    Kels, I'm so proud of yall. I garden and just got my first chickens. Exactly right about homesteading no matter where you live. If I taught myself to can, you can too, honey. Enjoy every minute of homesteading. I have learned canning from RUclips. Try Deep South Homestead and The Mac's.

    Another tip for not cracking instead of drilling a hole is to run your deck screw in reverse for a few seconds which sort of "drills a hole" and drive your screw.
    This works best on deck screws that have the kinda self drilling tip on em.

    How are they holding up? Any significant bowing when you filled it with dirt?

      We Added the middle bracing so it didn’t really bow from dirt. However once it rained it seem there was a tad warp from the moisture. If we do it again we will probably seal it!:)
