my teeth cringe. Please learn how to spell the words you really want to use.
@@patriciajrs46 actually English is not my first language, so apologies for any visual discomfort my poorly worded comment has caused you, but I suspect you might want to try taking that carrot out of your ass, it makes you rather tense, darling
In my perspective, this is more like a psychological horror. The violin is actually his companion, with whom he had an argument (or divorce maybe)-the beginning shout and tears can prove this. Then, during the argument, which is the man playing the violin, is gentle at first but soon escalated into breaking the violin, which stands for the argument becoming a violence. The final scene, the violin breaking down and the bow has blood on it, therefore means the death of the unshown person.
SuperFashi I like the idea it makes sense but what you don’t realize is that violin is his partner, when you play your violin and get used to it it’s like it the only one you’ll ever get used to. But when you lose t or break it it’s just a funeral cause you will never find the exact same one again.
That was deep...
I have no words. love cannot break my heart but it does. i am feeling the pain to my very bone.
Ah I was on this video a year ago and It just popped in my head so I looked it up because I remember the name of the video/song
Amazing holy shit
I showed this to a friend and he kinda got the message
He said he’s bleeding because he wasn’t actually playing the violin
I said “he’s bleeding because you play an instrument form the heart and soul not the actual instrument”
Not sure if I was right but this is still good
Dead Boy do U know the song
The man was actually sad because his violin was about to die and asked for him to play it one last time, like a suicide before death. He was mad at the violin for wanting to end its life right then and there instead of waiting for a solution but he also knew there was no hope. So the man agreed to fulfill the violin's last wish and that's why he shed a tear.
Q V or maybe the guy went thru some things and violin is the only thing he has left?
Now that's how you show how much you love your violin. By playing it with all your heart❤
To me this feels like someone slowly slipping into and succumbing to something like alzheimer's or dementia, slowly forgetting everything. Their mind slowly disintegrating (like the violin) and the only thing they can hold onto, the only memories they have left, are those of the music, of the time and effort they put into learning and mastering their craft, only to have it slowly be ripped away from them. Truly, a sad thought, one that is a reality for many unfortunate souls.

Meaningless sites
Meaningless likes
Questions and answers
And deep conversations.
Till it's time to head to bed
And nothings been written or read
Nothing required that is.
the boredom off life the meaningless existence we stare for distractions while we slowly decay we cry we break we put ourself back togheter to exist is pain to die is nothing oh existence is so cruel but without it we would be nothing
But one can only stop and think
"Does it even matter?" so many times
We try to make sense of life
We fall and we rise again and again
How much more can we take
Is this all in our heads
We wrap our wounds and try to march on
We'll live
We'll survive
No shoulder to cry on
Can't tell them how you feel because you'll just get in the way of their own fight
And you can't help them either
You go through each day and night
You try to stop the pain
Sometimes with the same fire
You fight one with the other although there both the same
And you know this
You know it won't help
So you give up
Because ... Everyone leaves eventually
Everyone leaves.
Even yourself
So why wait
So you try.
And you fail
Again
And you fail
15 times you've failed
You stay.
You stay because you can't leave
You stay because you aren't as lucky as the rest.
So you'll stay.
And you'll help.
And you'll watch them all leave
They float away like balloons and sink like stones
And you?
Can only watch.
Only exist
Only feel
Can't do anything about it.
....
At least they lived the best that could be done.
They couldn't handle it anymore
You did your best...
Now you wait for another one.....
Just wait until they leave too...
Taking up all these names
Faces
Memories
You remember them all
And they'll always stick.
Not one being replaced.
Each in youre mind.
....
But you're never to be in theirs.
Which is fine.
You were just seasonal anyways....
They'll leave.
And you'll get left behind...

Man, I almost cry. It's beautiful.
Someone needs to make an arrangement of this
The Pain I live with everyday.... I lost the woman God told me I would marry, I was 13 years old when the holy spirit told me, 6 years later God brought us together and... I ruined it... I have studied Classical violin for 11 years, since I was 8, and this entire thing with her took away my love for music, for the instrument, my failures destroyed all my motivation for everything, it is all gone, my motivation to live, my motivation to eat, my motivation as a prodigy violinist. and it is all MY fault :'( After I work my 12-16 hour day (which I do usually 6 days a week pouring cement, I'm so lucky I have today off) I come home, and I struggle to pick my violin up, by then it is 10 or 11 pm, I still try to play, so much but my fingers literally ache to the point where I'm crying as I play, no matter how hard I try the pain won't go away inside and out, I force myself to keep trying, I've lost so much that music is the only thing I have left. my heart... is gone, everything :'( I feel nothing but pain, I see nothing but notes on a page, I don't see the story I used to, I hear nothing when I play. I.. call me weak but for so long I gave everything I could give, and it still wasn't good enough for anyone because all they wanted to see was how flawed I am. WE ALL ARE FLAWED TO THE POINT THAT WE ARE UNWANTABLE, It is only by saving grace that we exist as we are. So.. I made mistakes, I still make mistakes. I'm not perfect, I'm... like all of you, we are all just specs of dust undeserving, but we have been saved by a loving savior. Someday we are sent someone, they have a choice to love us no matter how hard it gets, part of that love should be forgiving mistakes no matter how big, forgiving and trying and trying till we get it. Love takes work just like music, as a Violinist I have encountered some of the most challenging pieces of music known to man, pieces meant to be literally IMPOSSIBLE for a human being to play with 5 fingers, but I've learned and performed. If I would have given up then I wouldn't be where I am now, LOVE is like that. LOVE, is exactly like that. and the mistakes we make can be like that impossible song to learn, mistakes so impossible to forgive we think it can't be possible, but it is possible, it takes a real heart like Jesus for someone to see what you are and still treasure you, love you and work with you. I understand I am.. unlovable in nature, so I have no hope, no matter what success I'm achieving now, The House I'm moving in to, the new car, everything I'm being blessed with, It's.. the pain won't go away, and it's really killing me slowly, but surely, especially all the weight that's gone. So... pray for me I guess and learn from my story. Gives this a thumbs up so everyone sees
John Chapter 13
"34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another."
Remember when Jesus died for us all, he was excusing the INEXCUSABLE sin, every mistake, every wrong doing, He didn't just say I forgive you, he said I'm never going to stop working with you

By focusing only on ourselves and the things that we want without thinking about tge others we tend to hurt the people we love without realizing it and the reality hits us only when we lose them .. That is how interpreted this masterpiece 🎻🖤

This hit me in the feels.
Whenever I feel really down, I play, and it feels and sounds different than normal. I take all my feeling and put it into my violin and the paper when I'm composing. When the strings just kept breaking in the video it made me tense up, nothing works and it can't be fixed, and yet he went on playing, without the strings music flowed from his fingers. He didn't give up till he was finished even though it killed his instrument. He almost looked relieved when he was finished, like the pain he was in went into the violin and is now gone.
Somehow I find this both depressing and inspirational...
It would be a very sad world if there was never a violin to be heard!
Well damn don't play too hard next time.
I don't play violin but this video feels like torturing an animal.
Roescoe1 why do you think he's torturing animal??
I get the feeling that when a musician plays they become one with their instrument, or at least they are trying to have a conversation with their instrument. Whether that conversation is sad or happy or ugly, the smashing of the instrument feels like the ultimate betrayal.
This is how I feel when I see videos where they step on or burn pianos.
Heh I haven't seen any of those. But that sounds terrible. I guess I also dislike it because instruments are made with beauty in mind. They're designed to look very pleasing to the eye, so I don't like the destruction of beauty either.
Where can I find the sheet music for this?

I expected a remake of death of a bachelor, I got something 1000000x better
Sometimes in life a man meets his fate. The acceptance of this fate is not a rational proces but an emotional, even a spiritual one. The human reaction, emotionally in tears, can result in performing deeds of distruction. Even when the proces is creating music it can become distructive. The violin is paying the price for being played upon by a man in tears struggling with his fate... in the mean time we hear music.
I looked up "man plays violin and breaks it" and then I found this song and I love it.
