The visuals are not the intersting part of hallucinogens, they are a part of it but the feeling makes the experience what it is

In some ways, this free-flowing kind of AI generation does invoke a certain familiarity to how dreams and thought processes while on hallucinogens operate, but it's more abstract than "seeing" these things. The "visuals" side of hallucinogenics, i.e. seeing the walls melt, seeing the trees undulate, is actually somewhat similar to how the old, swirly things turning into other swirly things AI looks. Not quite, but it is sort of like that. But the perceptual side of hallucinogens, which is where the dimensions melt and you ascend beyond the barriers of spacetime, the third eye stuff, that's not something that can be adequately described on this plane of existence.
I know you were just kidding around, but I do want to just say that trip sitting is a very important position of power to be in where the tripper is in a state of extreme vulnerability, and I cannot understate how cruel it would be to mess with people in that state and guide someone into a challenging experience. If anyone in the group does actually seriously consider taking hallucinogens, it's incredibly important that the people involved and process be respected. It is not like weed.

Dunno if Rob Schneider is a Bojack, but he could sure use a Todd-type.
I'd just call 'doe' and 'dough' homophones/homonyms. I think a double entendre is more along the lines of a euphemism. _pushes glasses up bridge of nose smugly_
When Anisa told liberals to get out I got so mad irl. But then I found out Maximum Damage gaming content is returning soon so I cooled my jets.

I didn't like Invincible at first, but would recommend giving it a full watch.
Season 2 changes the story direction in a way that I'm interested to see season 3 (Season 2 doesn't start off too strong, but develops well).
Similar to Attack on Titan where you think you know what the show is and it morphs into something different enough while still within the same world. It ends up becoming a unique enough show to warrant being made, rather than the generic super hero show that it feels like for a while.
Invincible does a lot of what I wanted The Boys to be, with less sexual gratuity/violence. It's more grounded, I guess.
I am by no means an Invincible Stan or anything, but I do think it is worth watching, particularly if the Idea of The Boys was interesting enough to watch that. (I stopped on the last season of The Boys)

DUDE. OK. On the AI thing. It's always felt like the AI created images are representative of what it feels like to just look at something at a glance and then re-create it in your mind but wirhout the neuance of the facts about the subject matter. Like we don't spend our time counting the fingers in paintings because why would we, we know people have 5 fingers so we spend more time looking at the face etc. To remember more key aspects visually. We can remember all the other stuff with fact recall. It's like we are asking AI to recreate what it just saw but it can't fuckin remember how many fingers there were etc. Looking at those pics always gives this weird sensation that it got it right somehow, like it's visually correct in compasision, even though it has too many fingers.
I don't know if this is just an artist thing as I look at things in this way constantly, and I can't fully convey the concept in my head but I just have such an eary feeling about it. It just feels reminiscent of how our brains interpret visual information, and these videos are even more so like this. Like it's replicating the pattern recognition in our brain somehow, and maybe psychedelics just allows that pattern recognition to be more creative and interpret things incorrectly for fun, hahaha.
God, this is a long comment. I hope it makes sense 😭

My girlfriend and I (we're both 22) tried watching Dazed and Confused after sharing a joint. I knew it was a classic but nothing else really. I was already weirded out after the paddling chase but after the hazing scene for the freshman girls I had to turn it off. I think its fine to portray that stuff in film but it was definately cast in a "those were the good old days" light. And I doubt those girls were well taken care of afterwards.

Hey now, Invincible has an interesting story (in my opinion) 😭
Yes evil Superman isn’t original but from the perspective of his not evil half human son is at least kind of original.
Admittedly the plot itself is kind of secondary to me. But that can be the case with a lot of stories, that the plot is mostly there to serve the characters’ arcs and stories and to create loveable and relatable characters that mean something to the viewer.
I think a lot of the focus on Mark trying to live a normal life mixed with a super one, and being traumatized by his father and dealing with that, and dealing with what it means to be the son of a (ex-)genocidal maniac is interesting to watch from a psychoanalytic perspective and also is a somewhat relatable experience to some on an emotional level.
Lots of people struggle with identity and morality from the lens of what their parents were like, especially kids who have been abused but still have love for their parents.
The psychoanalysis of evil Superman is also interesting because you can see him (so far) begin to overcome his genocidal tendencies because of his love for his son. His plan to take over earth was also kind of doomed from the start, because honestly he treated his son too well until he didn’t. He treated Mark like any other half-human half-superhero boy. He acted like a regular, good superhero dad. Then as soon as Mark gets powers he does a 180 trying to convince him to also become a genocidal maniac, and that doesn’t work, because Mark was raised to be a hero. You can’t show your kid all of that love and be a positive role model and then turn around and say “but actually everyone needs to die.” He doomed his own plan bc he loved his son too much. Sort of a tragedy, or maybe the opposite of a tragedy?
Edit because I have more to add:
I think a lot of the appeal is also that Mark is such an admirable character. He’s young and reckless so he’s the type to run into battles without thinking both because he wants to save people but also because he wants to prove to himself that he’s good. The viewer knows that without a doubt he is good, but he’s in a lot of pain that he isn’t being taught how to deal with, which could cause him at some point to make irrational and destructive decisions. His situation is Guy Who Has Been Through Everything But Still Wants To Be Good, which yeah is kind of an archetype, but I think Mark is easy to feel protective over.
Anyway! I think that show is meaningful! (Not liking gore is totally okay though I get that)

i'm a expert psychonaut and what these ai videos do doesn't even come close to the beautiful things, fractals, geometric forms, inteligent beings and insane things i've seen while tripping on ayahuasca or lsd or any other hallucinogenic substance, when you consume one of these the sensation that you have is that you're looking at how things are made, the sensation is that you're looking at the fabric of reallity itself from behind the curtains, even if it's just you mind playing tricks on you (i personally belive it's not)
you actually see things that somehow make sense and most times even carry a deeper meaning, you're seeing the reflections of what is deep within your own mind, your own psique and you feel connected to everything around you, making you feel like you are part of something much much bigger! and i'm not the only one who felt that way, most people feels like that, lsd or other psychedelics make you feel more empathy, turns you into a kinder version of yourself and the experience can be so life changing that most people say they went through ego death because of it.
this ai shit looks nothing like it, it's more similar to a datura trip, which is a scary and dangerous delirant and it is completely differente from lsd, dmt shrooms or smt like that. oh and that google deep dream thing, deep mind or whatever is something that you can definetelly experience while tripping but mostly at the peak of its effects, tho you could go so much farther than that. anyway somethings are hard to explain with words, but the point is, that AI is not really like it, it can be kinda similar yes but its totally different at the same time. our minds ar so much more powerful than all these computers. oh and some people do tend to sleep while tripping for some reason, not sure why tho, and if ian is interested in making a video about it there's safe ways of doing it and avoiding bad trips.

I also didn't like the newest season of the boys. It felt like the show has become a parody of it's self which sucks because the other seasons were good imo
