You should make an island endemic subspecies/species of Ophaur that is much smaller than any other Ophaur subspecies. Like the Island Fox or the Cozumel Raccoon. This is a suggestion btw.
The fact that you are going into so much into detail about just one species instead of skimming over many is something I haven’t encountered in a speculative evolution project before
@@Slapbattler666 i am not going to lie, that is mostly because every time I try to make a spec evo project with multiple creatures, I inevitably burn myself out
Some improvements I could do I think to the subspecies: 1. North American ophaurs will have a thicker fur to withstand cold Temperatures during winter along with Eurasian ophaurs (incase some of them live in the Himalayas) 2. South American ophaurs will have less fur to cope with still being light in water (because you mentioned them as a big venomous cat during your ophaur pet video) 3. Oceanian ophaurs will likely have the opportunity to prey on raw fish (just like the fishing cat if possible just making them have less fur.) 4. Golden ophaurs don’t need any change but maybe their golden coloration will help them camouflage when hunt? (Just a speculation) also tbh the ophaurs look like dogs so some people might confuse them for a dog if they were real (because of how they look like)
Hey,Brazilian person here. Apparently,when i was a kid,i licked a dead ophaur in the road. Maybe thats why im a bit Crazy.. Crazy? I was Crazy once. They locked me in a Room,a rubber room,a rubber room with rats,and rats make me crazy.
I mean the Ophaur are original to the creator. Their not exactly an open species to make different variants of. That's more akin to furry\Feral original species in the furry community which can either be open or closed
