The current pickup truck design of body on frame hasn’t change since the model T. The cybertruck’s entire exterior including the bed is part of the structure frame. The design is all form not fashion. When you understand this, you will see the truck a lot different. This is a much better truck because of the way it looks.
I agree I was cringing when I first saw it but just like everyone else it grew on me. Btw great vid!

I am totally in love with it. How can you not want to drive some sci-fi Mars rover? Compared to other trucks it is not just bold and different but also beautiful in my opinion. It has nice clean simple uncluttered features. Beautiful minimalism. Other trucks are kind of gaudy especially in the front. Very busy with lots of clutter.

i notice that all the girls immediately full in love with the looks but the guys need 2 or 3 days to get used to it and some just dont like it at all. makes you wonder why. i mean it literally looks like a tank without a cannon on top which should turn all the girls off immediately and the guys crying with love but has the opposite affect on both.

I love the appearance myself. I can totally see myself driving around in that thing. It took 24 hours for my wife to embrace the look, but she's totally sold on the functionality. I hope the look doesn't change at all.

Watching this video about Tesla Truck is so interesting to me. It’s so crazy that you guys went to see the event and Elon Musk himself. This is why I love Tesla so much. The new Cybertruck looks so cool and it’s definitely the best one ever, for sure.

Erin O'Brien suit yourself! I ordered one. At first I wasn’t sure but ordered it a few hours later. This thing will be an absolute blast to drive. Even more fun than my Model S.
Love at first sight for me. Instantly reminded me of 1970s WEDGE Era cars.
I do not understand why people freak out about how it looks.
When I am using my car, I am inside of it, not outside. It literally does not matter how it looks, because when I am using it, I can't even see my car.
I think people are brainwashed to look for aesthetics first, practical usage second way to much.
For me first questions were about practicality of things, I did not even think about aesthetics before people started freaking out about it.
Fragility of modern cars always bothered me, which is why when I were considering practical car, my first looks were on retired military vehicles. Things like paint or curves literally do not matter, because car exist to move me and my things from point A to point B, not to please my eye.
If I want to look on pretty things I would look on nature, woman or art. Never understood why people try to turn things meant to be practical into form of art if it compromises practical aspect.
Before Cybertruck I was very skeptical about Tesla and vision of Musk, lot of the things they did are controversial and lot of the things did not sit with me. Cybertruck though made me reconsider Tesla to be able to contribute to innovation and lead the way, because I can see them doing some things right with this car.
I hope their idea of practicality is not all just buzz and marketing, if Cybertruck ends up really being practical first, they will definitely change my mind about company. Will be waiting for more news and release.

ok since you two are high fashion types, here's a purist way to evaluate beauty from a fabrication aspect. Every classic beauty weather it is a lamp or knife or even a blender, long term efficient function equals beauty, so long term if the look helps function the human eye eventually finds the design desirable ie. good looking.
Dude I didn't know you were actually there, that's legit! I think it's completely revolutionary and people will get over the fact it's different. Once people drive it....it's going to really turn people from a "traditional pickup" I imagine that exact truck on black and I think it would look pretty good.

I’m holding off on a reservation. I was a day 1 Model 3 reservation holder and it didn’t make a difference , I wasn’t even given a “model” of the Model 3. But more importantly regarding the truck, how much of the truck on stage was options ? Wheels ?, tires ?, light bar ?, vault cover ?

I have a question. If you get the 500 mile truck will you get less power then the 200 mile truck? This is probably a stupid question. I really don't know anything about this type of vehicle.
If it's anything like the previous models, the more motors you have, the better performance. I imagine the batteries will be different in the bottom tier vs the top tier similar to the Model S, X (75D, 85D, 100D, and P100D). So, you'll accelerate faster with more motors and bigger batteries and also be able to drive longer with the bigger battery.
No. Other way around. Power comes from having lots of battery power, range comes from having lots of battery energy, both those things come from having lots of batteries. That's why the 0-60 is quickest in the long range version.

Yes that will be the norm for BEV from now on. Even E-Tron SUV in Europe is already being sold with Camera Digital Mirrors, but it's horrible. Honda E has the best Ergonomics which is even better than normal mirrors.

From a sci-fi it looks like it came straight out of a movie which is fun. However, being a farmer the truck it will not be very practical. This truck is meant for people that want a truck because of the looks. A truck should be able to tow at least 10k lbs and have a range of 400 miles.
