I’ve never thought of or wanted to pursue a jewelry designing, manufacture or selling business, but I can recognize when someone is helping people realize there’s nothing holding them back from doing any and everything except a lack of trying and the knowledge to do it. You are a legend for providing this much helpful information! I have a foundation to start from if I decide to pursue this. For example, I never knew that factories were right above the retail section of jewelry stores in the jewelry district. You broke down the technicalities of gold, for example, really well. Thanks a bunch!
I went into this video with little expectations thinking it was one of those stupid "get rich quick" videos but damn, this is everything a person could want. I sent this to my brother because he's very interested in jewellery and has been making quite a profit just plain-old reselling jewellery he buys from ebay. I'm not even interested in starting a jewellery business but this video kept my attention.

Extremely informative bro, I appreciate in depth breakdown of everything. I’m currently in the process of learning the steps of manufacturing my own jewelry, but the older established guys and middlemen are so hush hush about the business; especially in NY and Philly. They’d rather charge you BS numbers for “labor” or simply reject your project if you know what you’re talking about; because they have to do everything “in house” lol
Wow !! I always admired entrepreneurship and wanted to start my own business, this just gave me an idea of what can be my calling! Thank you for this video
One thing I can contribute: at least in my area, rhodium has almost quadrupled in price over the last year, so try not to lash out at a jeweler if the rhodium plating seems higher than it used to be.
The prices he mentioned arent too realistic, so far i have contacted over 50 jewelers and nobody had 1$ per stone.. but it can differ when you hit a local district and find the right spot!
I really appreciate this video, I’ve been trying myself to learn all of this talking with jewelry store owners, but none of them wold tell me how to start, God bless you!

I’m excited to start up my business and reap the rewards doing something I love! Thanks man for real!
Online Empires I do have a question though. I live in Nebraska and I don’t have any jewelry districts near me. I personally know a master goldsmith I can have do the finishing, but I don’t know where to go for the casting or diamond setting (when I start doing those pieces). What do you recommend?
16:56 - A casting company I found wants $9/piece + $10/gram over metal cost. $315 becomes $409. 22:10 - I found $3 per diamond to set. That adds $624 to your total. Then, the casting fee is $174.75 more than you give. The piece would be $2,087. These prices make non-gold jewelry prohibitively expensive. It looks like my state has no jewelry district. All the jewelers I have been to mailed out all jewelry for repair or modification and shipped in all jewelry.
Great video! Very informative with every step. When school starts for my sophomore year in high school I’m gonna take a welding and marketing class so I can skip a few of the steps. One day you’ll hear rappers and celebrities shouting me out 💯

I use solidworks design program and through out my job history I have design some of the most complex surface's. I want to focus on ear rings. The way I make my jewelry is just by hand artistically but that's the style I go with I want to learn more styles so this video is quite entertaining thank you I'm probably going to watch it several times

Tbh I’m surprised at how transparent you were about the details of where ppl. can get their molds done, prices on getting stones set and where to buy the parcels! Thanks for this video man. I have the 3D modeling skills and I've been wanting to turn my garage into a 3D printing jewelry business, as well as picking up the big cap ex equipment's to do so, but your detailed video mentioned a lot of options and less labor intensive method to start the business. So what would be the total cost to make a Cuban Chain? I’m paying one off that’s 61g of 18K yellow gold. $3,600 when gold was around $1,800. This is a great video.

Hey @CB, what's the biggest challenges you faced at the start of your jewelry business? Ans what is the best thing about running your own jewelry business?
@@no.name.huncho215 manufacturing comes with its own set of challenges. In the time I left that comment, I’ve started studying metal smithing to make everything myself. If you don’t care about the ethics/creative control of design and just want to focus on money, manufacturing will be a lot easier. I want complete creative control tho. Also managing the backend/legal part of it. Make sure that’s solid. The creative part is the most rewarding part for me. Creatively and conceptually the possibilities are endless. For example, I never knew that factories were right above the retail section of jewelry stores in the jewelry district. You broke down the technicalities of gold, for example, really well. Thanks a bunch!
This was really informative. Even people outside the industry can appreciate this video.
May God bless you for making this video. I have questions for you, how may I contact you?

I went into this video with little expectations thinking it was one of those stupid "get rich quick" videos but damn, this is everything a person could want. I sent this to my brother because he's very interested in jewellery and has been making quite a profit just plain-old reselling jewellery he buys from ebay. I'm not even interested in starting a jewellery business but this video kept my attention.
Thank you so much! If your brother needs any help tell him he can reach out anytime
Am 26 years old and I’ve always wanted to start a jewelry line for 6 years now did not even know where to start until now... thank you for this video now I had somewhat of an idea of where to start and the type of budget I need to work with... deff my biggest blessing coming across this video... Thank you again 👌🏾
Thank you! feel free to reach out if you need help with anything

30+ mins of value. I really appreciate it. I realize it takes time, research, and effort to put out quality content live this... I'm commenting just to help the youtube algorithm. I will also like and suscribe. It's too late for this video, but I won't skip ads when watching the next video. If you continue to take time to give us quality content, I'll sacrifice a few seconds to sit through ads.
Thx Charles, I appreciate that!
Oh trust me me im aware of that. don't let that discourage you. keep searching till you find normal people to deal with. took me some time too
@@SlavaTVOfficial Do you think this is possible in a smaller city like Vancouver , CA? Probably not so many people to chose from
Wow !! I always admired entrepreneurship and wanted to start my own business, this just gave me an idea of what can be my calling! Thank you for this video

Hi Yishan, thank you for watching and I appreciate you. Best of luck to you!
Why is this the best tutorial video to ever exist. You’re the goat man.
I'm so glad you're getting hella views. Good job dude and thank you for the info!
One thing I can contribute: at least in my area, rhodium has almost quadrupled in price over the last year, so try not to lash out at a jeweler if the rhodium plating seems higher than it used to be.
The prices he mentioned arent too realistic, so far i have contacted over 50 jewelers and nobody had 1$ per stone.. but it can differ when you hit a local district and find the right spot!
it's unbelievable how perfect this video is man! thank you so much!
Thank you!
I really appreciate this video, I’ve been trying myself to learn all of this talking with jewelry store owners, but none of them wold tell me how to start, God bless you!
Straight up g, dude is straight to the point and wastes no time. He even went as far as showing you the small things like fiver and how the Jewelry machines work. Definitely subscribing to this guy‼️🗣

@@dantebrown3081 Fast forward, 1yr. How's it going?
So did you actually start a jewelry business after watching this video? If so, how’s it going?
did you start your business ?
16:56 - A casting company I found wants $9/piece + $10/gram over metal cost.
$315 becomes $409.
22:10 - I found $3 per diamond to set. That adds $624 to your total. Then, the casting fee is $174.75 more than you give. The piece would be $2,087. These prices make non-gold jewelry prohibitively expensive.
It looks like my state has no jewelry district. All the jewelers I have been to mailed out all jewelry for repair or modification and shipped in all jewelry.
Best video so much honesty and information and no bs. Much appreciated and subscribed to support!
Thank you Yishan!
Great video helped alot, Thank You sir wish you and your viewers well in all their endeavors

I remember about a year ago I watched this video now I’m a jeweler I Have my own team of designers, I cast myself, Diamond set myself, polish myself thank you for the motivation. Now I’m at a point where I can’t get clientele do you have any recommendations?????
What’s your Instagram I have a lot of questions
Where we can buy your stuff, Danny?
Brother! You did that over 10 years experience this was precise as can be. Wow you deserve the accolades!
I am a retired mechanical engineer and I'm thinking of getting into the jewelry design biz. I use solidworks design program and through out my job history I have design some of the most complex surface's. I want to focus on ear rings. I have created 5 pieces that are really unique in surface complexion. So I want to be that guy that people go to buy my design. In my opinion I think one of my designs could fetch 5 to 10K after finished product. Wish me luck 💲💰💸
awesome!
The way I make my jewelry is just by hand artistically but that's the style I go with I want to learn more styles so this video is quite entertaining thank you I'm probably going to watch it several times
thats awesome bro, definitely take it online and grow from there. you can scale your business huge if you put your products on multiple platforms
What an amazing and informative video! Thank you so much for sharing.
Absolutely a great video! Not only was it informative but it was accurate info!! Tbh I’m surprised at how transparent you were about the details of where ppl. can get their molds done, prices on getting stones set and where to buy the parcels! It’s very rare to find / hear someone in the business lay out the ‘tricks of the trade’ on video. Great stuff and your honesty is appreciated
Thank you!!

Thanks for this video man. I have the 3D modeling skills and I've been wanting to turn my garage into a 3D printing jewelry business, as well as picking up the big cap ex equipment's to do so, but your detailed video mentioned a lot of options and less labor intensive method to start the business. Saved me lots of money from doing everything myself by hand

Have so many questions on using eBay/selling online - how do you avoid scammers/frauds? What about returns?
You know what I cant thankyou enough. God bless you. My family both mother and father side are into gold jewelry business. I wanted to pursue it too, but no one would actually guide me with the basics except whatever I learned on my own. Your video has kind of answered so many questions I had and made things more clear. Thankyou so much for sharing this knowledge with the people.
Hey how’s it going friend. I’m getting into the fully customizable jewelry business & I’d like to reach out & possibly work together
The most in depth video I’ve seen yet.
So what would be the total cost to make a Cuban Chain? I’m paying one off that’s 61g of 18K yellow gold. $3,600 when gold was around $1,800. This is a great video.
1 gram would be 43.50. so with casting it would be $45. 45 x 61 grams = 2,745. add $50 to polish / labor. around 2800
This was so helpful to know. I recently started my own jewelry business, but I want to begin designing my own pieces. Do you have any advice for doing this during covid? If possible, I would love to talk to you individually to get some advice and insight. Thank you so much!

It’s been a long process tho
This video is amazing, no filler, pure practical information and guidance, thanks man 🙏🙏
