very good tutorial, but it is difficult to see your drawing since it is a lot of light on your paper. The drawing appears like vanishing.

Do you have any advice to stop your back/neck hurting from drawing? I want to practise all day but I just cant because of it.
Squarey hi there, I suffer from chronic back pain, which also affects my neck, I have osteoarthritis.
This was a problem whilst sitting drawing and on flat table. So I bought myself a table top easel. it's a Daler Rowny workstation.
it's an A3 which you can turn it around with like a ball & socket type range. And what a difference: )
because you can move around most angles it's easier on the neck especially.
when my back pain flares up which is quite often, I can't always sit at the table even.
So I need to sit on my sofa, on pillow for my back and heat pad. but again this plays havoc with my neck, I saw a mention somewhere about sketching boards which you can buy with variations, some cost a bit, I just simply bought 3 A4 boards from EBay, just plain wood as some sketch boards are more elaborate with measure rulers etc so shop around for your preferences.
The A4 boards where ideal for what I wanted, you can hold it against your knee or whatever feels right for you. Just have a small or medium tables by your side. 😊
Hope this helps you, all the best for pain free artwork. I'll be never pain free because of an arthritic spine but with easel and sketch board's these have helped me a lot. t.c 😊

use some lavander, pepperment, and or chamomile essential oil. These are pain relief oils. Research it a bit. Organic essential oil if you can. It's better for the body. Pain will be gone soon!
Squarey don't do the back bend and support your shoulder blades?
I get a stiff neck also. But my main problem is wrist pain on the outside of my wrist. Any suggestions?
