Hey James ☕️☕️ I enjoy this kind of stuff you can watch fishing videos all day. And that’s ok, but for me I would want to listen to someone good like yourself and a few others talk. It’s like being with a friend or a mentor. I just have my coffee listen and laugh. So glad you are out here, I think a lot of ya thanks for all you do. Stay safe but adventurous ☕️☕️
Great video. Another term I've heard/used for a flat would be a dry fly slick.since the water is relatively low, calm, and featureless it's pretty common to find fish sipping on drys especially after spinner falls like a trico hatch. Again great video, keep up the good work.
Hey James, cool vid as always. I have a question off topic. Yesterday I was on the Juan, fishing off my boat with a friend when a guide, fish head I think, came by and told me " these are required," pointing to what looked like a small box on his pfd belt, or wader belt, I couldnt tell which. I dont know if he thought I am guide, or just trying to be helpful, or what, but he kept going dowstream and I didnt think to ask him as he floated by what the hell he was talking about. I guess I was put off by this guy acting and sounding so authorative or whatever, but Im still curious what he was talking about, maybe some real and should be aware of. Any ideas?
@AboutTrout thanks for responding, but my point is we both had pdfs on and he still said what he said. I guess he didnt see them or something. Thanks again.
Can also be used for people who fish boat ramps and get pissed when your either putting in with your boat or tacking out and you have to remind them it’s a boat ramp when they’re giving you the stink eye because your disturbing there fishing .

I need to include “slick” in the next one! Also due to popular demand “glide” will be covered
Seam of the water, where a faster current meets slower current and it forms a seam, sometimes associated with a line of foam/bubbles
Is this a glide you speak of?
I will add glide to the next one. It’s a section of a tail out. A very niche piece of water

Yes. The guide was mostly likely trying to save you a $200 ticket. PFDs are required when floating in the state park.

No worries. They most likely didn’t see yours
I’m a stick that’s what everybody calls me thanks about trout not only a stick I’m a sick stick
Is there a meaning for...."That Guy"?
Haha always try to keep it positive here.
Fish whistle? 😂

You have to be a dink before you can become a big trout. Yes, give drinks plenty of love so they can become big.
Yes! The power of love is a trout growth multiplier.
Steelhead guides say dinks are a “future business partner”
I give drinks plenty of love on the river too. (I'm an alcoholic)
@@Cold_whispers that’s awesome!
“Congruent bottom topography” okay there Mr. Fart Smeller, I mean, Smart Feller
Que comico
Bankies: pejorative term for wade fishers
Frog water: well, water where frogs live
I gotta include frog water! I use that one a lot
What about an Elon muskrat
Michael bublés
You forgot bank maggot…a wading fisherman that gets in the way of a guided drift trip.
