Awesome video. I love both Vaccums..I just wish the Proscenic had a better auto empty and a dirty bin sensor. The app functionality could be better. I'm partnering with proscenic to help them improve their app.
The roomba’s suction is 17 CFM on its one power setting, but overall well done! I love the i7 and just roomba in general, if I ever do get one I’ll probably try to find a used one. And I’m really excited for the robot vacuum pallets!!!! I’ll stay tuned for that!! :)
I disagree that the fair comparison is with the Proscenic on low suction. The FAIR comparison would be comparing the BEST settings for each robot and see which one works the best. To artificially reduce the M7 to be EQUAL with the I7 is almost a self-fulfilling prophesy. Did you limit the I7 with only two passes? All things being equal is best vs best. Love to see a redo with the Proscenic at its best suction. Thanks
I prefer the RoboRock S5 or one of the NEATO’s D5-7 over any of the robots on the market. They both clean great, better than the other brands and I do not mind changing the dustbin.
The i7 I believe has 17cfm on carpet and 7 cfm on floors, but they may have updated it to where it’s 17cfm all around but i7 wins ten fold with its programming, and its self empty system.
How does the i7 (or i7+, pretty sure they are the same robot, one just comes with the auto dirt disposal dock) handle pet hair? I have a dog that sheds quite a bit, and I want a robot I can run daily, or every other day, to keep the floors clean. But don't want it to get clogged up with the hair.
So let me get this straight... 1. You threw dirt and debris down and instead of weighing the debris before and after the cleaning you just used your eyeballs. 2. Allowed the Roomba to use its auto max mode on the carpet plus its dirt sensors for multiple passes and uses camera navigation (it will inherently navigate better in unmapped areas) but then use the Proscenic without even having the area mapped first (LiDAR navigates better after it has done its first pass and mapped everything *Think about how Waymo requires HD mapping and limited to areas that are mapped compared to Tesla with is camera navigation*) or without even using its 3rd or 4th most powerful suction setting. Seems legit to me 👍🏻.
I like proscenic because it does as good as a job except for the corners, but who would expect robots to do a perfect job. Proscenic also come with mopping function, and even provide self-empty dust bin for extra 99 dollars. I am happy without the self-empty dust bin, but with a 500 price tag and possibility to upgrade, I think it is a budget alternative of i robot. the other things I will consider are the app functionality, battery life, and after sale service.
it would be nice if they can update the software for the bin on the 7+. For instance make it where you can pick the time when the bin will be emptied. So if I have it clean at 5 AM it just docks after it's done and that's it and at 10 or 11 the bin comes on so it don't wake up someone.
I've had it for over a year and they keep coming out with new features/ updates. At first my issue was the replacement bags but with 2 cats, one long hair, and cat litter on the main floor, I'm finding that I don't even need to replace every month. I don't even know how often I replace it to be honest. And you can buy knock off cheaper bags on Amazon. *yay* Also it gets stuck in certain areas so I put a no go area on my map. :) Overall happy customer
just got my m7 pro last week. do you know when the automatic dust bin will be available? do you think they are trying to improve it? also have them slow down the brushes a tad so it doesnt flick stuff around as much. thx
Is the m7 worth even though it's horrible at self-emptying or should I just spend the extra money and get the i7 plus I really like the m7 but if it can't empty itself properly that's a huge downside

Is that still happening?

The i7 is definitely an awesome product.
Those lines after it cleans are so satisfying too.
Yeah
Yasss I know right!
I think I might go for The Proscenic.
You know I love my i7 I have not found one to replace it!
Roomba has an auto mode it intelligently decides how many passes it needs compared to the room size and dirt detect.

IMO manually telling the M7 to do two passes evens it out.
You should show the brush roles to see how much hair is tangled around them. Also how well they empty after the challenge
You should do a climbing text for all robots to see which does well climbing onto area rugs and how high rugs they can handle
Agree with this - have you found any reviews of this?

I 7 for sure, the software is a true winner.
Totally agree!

sounds like you watched the video! Lidar actually works much better than the camera systems on the first run.

I really don't get the whole vacuum while you sleep thing but I'm a light sleeper.
Just ordered the i7+ so it looks like it was a good investment.

They are reportedly working on a better design
I think I will stick with my I plus, I have no carpet, and it does a superb job
People like to say I was like I was just like you like me I just don’t like

What time of the year (during a normal year) does iRobot announce new models?
I don’t know but look on the iRobot website
I would save 300 and get the s5 max! I would love to send u a video of that thing!
Cool video!
The proscenic grooms the carpet

Hi, can i add a drop of castile soap to the water container?
