I've been bleeding my Code RSCs the SRAM way, but at the end, leave the caliper syringe in (take syringe off lever end). When the lever syringe is removed you lose heaps of dot fluid. So keeping the caliper end on you can unscrew it again, push more fluid into the system (give it a decent push!) and it tops up the system. Been riding firm/touchy SRAMs for a while now :)
Love the content today. Whilst i'll never be at the skill level (or be able to afford) all that nice gear; it is really interesting to hear how and why you make setup decisions and adjusting those based on riding conditions etc.
Didn’t talk about it here but it was one of your videos that got me looking into Ochain. Got one for my bike. Mad difference, love it! So cheers for that mate 👌
Such an interesting video dude. I can’t wait for you to do pre season testing of the new rig. Would be really cool to hear your thoughts on the different bits and settings you test
Awesome video. Much appreciated. I'm a little surprised Jack runs the Centerline rotors instead of the newer thicker HS2 rotors, which supposedly have a bit more stopping power and better heat management. Clearly the Centerlines work well enough for a world champion.
it makes a big difference on how you ride and how you brake obviously, works great for him, but I'm pretty sure, not that good for brake draggers :D like me this is also his 2021 rig, in 2022 he had new rotors, I suppose
This is my favorite video you've ever done. This level of detail and little trackside Tommy hacks are so sick to get insight to. If I understood correctly, only sealant no inserts up front?!
Nice vid moimoi Nuke proof tyre inserts(the most chunky ones on the market) would definitely save your rims at low pressures. But I know your not that keen on inserts... I have bent and broke a load of rims But never with the inserts in. Maybe in your off season put some in and try your hardest to destroy you rims. Love your channel brother you are the man!! Moimoi tv #1 🤙
Why on earth would you say that the Nukeproof inserts are "the most chunky ones on the market"??? I've found them to be flimsy and provide almost zero protection compared to Cushcore, or even Huck Norris.
Top content as always mate, and currently tossing up between Spectral and Strive also. I'm 190cm and edging towards large frame also but riding much tamer trails than you so maybe XL would be more comfortable on the long hauls...
Enjoying a chill walkthrough of race bikes. As you said, the details mean really little because you are the champ and we are just peasants - but its still cool mulling about it. 😉 And yes, EX 511 rims are used in the EX 1501 wheel set. I wouldnt be shocked if DT secretly gave you Pros a little bit better (i.e. special rims with a little extra alloy here and there) than retail. 😅
Nice vid, great info Jack, as always. As a Strive owner, I'm trying to work out if the 2023 Rockshox Super Deluxe C1 shock will fit in the frame. The piggyback looks closer to the eyelet level than the old shock. Space is tight there on the Strive frame, so I am not sure if it would fit. I called SRAM and they can't tell me the size details. Has anyone done this? (I'm looking at you Jack ; ). I think upgrading the fork and shock to the new Rockshox stuff will make a great bike even better.
Oi Jack mate, got a part number for that 15mm frame spacer. Been looking for one of those everywhere but it appears you can only get them off canyon if you're a world champion... 🤙🤦♂️
You would have to machine one up, don't think an angle set would work as it is an integrated headset. You would have to make a special one like the spacer
I'm curious why you never ran the Canyon Torque bro? Im sure you got to test one. Did it not come in a big enough size? The 2022 model is 2x times as long.
@@moimoitv_ Torque is a shredder bro! It can do it all and suspension is more progressive feeling than numbers let off. Gnar freeride, jumps, park, even enough pop for trails my dude! Hope you try it soon!
@lostboysbrando No Dig No Ride had the Torque just got myself a Strive... can tell you the Strive is fast AF! The torque is a great bike park and will save you more when you make mistakes, but that Strive feels like a 130mm trail bike
Cool! Are you still running the stock 60mm stroke in the rear shock or is the 5mm spacer removed so you get 65mm instead - meaning that you actually have appr. 160mm rear travel?
@@moimoitv_ the 60mm and 65mm stroke shocks are physically the same on the on the outside and they are both 230mm long eye to eye - the only difference is a 5mm grey plastic spacer on the inside that looks like token. So a 60mm stroke is just a 65mm shock with a spacer on the inside which limits the travel. Removing this spacers adds appr. 10mm travel in the rear of a Strive. Cannot be done on size Medium or Small frames though due to clearance issues I've heard, but I've done it succefully on my size Large after reading somewhere that your 2019 bike had this hack.
Just wondering if you’ve been tempted with running the new oneup 240mm dropper? I see how far your dropper is raised from the seat post and even tho axs is such a delight to use would a bit more room temp you?

you "overbleed" them by pumping up the lever a bit, and then adding extra dot fluid. The brake becomes more like shimano. Works with shimano too (if you want even more bite with those haha)
