Met a man today, 87 years old, who was forced from his home in Poland to work at the age of 5 years old for the Nazi's in Germany. He was so full of grace and patience and you could tell that he had seen the worst of mankind, yet wore the grace and strength that comes from seeing the worst, so that everything else that happens in an ordinary life is "piece of cake". Theme from Schindler's List was reverberating in my ears the whole time we were talking. What a man!
We have Russia to thank for our freedom. Never forget that.
Do you know Angel Sanz Brizz? He saved 2.000 people more than Schindler in Budapest, but Spielberg didnt make him a movie... 🙂
I'm surprised they allowed him to work the nazis had no use for children especially that young most of the time they were sent straight to the gas
This tune no matter who plays it always gives my eyes a good washing out 😢,in memory of all the jews and poles who suffered and died 😢😢.
Who ever is the person that first crafted the violine literally gave the instrument a soul. You can literally hear her the violin Crying as she plays. And the only time I have ever heard a violine weeping more than this was getting a chance to see the people at the Holocaust museum play the instruments that were lucky enough to survive the horrors of those years
The most beautiful version I have ever Heard… outstanding.
As much as I dislike admitting it (I adore Itzhak Perlman), I prefer her playing of this hauntingly beautiful piece. The gut wrenching emotion pouring from her violin is masterful. Brava, Ms. Klodova.
❤
It’s sad yet beautiful
Dear Ellen, your interpretation is fantastic and when you play, you speak to the soul and the tears flow. Congratulations.
Such a beautiful sound, and the visuals to go with it have such an artistic quality, such beauty and grace. It makes me calm to listen and I felt this was filmed to be put right into a beautiful movie
Absolutely magical ✨️
This is so beautiful....❤
Simply stunning!
Bravo 👏👏👏👏

Excellent 😍😍😍
The question is! What is more beautiful? You Ellen ? Or the music you are playing ? I am listening to this since the last two weeks every evening. Because this is a sad melody. And today , two weeks ago , my father died. I am listen to it in memory of Oscar Schindler , all jewish People , and my beloved father.!!! Cause I´m still sad.!!!
Beautiful
Nádhera. Gratuluji. Super poslech
My heart is split by her violin bow !
Amazing!
Linda música, porém triste lembrança do holocasto!!!! Passa uma mansidão e beleza musical!!! Parabéns a moça e violonista!!!!
WAU !!! AND THANK YOU VERY MUCH FROM FINLAND !!!
Just hearing the beginning notes from this piece I get the feeling of being kicked in the gut. All I can picture is that little girl in her red jacket. Never Again
So beautiful yet so sad 😢

Thanks for playing :)
Hitler once said that the Reich will still exist in 1000 years, well he was wrong.
It would be nice if this melody would still be known in 1000 years. :)
Wonderful greats vom Germany

If I had walked by her in that moment I would have picked up from the ground all the notes spoken by her violin and embrace them all nigjt in while sleeping.

I think this is the best version I’ve heard not only because of how technically perfectly it was played, but the slower speed encapsulates more of the emotion. And I feel like with this song it’s IMPERATIVE.
Absolutely read my mind!
Completely agree !
I was going to make a similar comment. I've heard performers absolutely ruin this wonderfully haunting piece but this is not one of them. Still maybe not quite the depth of feeling of Issac Perlman's original but I totally agree that slower is better here. What a find.
Shalom
Beautiful
❤❤
That humans could invent and play such a beautiful piece gives me eternal hope.
One thing that will always stay with me from 'Schindler's List' is what Oskar Schindler says despite saving so many from the Holocaust: "I could've got one more person, and I didn't. And I didn't!" An amazing rendition of this beautiful theme. The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good people to do nothing.
Same
OS sacrificed his wealth for the whole of mankind.
I'm starting to believe this..
I couldn't listen without crying. How can there be such beautiful playing! Truly soul touching.
You're not Human if this piece doesn't make you cry.
Just lovely, she makes the violin cry for all of the lost souls.
❤😢so well said!!!!
Thanks for this beautiful song
Shalom et paix en se jour mémorial 😢
So different from Itzhak Perlman's original version, yet so profound and sad... one of the best renditions of this piece I have ever heard. Congratulations!
When Jesus cried for sinners...
WOW!! Everything about this video and your playing is perfect in my opinion. Your amazing bow hand, your relaxed and effortless left hand, intonation, expression, dynamics, tempo staying true yet expressive. you don't exaggagerate your body and facial expressions (its not an act, your feeling is authentic). I was mesmorised by this performance. For me, this is the benchmark for me to strive toward. WOW!! I am a big fan.
Beautiful
Amazing. The best performance I've ever seen. So humble and elegant. The violin cries.
Dear Ellen, you played it with such profound feelings and emotions. You make even the heavenly angels cry. I've never heard it played so beautifully until now. The movie and piece is near and dear to me and now it resonates more deeply within my heart. Thank you ever so kindly. God bless you. 🙏🏻❣️🙏🏻
Concordo plenamente com vc
A huge emotion ❤️
Iam is sedih...menangis denger lagu ini...ohhh my god
Just great.
thank you
Touching! I love Schindler's List, both the movie and the soundtrack. Although I am from Russia, I do not support the war! Peace to our peoples! Peace on earth!
Your people senselessly kill Ukrainians now .. same horrible way Hitler murdered my brothers and sisters and innocent babies in Auschwitz.. this violin cried for murdered innocent Jewish souls … 6mln of them
You can hear the utter sense of hopelessness and i don’t know what to do in her rendition of this haunting piece.. she plays it perfectly
Hermoso.
I cry every time I listen this beautiful music… We shouldn’t forget our history…
Amazing performance by Ellen. Unforgettable film by Spielberg, one of the best one so far 😥😥😥
It is my absolute belief that this is the greatest movie ever made - and the score is a huge part of that.
This is 100% perfect - no one could have done a better job 😢💔
💞
No question, the greatest film ever.
The most difficult scene for me from Schindler’s List is seeing the little boy trying find a place to hide, being denied by his fellow Jews, and he winds up taking the plunge into the bathroom 🚽 down into the sewer where all the 💩 is 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
All that makes me think is: “I could have got one more…”. Very well-played!
“She who saves one life, saves the world entire.”
Mr. Angel Sanz-Briz said the same. He saved 1.900 people more than Schindler in Budapest.
Magnifique
Že? ....je úžasná 😊😊
Ellen, touto skladbou jsi dostala mne u mého muže. Procítěný každý tón, absolutně věrohodně s originálem. Máš obrovský talent!
I seldom listen to renditions because I end up comparing them to the original and be disappointed, but you played this with such profound beauty I'm sure even Itzhak Perlman would appreciate it.
Violin cries in memory of lost innocent Jewish souls murdered senselessly.. that music .. the first sound of the violin bring those overwhelming emotions and tears pouring and it hurts ! Beautifully performed .. heartbreaking history and one of the greatest performances.. Never again ! Never forget ! Peace on earth!
The harmony with the harp towards the piano at the end is particularly beautiful, different to so many other interpretations. Love it.
There is no more excitement in the piece, only paralyzing sadness in all nuances, high and low, the violin is really crying... It is the place she is playing the music?
Words alone cannot describe the talent of producing this rendition of this piece of music.
I have been watching RUclips for years and this is by far the greatest clip I have ever seen ! There's so much emotion in the sound of this music, I cannot think what can top this!
Absolutely fantastic.
Dear Ellen, exceptional talent and impeccable notes. Please never stop making violin videos.
Touches my heart every time. Beautiful interpretation.
Bravissima violinista le tue note mi toccano nel profondo dell’anima ❤❤❤❤❤❤ saluti dall’Italia 🇮🇪
Very beautiful playing on your violin, you're one of the absolute best in your interpretation of this music. Makes me cry every time I hear it.. best of luck to you!! :)
Wunderbar gespielt... großartig! Grüße aus Moskau von Elena...
a noti gde moqna find maybe you know thank you
What is your imaginary while listening this piece ?
Mine : A old cottage , winds flowing , A dark afternoon , storms coming , raining and a man standing with a broken stings of violin . Its all happening but with a saddened silence !
This rendition and your beautiful performance brings me to tears. I will be watching more of your videos and your exquisite playing.
One of the best covers to this I have ever heard. A job very very well done. 👏
Ellen, you played Schindler's List with the Angel's on each side of you!!!! Tears flowing down my eyes.
It sounds like the violin is crying... Together with me ❤️
