🌟🎣💫
Dude nice tie, I totally tapped that. Can you sing a short song about your love for Gulff resin in your next video? 🤪
Time will tell!
Really well done fly. I do a similar olive perdigon using krystal flash as the body which is also very productive.
Nice fly! I grew up fishing the Juan and it's cool to see new ideas and techniques being used on the river. You really got me wanting to try my hand at contact nymphing up there. Keep em coming!
Awesome! Thank you!
You are the man, thanks😉
This is a go to for me I nicknamed it the moneymaker for how productive it is
Wish I knew who made this one so I can credit them. This is a workhorse for sure.
Thanks James, appreciate you and the info. Will put some of these in the box. See ya on the water.
Looking forward to it.
Wonderful tutorial! Thanks much!🎏
Glad it helped! Thanks for checking it out.
That is money 💵💵!
I’ve never tied a fly … but I’d watch these videos all day long. Keep them coming!
Glad you like them!
Hey James! I love that pattern. I have problems with uv resin darkening the body significantly. I’m using Solarez and loon. Any tips on retaining its color?
I’m not sure. I haven’t had that happen with bone dry.
I'm quite sure a size 16 or 18 would be great. Thank you. Just curious though did you mean to say size 18 as is shown in the materials list.
I meant to say 18. FM hooks in this model run a tad big
@@AboutTrout Thank you. I've been using Hanak hooks, then I started using FullingMill hooks. I measured and found that besides the bigger hook gap of the FullingMill 5125, the only difference between the Hanak H450BL and FM5125 is the hook length. So, a Hanak H450BL #14 is essentially equal to a FullingMill FM5125 #16 (besides the hook gap).
Jah approves. Can this be tied in red, white and blue so the trout know I listen to Dead on the way to the river?
Yes 😂
Isn’t the Tungsten make fly heavy? Do you fish it point?
It depends is the short answer. Without writing an essay if it’s on the Juan I like this as my dropper then an unweighted midge on point.
What vice and tools do you recommend?
While I do love renzentti. Get the vise that fits your budget and spend money on good bobbins and scissors. I really like the loon ergo all purpose and their scissors. Once you’ve tied for awhile you’ll know what you really want/need out of a vise.
@AboutTrout thanks Chas keep it up
You said this is a box filler. I tied one and it took up the same amount of space as a normal fly. If that’s the case for everyone, why do you call a box filler?
You need to tie on a 12/0 to get maximum volume
2.8 mm bead on a Euro nypmh. Got it. If I tie an American nymph, do I need to use imperial sized beads?
🇺🇸 🦅 rahhhhhhh wtf is a kilometer
