What makes this a perfect movie is that neither the humans or the apes are the “bad guys”. They all have justifiable reasons to hate the other side, but there is more that connects them than separates them.
No, I would say Koba is an asshole…I get what he’s been through but what he’s done in this movie is unforgivable, even Turing on his own and killing his own, despite the reasons, Koba turned into a villain
@@xxchevcheliosxxable I agree. Even Ceaser at the very end said Koba isn't an ape anymore at that point he's a monster
@@DarksideGmss0513 he killed ash, rocket’s kid, just tossed him over a railing, then shot at many other apes and sent most to their deaths, he started the war, Koba was very much a villain
@@xxchevcheliosxxable absolutely, Koba is truly a monster. But before the humans came back he was a brother to Cesar. There’s some great deleted scenes where he treats Koba as an equal and gives him most of the praise for the hunt.
@@thedarkknight2221 I’ve seen them, there’s definitely a mutual respect there between the two before the humans come back into play, and even then, Koba respects ceaser to an extent while dealing with them, but in the end his hate wins, and he starts a war
If this girl is losing it like this over Caesar revisiting his childhood room and seeing a video of him and his father then they might need an EMT on standby for the next film.
I swear!
Facts she's gonna lose it in the next film.
I have seen some other reactions with Kristen in it, and I feel like she misinterprets cues a lot of times and sometimes overreacts too.
@@anushreedas1440 It's okay. We all cry at movies. She's an extrovert, that's the way extroverts react mostly. Not defending her but let her enjoy. If she won't react like this you won't be here watching it. Trust me.
Does anyone know how old she is? She seems YOUNG but i her the feeling she's older but she acts soooooooo YOUNG
No one talking about how he LITERALLYA scared her hiccups away?😂😂 that was amazing
Yeah, that was fun.
Koba is a villain because he destroyed any chance of peace because of his own selfish reasons. He went against their own Ape laws, He tried to kill Caesar, and killed many apes in the process.
Kobe: a city in Japan and a recently deceased basketball player.
Koba: neither of the above but also recently deceased.
LOL
That scene with Koba and the 2 humans is such an amazing thing to watch, he plays them MASTERFULLY but the minute he pulls that trigger on the first guy everything drops. He’s not longer contorting his face in “O”s and smiling like he can’t hold onto a thought, his body stops swaying and he instantly gets better posture and balance, and ofc he stops tossing the gun and holds it perfectly steady. It’s so cool how quickly he goes from “cute dumb animal” to “merciless, vicious, calcuated warlord”
What a dynamic duo!! 😂😂😂 She cries her heart out and he laughs his ass off. 🤣🤣🤣
She's going to break down on the next one.
@@mstorrboy I'm afraid so.
I love them 😂😭😭
@@mstorrboyyea I was just thinking about the same thing
Me being 100% honest here. I really enjoyed them as well. However, in the first ten minutes Kristen yelled at Michael to "chill" and that made me get a tad annoyed. Kristen gets animated when she reacts but Michael has to "chill" if he does. That rubbed me the wrong way, not gonna lie. With this being said, she didn't again the rest of the reaction. So, I am hoping it was a "one-off," because like I said...I really enjoyed them with one another as well from that point on.
Even though he plays a chimp, Andy Serkis is the GOAT!
Planet of the goats 😂
A very different movie
He is the GOAT BECAUSE he can play a chimp. Takes a lot of skill.
Wait!!! There's a goat in this movie!!!😂😂
Koba is one of the best villains ever! Despite his nefarious intentions, you can't help but sympathize with him. Very few villains are so well written.
Speak for yourself. Koba went too far.
He's Killmonger. Except here he wins, and despite dying, gets his war in which his people go on to conquer the outside world and enslave their former masters.
@@dwnkaomwn3953 Sympathizing doesn't mean you condone their actions.
@@sproductionsinc Well, my sympathy for Koba died when he tried to kill Caesar and attacked those people who had nothing to do with his suffering. Thanks to Koba, the apes and humans are now at war.
Lol no, understand what led him on this path, yes. Sympathize with him, no.
Of course, Koba throws an Ape about 15 meters into the depths and it dies. But if Koba falls 100 meters, he survive? The chain in the case just made sure he didn't land on his feet. It whirled him around again and on top of that, he fell onto a steel scaffolding, which in turn was hit by an object and collapsed. From there it goes another 75 meters into the depth. I think everyone in the cinema was very sure at the time that Koba didn't survive that. That would be ridiculous. 🤣
Are y'all trolling? It's KOBA.. Ko-BAH...
Exactly my thoughts! 🤦🏽♀️😅...i wasn't sure if they were kidding or literally forgot his name that quickly!!
It’s Koba…..koBA not koBE lol
THANK U its been pissing me tf off for 15 mins
Glad I wasn't the only one lmao it was annoying the hell out of me every time they said it
It’s only said out loud and spelled out in the captions several times, how could they possibly pronounce such a tricky name?!? /s
😂😂😂 hey at least they corrected themselves
Driving me crazy! He’s not Japanese beef nor an NBA legend! It’s fucking KobA!!!!
The issue with Koba started when Ceasar decided to not kill Jacobs himself , but used Koba for revenge. Koba from then on internalized that he will always do the dirty work for apes .
Edit: you can disagree with my view. But it’s already been two days and I’m over this convo. I think I have said everything I had to say except that you are wrong and I am right 😁. This convo is muted . lol
You can’t justify Koba with that, he had it out for Jacobs long before that, during all the testing, he even wrote Jacobs name on the chalk board, letting him know he has it out for him, Kobas issue started long before Caesar came into play
@@xxchevcheliosxxable if Koba went after Jacob’s on his own it would be different . But Ceasar literally gave him the nod and affirmed a behavior that Ceasar in general wasn’t promoting till Buck died. Then he almost killed Will . Until Ceasar told him Will was fine. Koba is wrong in what he does BUT his behavior was affirmed in that moment. Ceasar should had killed Jacob’s. Koba had issues but issues can get worse if you affirm bad behavior or if you don’t guide them to a better path. But Koba is literally the dirty laundry crew for Ceasar
@@Kyubii01 looking back on that, and rewatching that scene, you’re right, Koba had it out for Jacob’s but Caesar did give him the go ahead which gave Koba the impression of what he was doing was ok
@@xxchevcheliosxxable this is an extreme example but remember that serial killers don’t starts big they start small, with animals , but if a man gave you the go ahead for a good reason to kill a person , you might not be able to stop especially if like Ceasar he didn’t see the darkness growing , he didn’t show signs , he was loyal, and pro apes. And then humans showed up and he remember the programming “Ceasar let me kill Jacob’s so he let me kill more ? Wait Ceasar had human friend, so where is Koba in this relationship”
@@xxchevcheliosxxableNo, they mean Koba's issues with Caeser started before Dawn. Nothing to do with Jacobs.
I'm afraid Kristen will never be the same by the time this trilogy is over and may never want to react to movies again.
Is it driving anyone else crazy the the keep calling Koba-kobai instead of Koba- ko-bah?
Koba = definitely not Ko-bae 😬#NotBae #NotEvenHomies
The only scene makes me cry ,when blue eyes meets Ceaser where he tells that koba killed ash .😢😢😢
Everytime ❤!!
koba man, i realy couldnt hate him. his hate towards human was understandable. a very well written villain
Really? Do you give people that same understanding? I'm just curious?
Matt Reeves just might be a top 15 Director of all time
These movies and The Batman were really well done. Definitely up there if he continues to be consistent
What I love about this trilogy is that every single character is fleshed out properly and their words and decisions influence the story. Every script writer should write down notes while watching this.
KOBA: APE NOT KILL APE CAESAR: YOU ARE NOT APE
When I heard Koba say that, I was like "You should have thought of that earlier"
Kristen never screams and has this much sympathy when there is all human characters.
Nope she doesnt.
It was so many dominos that fell. They had a 3 day deadline that we can only assume malcom only knew and didnt tell anybody. (Also we never see/no mention of anyone returning and coming back saying hey we're good.) So the humans would've attacked the apes regardless but they got the power working if they didnt the 3rd day would've hit. Rockets son getting shot. Koba following, finding them testing the weapons was alright but he investigated further and found they had an arsenal. Koba saying hey you freed me id do anything you'd ask but we need to show strength, and they did but then caesar slowly but definitely giving the humans more and more free reign. When to koba it was caesar choosing humans over the apes. Even maurice getting inbetween koba and the kid and then caesar beating up koba cemented in his mind that he needed to do what he had to. Would've been a different convo if koba said hey they got guns vs hey they gearing up for war they loading up and are gonna come for us (which technically they wete supposed to bc the 3 day deadline) and if he said something infront of the humans, what would malcolm have said would he have told them about the 3 day deadline and risk being unalived or play he didnt know anything and just hope they finished and caesar didnt believe koba.
Knowing how logical ceaser thinks he wouldve just helped them meet the deadline. Ceaser knew they had more power he knew apes didnt have guns.. he wouldve continued to make peace until the humans attacked first.
Ironically when yall said koba might coming back, he's alive. What he fell on, when it broke it shifted and trapped him, and made it look like bars so koba ended up being trapped in a cage" as he fell to his death.
14:56 him and Koba are the exact same character on different sides
44:15 No no, you can say villain. Regardless of how Koba became the way he did, he was selfish and cared for no one but himself and the destruction of humans. He would kill all the apes if it meant killing all the humans too
Thank you for this. 👏🏾 👏🏾 👏🏾 👏🏾 👏🏾 👏🏾 👏🏾 These people are ridiculous
Koba is THE villian of the movie. I really like Koba. I can completely emphasize with him. I totally get why he is the way he is. I understand his anger and fear in the beginning, that slowly get replace with hatred and violence. He lost me after this murder atempt. Everything after that point is not forgivable imho.
Koba is such a good villain
He really is! People are trying to justify it saying neither side is bad, but that ain’t the truth, yes, Koba was wronged, but that turned him into a villain, his acts aren’t justified
🦍Apes Together Strong🦍
You know as bad as he was it's a bit sad how Koba died, falls to his death in a steel cage made by the humans he hated so much. Poetic almost 💀
Yep. Every part of this series is fantastic and every part is authentically heartbreaking. I didn't see this and third myself until 2021. These are all such impressive pieces of cinema.
Bro...he fell several stories to his death. He's not coming back.
Thank God you guys posted videos soon... And please continue the same for 3rd installment
A big step up from the first movie and is no doubt the best in the franchise since the original one came out in the 60s.
"This steak is disgusting!"
"Yeah...that bear liked eatin' poop."
Kristin trying not to cry when they went to Caesar’s house 😭 same girl
Koba, what a tragic figure. He became what he most hated.....
Never in my life I have been this early
Haven’t started the video but I’m here for the tears
It needs to be said. That the point for this movie. Is that the humans nor the apes are ''better'' than the other side. They both have the equal capacity for good and bad. As seen with twitchy and koba. As you see with the horror that ensues after the apes got access to guns. Even The act of presumed slaughtering that the humans do to the apes at the end of the movie could realistically be justified as just an act for survival too. From their perspective the apes just took over one of their last standing settlements using the humans weapons of war. The only logical course of action to take if you wanna survive would be to stop them immediately before it gets worse. With the superior weapons of destruction that you happen to have a hold of giving you that edge you need. But it's very reasonable to think that if the apes had it they might also use it to wipe out the humans too. Taking a side and calling them more ''right'' is probably the only wrong approach here
This is where the fun begins
Omg the hiccups, the scare 😂… love watching along with you guys. Kristen is beautiful and adorable at the same time.
I love how you call him "Ko-be" like the beef.
Dawn of the Waterworks.
First time I noticed Kristen has a tattoo on her hand.
Shocking considering the amount of time I spend staring down, unless the tattoo is new.
Edit
It's new, it didn't exist in the previous movie.
Either a tattoo or just painting.
Perv 😂
Jadd J.A.D.D. Jadd
Kristen, I love your enthusiasm at the beginning and be the end I felt for you. If you thought that was rough to get through, then you aren't ready for War for the Planet of the Apes.
Awesome reaction of my favorite Planet Of The Apes movie!!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊
The merchandising was an ironic joke, in order to gets George Lucas agreed to allowing the Star War parody, Brooks had to agree to do no merchanimerc
Awww Kristen ❤️ I just wanna give you a big warm hug!
Love this trilogy, you 2 are a wonderful duo but Kristen for me takes these movies up a few notches with her emotional moments
Matt Reeves should bring Michael Seresin to work in the sequel of THE BATMAN
They did a great job in these movies
Greg Frasier is the cinematographer for the sequel. He also shot the Batman as well as the first two dune movies.
But i agree seresin did an amazing job with the visuals for the two apes movies. He definitely should've won an Oscar for both.
One thing I thought was kind of ironic-funny is that Kirk Acevedo who plays Carver in this one was in the 12 Monkey TV series, another show involving a post-apocalyptic world after a pandemic.
Kristan got mehandi on her hand ❤
Looks beautiful
18:05 there are 2 different reactions 😮🤩
Thankyou for watching and reacting to the second movie in the best trilogy ever made. Dawn of the planet of the apes. I adore this trilogy they are all masterpieces and Dawn is next level. I adore Caesar he’s the best character ever written for a movie and i love Koba he makes a fantastic villain though you can see where both Koba and Caesar are coming from. Andy Serkis and Toby Krebbel who played Koba deserved so may awards for their performances but we never nominated which is criminal. I also strongly believe this trilogy is criminally unappreciated and underrated so many people cast judgement on a trilogy they haven’t even seen. I’m sure this one will blow your mind so will War. I’m so excited for the new one coming on may 10th called Kingdom of the planet of the apes. Take care 😘🏴 #ApesTogetherStrong ❤️ #TeamCaesar ❤️
It's not just that Ceasar was taught. He was born with a112 then took the a113. He's insanely more intelligent
I've never seen that hiccup trick work like that on camera 😂 Thank you!!! 😂
Kingdom is one week away i’m so excited to see Caesars descendant Noa. He’s so cute. 😘🏴
Lol she is saying no baby don't do that 😂
19:18 Imagine how strong those apes are, because the dude was handcuffed to the wheel
Wow! I've never seen two reactors so completely misread Koba before!
The hiccups ending scare was epic lol 😅
Why are you calling him Ko-bay?
I’m here for you Kristen, if you still need a hug.
Kristen hates watching animals be harmed but eats meat😂
What a performance by Andy Serkis in this trilogy!
You think a human bite would hurt an ape? Did you forget the part where an adolescent chimp basically tanked a direct claw attack from a bear?
dawn was such a good follow up after rise
Kristen, you’re going to make me cry too 😅 Man, this movie
I feel like this movie is awesome you are successful RUclipsrs
The floor is gonna be flooded with tissues and tissue boxes when you guys watch "War for the Planet of the Apes" 🤧
I think y’all should continue war and then watch Kingdom because the original timeline takes place 2000 years after the events of this trilogy. Watch war then kingdom and then the original series.
Great reaction also thank god you guys finally got it the the kobi ko-be pronunciations were killing me earlier on also I felt so bad for Ash he got shot stayed loyal to Caesar and his reward was being the 1st Ape killed by another Ape I might've been able to justify him offing Caesar as a tough decision for the Apes best interests ( it wasn't but you can kinda argue) but he lost me when he killed Ash that showed he cared more about power than what's best for Apes
Koba and Cesar are basically Magneto and Charles
Drinking game while Kristin reacting to animal movies will be awesome
Good God, the amount of times he calls him 'Kobe' he's not a special beef... It's Koba.....
These films are great because they take traits that we recognize as human and juxtapose them onto anthropomorphized apes. Which isn't hard to do because they are so very much like us. If this plays out in other films, like the new one that's going to come out, all of the things you hate about the humans because the apes are SOOOOOOOO CUTE, will be shined through the apes. They will be the oppressors and the humans will be the oppressed. It's actually very apropos for the modern times we are living in. Our country has lost all empathy for the very human struggles that we all go through. If we can call out BAD first then we are virtuous. But, if you looked close enough into your own lives you'd probably see an example of the same sort of behavior, be it on a smaller scale perhaps, it's still there. And who's to say what made that more prevalent in that persons life than yours? Labels are easy and cheap. They make it easy for you to move on to the thing you'd rather be doing and they absolve you of any real responsibility to have to make a choice or a judgement call. Can any one person be boiled down to, "He said that, so he's for sure like this." or, "She's dressed like that so that must mean she's X, Y, and Z." For people who don't like the Planet of the Apes franchise, I think it's either uncomfortable for them because it shows so many flaws in themselves or they are too self centered or not bright enough to see how incredibly beautiful and complex this story is. As a society we used to be more interested in enduring uncomfortable things in order to gain a better perspective. I hope we get back to that some day. Maybe these films will be the only ones to survive the next big war and those that survive will have the benefit of watching these films and being led by the hand through so many existential and moral questions that humans and yes, apes have to face. Our heart, our violence, our impulsiveness and our suspicion is shared with our almost identical ancestors. There is a doc on Netflix that you guys should watch called Chimp Nation I think. It follows a little society of chimps in the Congo or something. Anyway, they have discovered so many new things about the ways that apes act and think, individually and in groups. And the apple hasn't fallen far from our tree for either of us.
ONE MORE COOL APE FACT I JUST LEARNED
Scientist have observed either a single or a group of orangutans making spears and fishing with them. This wasn't long ago either. So they are sort of thinking that that fact means that, at least those apes have entered their own stone age. We saw them evolve significantly to a new freaking era of their evolution. How freaky and cool is that? I think that cats and dogs are learning to speak from us. Like developing and passing down the traits needed to learn and use language. If only we all trained our dogs and cats with those buttons on the ground that play words back when they push them. Nature is crazy.
Oh man, I can't wait to see how Kristen reacts to the next one lol.
My favorite line was unfortunately not included in this video: "Koba belong in cage!"
PLease, don´t miss part 3 ! it is the best one !
Kristen talking about a twist and turn movies recently she watched and took 5days to overcome. I believe it was Race 1 😂😂..
Thankfully, no bears were harmed in this video, although some simians were very slightly miffed.
You guys are gonna love the third one ❤
34:14 i cried at that moment too
Monke......
RIP Harambe.
Love this trilogy so much ❤
Dope reaction gonna cry more on the war of the planet of the apes
hahahahaha 30:09 !!! Moments like these are why I love these two reacting together
What will happen to her when she saw the last part 😅😅😅 this lady gonna break so hard 😂😂 She is so cute 🥰🥰🥰
didnt realise reading 4 lettters was that challenging
My favorite franchise ever! I will say fast and furious is a close one too but just the first and second one lol. Oh and LOTR!
no like how can you cry this much
There is no Ko-Bee or Ko-Bay, only Ko-Bah... They eventually got it
I’m going to do marathon before the new one
Run 26 miles ?
@@-M0LE what?! Oh heck no 😂 I mean all three planet of the apes movies
No, Koba did not try. He should have followed Ceasar but all he wanted was revenge. He was in it for himself, he did not have the apes welfare at heart at all.
😂🤣 damn Kristen been takin some emotional Ls the last 3 movies
If you guys plan on watching the third one you better bring a basket for Kristen's tears
vegetarian? no no no. at some cases, chimps even ate other chimps
This movie is absolutely brilliant
Killing of Apes is brutal and emotional but killing of people in war movies is thriller and enjoyable, Welcome to New World baby!!!
Nice reaction, can't wait for the 3rd one already 😅
I think you can continue on the journey you are on, or watch one of the originals in between if you want. But to be warned, the old movies are SLLOOOOOWWWW.
Never let her search a chimpanzee hunt…she won’t like it 😰🤣
