Guys as someone who makes jewellery I’m gonna be honest you could do all of this way cheaper if you can actually make it you can cast the gold yourself and set the diamonds although this take a lot more practice and a higher start up price it will be way more cost and time efficient in the long run

Great video, I like how it gets right to the point. Might be good to add in the total time you spent making it (going to all the casters, polishers, driving, etc)... And also how long it took to sell, and the fees paid if you sold it on eBay or used Paypal, I know eBay and PayPal take like 13-14% combined... And the cost of shipping it, if you do free shipping, shipping insurance, packing supplies (if you have to buy a ring box, or just ship in a zip lock bag). And also rough guess on fuel/uber/bus/subway ride costs if you used any of those... That would give a more accurate idea of what you make off each piece, how much time was spent getting it made, and how long the money is tied up.
Obviously those cost would go down some if you're doing multiple pieces at a time but for someone just starting out that can't afford to, they would get a better idea of the approximate actual cost of doing 1 piece. Just an idea to improve the videos a bit.
Otherwise I enjoy the videos, and always give them a like and I'm a subscriber. Thanks for the great videos!

You can always get your own casting machine and make it yourself I just don't recommend it on my videos because you have to be careful doing this

at 4:30 you say we should pay 1.50 over spot price but the website gold calc is giving the price for scrap gold per gram not actual spot price per gram. Which is the price the caster should be using? its about a $25 dollar difference The casters i have talked to seem to be using the actual spot price per gram which at the time of writing this is about $58.

Can someone help me understand, how many grams you will need to do this piece. the resin he used was the powerresin Burn with a density of 1.1g/ml the slicer app said the piece should have a mass of 3 grams. 3g/1.1g/ml=2.72ml or 2.72cm^3, now 2.72ml * 14g/ml= 38.18g of 10K gold(with 14g/ml being a about weight of 10 k gold) . Yet he only had to by 16.69g of 10K gold. Am I calculating something wrong or is there something I don't understand? Cause its making me indecisive.

This is for like small jewelers big jewelers have their factory and everything built up
welll... i call myself a jeweler and i do the following:
design and 3d design, 3d printing, crafting jewelry by hand, molding, i do my own castings, stone setting, hand engraving, polishing... pretty much everything so i guess that is what a jeweler does... now when you commission other jewelers to do your pieces from your own design you would be called a jewelry designer. When you also buy the designs... i guess that would make "you" a seller at most... so this tutorial is not about how to make jewelry... but how to order jewelry from real jewelers...

Cool idea but its cheap and not really handmade there were so many people involved in the process you most likely lost some weight in gold, handmade jewellery is worth 3 times the price, technically i didn't see u make anything but the mould. for a professional jeweller this would have cost half and sold for 2 k easy
hey bro, im not sure what you mean by its cheap but handmade jewelry is not worth any ore than this. no jewelry is really hand made anymore, technology changed how its made. also keep in mind no matter who made this piece it would be impossible to cost half to make it because the majority of the cost is in the raw gold, the labor is cheap
@@SlavaTVOfficial My g ,The fact is Jewellers get paid for the amount of work they do because their professional's who have spent years learning, also based off the numbers in your video labour wasn't so cheap . Maybe this is just how it is in the US, but in the rest of the world jewellery made completely by hand is worth a lot more than unoriginal mass produced shit , keep in mind the gold you got may have been mixed with a number of alloys without your knowledge, could even be hollow. have a research of mass produced vs handmade jewellery. Idk man i respect the grind just maybe take a course in jewellery

He went more in depth with that in his longer video. But basically jewelery sells for 100% or higher depending on types of diamonds/precious metals used. He went with 100% for this ring because he used a lower carat of gold and didn't use expensive diamonds.

hey you odnt need the chitubox app if you dot plan to print at home (although you can download it for free) you just need an stl file to give to the printer

hey brother can you please make a video on how to make cuban link chain by hand? i know that you have made a video already but its using the casting method. the real problem i face is i dont understand the ratio of the thickness of the wire and the mandrel thickness and how to the length of the chain is impacted by the weight. please if you can make it possible it would be great.
