My father was a classical violinist and a prisoner of war in the NETHERLANDS..his music was so beautiful..I use to cry listening to him at night when I was 5 yrs old..he never knew how he touched my little heart and how he still does, although he is gone I feel like he is with me and the song of war you both played brought me back to when I was 5..my parents were divorcing and I never got to listen to his most beautiful music again..ilu for how you help heal my heart...

I am Jewish and this week 1000 of my brothers and sisters - grandmas and little girls - were slaughtered just like the Holocaust but this time in Israel. I have been so in shock that I could not even cry - until this video came up - to see your beauty and hear the tragedy of the music at the same time - allowed me to cry a river over all the lost Jews from the Holocaust to this week...pray for us Karolina P.

This song makes me cry. It cries with lives of 6 million people and John Williams made it a memorial to all those who have passed.
It is very sad what happened at that time and my sympathy lies with all the victims of this inhuman madness, depicted in a masterpiece of cinematography. But also the performance of Dir Karolina and Ray Chen is undoubtedly masterful. I really like your performance. Let's also remember at the same time all the fallen victims of the war in Ukraine. Hard to believe those folks are surrounded there listening to this concert free. Two great musicians who could demand a pretty penny to listen to them play. This is the real thing here. I wish they would come to Ohio to play at the Blossom Music Center. I suppose Karolina is still too young to spread her wings so broadly but her day will come. Emotional.

I didn’t know I had Jewish ancestry until I was a teen and neither of my parents were in the Holocaust but I’m sure I lost lots of ancestors there. Aren’t we ONE PEOPLE after all.. I came to Israel to visit a friend as a teen and was amazed how it felt like home, how many people had my curly hair and personality, sense of humor, it was all there, even my crazy chutzpah. Interesting their two postures. Karolina sways with a beautiful gentle rhythm while Ray perfectly postured with as little movement of the shoulders as he can. Of course when she plays more contemporary music it is more pronounced and with dance. I think Karolina's comes from her birthing as a busker and desire to please the public and her own joy of the instrument. Ray was probably trained to the perfect posture. Karolina has made her posture work for her and it may impact on her play but you couldn't tell it by me. I don't think others could perform the way she does unless they were born to it as she was. They are both remarkable performers.

Ray Chen is a top violinist in the world, and this is real performance on the street! Not like the others who play music use pre-recorded music.
