I love this. This allows me to podcast with so many people across the world. Absolutely love it. I also love that as I am now starting out I don't have to buy the expensive equipment in order to create a good podcast. I am currently using my android phone earphones with an inline mic and I have buzzsprout as my podcast platform. Im using Audacity as my editing program. I am super excited about this journey.

Hi, interesting video. Just a question.... With Anchor is not possible to get the audio file so i can upload it to other podcast directories ? i assume i goes by default to spotify. Am i wrong ? There are other apps/tools on top of Anchor who can record a podcast in different locations, or Anchor is the only one available ? thx

I decided to start my podcast on Anchor after watching your videos and it was too good to be true. I invited a guest to my episode and I recorded a full episode only to find later that the whole audio was overlapping and i had audio delays. Appreciate if you can share tips on that
Lara Ajouz ah, how frustrating. It definitely isn’t a perfect technology. Anchor recommends: both parties being connected to good WiFi, closing out of any other apps, and wearing headphones.
We're doing a podcast about our astonishing gorgeous village of Ojai, California called "Ojai: Talk of the Town" which includes interviews with local leaders, artists and friends. It's all thanks to you (and the pandemic). We publish Ojai's two city magazines and the podcast made a natural extension for our amazing content. The host of the remote recording has to be using the APP on the phone. The guests can open the invite from their browser, but unfortunately, as of right now it doesn't seem you can set up a remote record from your browser on a desktop 😞
Thanks for this video! My friend and I were able to start a podcast with this information! However, I do have a question that you (or others) may be able to help with...unfortunately, Anchor does not have this option for recording on my *laptop* , and the microphone I bought specifically for podcasting on my laptop does not connect to my phone (it's a usb mic, and I have tried an adapter), so my audio is not as clear as my friend's audio (who has apple headphones). Do you know of any other good way/app that will allow me to record audio only, on my laptop with my friend and I? Or do you know of a quality, podcasting headset (with a mic), that could better my sound quality...something around $30 or less for a beginner? Thanks for any help!

I have been using an ATR 2100 microphone with anchor on my iPhone when I record solo. When I Invite a friend my microphone becomes disabled and Anchor only allows me to use the app in speaker phone. Is there anything I can do?
E. Jordan Mackie it would work, yes. BUT! In that case it would be better to just record on your phones separately using voice memos or another app - but then you’ll quickly find yourself using a computer to combine them together. The remote feature with anchor doesn’t produce the best quality sound. And with two phones in the same room you’d have all sorts of echo problems, so you’d at least want to be in different rooms.
@@psscreativemedia I have a Blue Snowball that works perfectly for me. I spent money on it. I want to use it while talking to my co-host! Not just for solo projects. Also, since I have your ear.. Has Anchor been distributing weird for you? I just uploaded a podcast and not only are the segments out of order when distributed to other sites, they are unedited. And right now Anchor has very few agents so I am unsure when I will get an answer.
Can we add music of other artists? Let's say.. I'd like to play a series of well known artists and have a show around that... Eg a music podcast and I speak here and there.. does ANCHOR allow that?
When you login to your anchor, on the top you'll notice a button that says "NEW EPISODE" click that and you'll get all the options that you get on the APP. Record, messages, library, transitions.
Hi. I know. Anchor doesn't pay in countries outside the US right now. Even in the US though, you don't start making any money until you start getting over 1000 downloads per episode, which isn't very easy to do. If you can manage to get a few thousand downloads per episode, you would be able to monetize with pretty much any host. There are other ways to make money too. You can do both. You can import any audio you have on your phone into your Anchor LIBRARY

i tried to do this wt a friend and when i did it, it cut the episode off while we were recording

Go with royalty free music. You don't want to deal with copyright issues if your podcast trends.

For desktop you can use Riverside.fm or SquadCast. These are remote recording solutions specific to podcasters.
