I like it when Doddy do bike checks, it makes the pro bikes look like a kid's bike.
These are about as good as bike checks can be. Super in-depth measurements with good rider questions being asked. Well done Doddy! Please keep these coming.
Daddu
Doddy is the best. Super composed and with deep knowledge of the bike. Very pleased to watch him.
Jesse' setup is ace, love his videos on the MGM alternative channel where they go into depth of the choices they make for bike setup and the way they measure them and test. inspired me to do some tinkering on my own bike with great affect, amazing what a few little tweaks to to bar height, bar roll can do
I do love Jesse's way of engaging, explaining and getting enthusiastically involved in the review !!!!! as with the other two we feel like they are there because they had to!
1:36 The Canadian Shield. I like that. I have seen bits of gravel lodged in that space on my bike and was thinking of doing something similar.
I do like the fact that they try to bring back the go on these monster slack/long bike, it kinda shows we are getting too far with that.
I love how Doddy is very conscious of not making anybody feel small. Because he's so tall lol. He's kneeling or standing on lower ground than anyone else. 😂 Very polite Doddy! Seriously though, good man.
Cheers to the lurker kid during the Richie Rude interview segment. Your the real mvp...
More videos like this please.
Thanks for upload 🤘😎👍
Great bike check video! This is how they should all be. Very interesting to see how pros setup their bikes and why. I think Richie’s brake component mix is pretty interesting. Given he uses CC Pro, DH casing tires and Saint SPDs he obviously places a premium on a hard use enduro rig.
Definitely neat to see how the pros set up their bikes. Also interesting how all three are running almost the same bar width despite the height disparities. It also has me considering narrower bars on my own bikes (currently 760, 780 and 800 for trail, enduro and hardtail respectively). I also run my Shimano levers fairly inboard so I can only grab the end of the lever with my index finger and with an engagement pretty close to the grip.
Folks should definitely check out Jesse's MGM Alternative channel. Lots of fun videos with him, Miranda Miller and Remi Gauvin.
Doddy, this is so good! I love these tech deep dives with the racers 🤙
Very good tech video, great job ask the questions we all want answers to.
I am a Rocky Mountain person I love the adjustability of the bike.
Brilliant video, so good to see the bikes in detail
Interesting setup on those bikes. Love the indepth conversations with the pros. Learnt something new again. Great work Doddy 💯👌👌
DaddyGreat in-depth video on bike set up for the three different racers lots of detail measurements more in depth than most other articles you guys have done. I think Jesse’s ride is about the best looking of the bunch in with the options of geometry set up it’s definitely a winner for me
Great video Doddy, love the o-ring rattle pad solution on Jesse's bike
Great detailed (I love the data) bike checks. Really appreciated. Thanks!
Love ya work mate. Fan since back in the old fashioned magazine days. Cheers from Australia 👍🏻
Nice one Doddy.
Bring us more bikes from the other riders please
That GT prototype was really interesting but you just cant beat the Yeti for me personally. Looks so badass and I like the geo and how they perform. I like the company the most of any bike companies too
Love a good bike check, and no one does a better bike check than Doddy. Now we just need a Sram sponsored video so we can see some of the Sram/Rockshox equipped bikes.
Just in case anyone is wondering, pretty sure Noga Korem's bike is the new Force. Noticed in the video she wasn't allowed to say but it is damn near identical to the new Force.
a brake thing i'm thinking off is running shimano levers and hope E4 callipers. play some mix and match
(edit)
before anyone say's can't due to fluid, hope released the RX4 calliper for road bikes in versions for both sram (dot) and shimano (mineral oil). and being that hope never like to change anything the RX4 uses the same odd sized pistons and bore caps as the E4 and M4 callipers, even the dot seals have the same part codes on the PDF's. which means the Shimano seals for the RX4 callipers will work in the E4/M4 callipers even going back to the 2001 versions with 4 pads per calliper.
the newer E4 with Equal pistons use the large seals from the rx4 calliper so you'd just need 2 sets of seals to convert them
should allow use of hope and the small 1finger shimano lever.
Oh, ok, so pretty soon my ancient HT Merida with it's 550 bars will be the bee's knees😁
wheel inner diameters and tyre sizes would be nice to know
Go Jesse 🤘
Great job! Did you catch Richie's weight? I'm just curious where he's at with how his bike is setup. Cheers!
Would be great if Shimano would make the Brake Lever Units available again…
15:37 ... is Jesse running a hairtie to keep his brakepads from ratteling ? xD
Does the chain and chainring wear quicker on high idler bikes due to the chain only contacting 1/4 of the chainring instead of spreading the load over 180 degress on other bikes???
the idlers take huge punishment as they have to deal with the angle of the chain
1:00 what’s that blue Boa-System that clamps around the inner tube? Do anyone knows what it’s called?
it's an occam strap
Doddy looks like a legit giant standing next to Noga.
Interesting see the Profesionals
Doddy, did you ask Jesse what's going on with the little rubber bands on his brake pads? They just to stop them rattling as much?
15:37 rubber band to prevent pad rattle? What are they?
Awesome Bike’s and very informative! Sick bikes 👍 Thank You from me and my Channel!⭐️👍
I choose the Rocky Mountain Altitude but would have gone with the Shimano XTR 10 - 51 rather then the 45. Those climbs are murder.
Let’s take a moment to respect those bikes trackstanding on their own
cool bikes
Allways intresting to hear and see how the pros set up their bikes. It looks like the pros are comming back from the industries push to turn enduro bikes into dh boundries. Not longer than 170 front, not slacker than 63.5, no wider bars than 770mm.... Makes me think.
You forgot to ask Rude one important question; how many volume spacers does he use?
12:30, EMBN in the back.
Doddy... The GT not the Yeti?
Crazy that Noga and Doddy run the same size wheels hes twice her height
Looking back, jessie could win on canyon or rocky mountain. I bet richie could as well. Canyon, rocky mountain, or yeti.
Morning all, who’s riding today ? Or has ridden this weekend ?
?? the DH in maribor is on, not EWS this is old as now, they just stringing content along and having to wait to release it due to the GT force release date
@@MrSupermugen no I was asking people in the comments if they had been out for a ride today or yesterday
@@lukecooper1993 oh haha, me then, rode this morning for 2 hours, then helped some guy look for his keys for 30mins on the trails lol.
I'll be riding today. Got several trails I want to run on my now nearly finished bike.
Me !!! Today and yesterday. Had to jump of the bike today in order to not slam on rocks on a tricky downhill. Love my flat padales !!!
doddy and his calipers give me nightmares😄 wake up hearing bumps...doddy?👀
whow look at the upper of the GT´s X2...
My mother said, Trentino is to dangerous, because it was the COVID-hotspot
My mother said so many unusefull things, I had to stop listening, and go wy own way. Try it, you will become a grown up, and not stay in that endless childhood !!!!
@@jeffv.akaonsjeffke9865 I showed your answer to my mother, and she said: in Trentino we had in short period of time with 12.000 dead people the highest mortality rate, and the Delta Variant is deadlier as the og-Virus. To let britts, with the deadliest delta-variant travel to the deadliest Corona-hotspot of the world, is to dangerous
I pity the fool.
I think your mother should study a bit more befor she miss informs you. Trentino has had till today a total of 1345 deaths, one of the four less affected regions of Italy. Anyway, enough cause all this is off topic.
Doddy trying to get a date with all the compliments to the femail rider
I know its enduro but i would put a 27,5 in the back if i was shorter maybe even now
Maybe I’m first this time
great stuff, great bikes, obviously, but these riders would be fast on any decent bike, and I would be really slow on one of these "fastest enduro bikes in the world"
Second
You forgot to add the fastest bike of them all…..Jack Moir

Nah mate that was me
Well done, its not easy, lol
They are not ebikes. So Are they not old school bikes? Ebikers say ebikes are the future lol.
Isn’t Richie one of the lads who used drugs a bit back
That is correct
Every 29er 🤮
