Been wanting to take on doing some wood projects for a while. Seemed intimidating. Thanks for showing how easy it can be and giving me the confidence to get started.
Love the planters! May just have to make the porch one and maybe could use the other as a raised lettuce planter near the garden! Keep these coming - you're so inspiring!!
I love how you always give so many different ideas for how to use the things you build. I can totally see the chest being used on a front porch for packages (or if you're doing porch pickups for things you sell on Marketplace!). Great job on it!
Love your blouse. You look fabulous. Love all the planter boxes. So funny, I was just thinking of your past planter box. I have a small tree that has outgrown it's pot. I said to myself that I need to make one and it would probably be less expensive. Waiting for some better weather.
Awesome diys, Whitney! I love them all! They are all so beautiful! I love, love your wood build videos! As always, thank you for sharing all of your hard work, creativity, talent, and inspiration! Stay safe, healthy, and positive! God bless you and your family!🙏❤️🇺🇸😊
Another great video definitely will be making a few of these. Loved the idea of using the planter stand box as a place to put drinks. Thank you for sharing all you do.
Before I begin to comment on this really cool video...I just wanted to share that...The best way to spread Christmas cheer, is singing loud for all to hear!
@@Whiskeyandwhit I also wanted to let you know we've been watching you before this event was posted. Love your content and how you present yourself! Keep on keeping on!!! We'll be hanging on!!! **BIG HUGS** Sheila Smith
Whitney it’s so amazing you can make these wood pieces and all so very functional ❤ I love the look of cedar and the stain you put on! I think I can try and make the address planter TFS
I had to laugh when the piece of wood went flying out of your hands because that would be me! Also chuckled that you finally are making something after 2 years of seeing it on your BFF site. Again I could relate because I'm still trying to get to Menards to buy the things and make the planters you did last summer, gosh its probably TWO summers too!!! Maybe I should go find your video and screenshot the list. You need to buy Natalie's drill. Natalie from Designed to the Nines. She had it created and is starting to design her own tools. It even goes through masonry!! Have a GREAT weekend
Thank you everyone for your sweet comments about me sounding sick (sorry about that!) when you work for yourself you have to push through sometimes to get the video done. I am feeling better - my allergies are awful right now and I missed cutting out a cough. I’m sorry about that!! ❤❤
Great question! I haven’t had that issue, but I just looked and you can either take them to a WP store, or if you aren’t near one of those, any optical center to be adjusted. They may charge a small fee if it’s not WP. I hope that helps!
I love when you do wood projects, they’re my favorite! You always inspire me. I’m making the Ana white cedar planter boxes you did awhile ago in black and early American two tone finish for my summer flowers on our deck. Love the big cedar box you made to store all the deck and pool stuff too! It’s fun to do wood projects.
Even here in Southern CA (near the beach) we've had unusual weather and have more rain and chilly temps coming for the weekend. One good things is that all of my outdoor plants have loved the rain, so I have even better plants for my re-potting, re-arranging plans.
Yeeesss!!! I LOVE all of your projects but all things wood have my heart. I get so excited when you share these. I can’t believe I somehow missed this one when it dropped. I’m so glad I always scroll through your videos to see if I missed anything, looking for inspiration or for projects you previously shared that I haven’t gotten to yet. Your channel is still one of my favorites. I can’t get enough of you and all that you do. Again, thank you for all of the time and effort you put into all that you share with us Whitney. ❤I’m always chomping at the bit to get my tools out and start building after watching you. I’m in Indiana so I get how the weather has been lately. Some days have truly been like Summer, then winter is back, Spring, winter, Summer and so on. You just never know in the Midwest. I’ve started so many wood projects lately and then had to rush to run everything back inside. Then go days and days, sometimes weeks before I can touch it again. It can be so frustrating. I’m just happy that more days of Sunshine are in the forecast.
I use the bumpy shelf liner under my wood when I’m sanding, it helps keep it still much better! Fellow plant killer here too. I’m doing a plant craft market (not far from you!) soon, I love them I just can’t keep them alive myself. 🤣
Yay! Great instructions on how to make the gardening boxes. Have been wanting to do this for a long time. Now I can garden again! Really like the floral box with house number too. Excited to get started Thank you Whitney.
I heard you coughing! I hope you did not get sick! Thank you so much for all these wood projects! I always look forward to your videos! You are awesome! Take care of yourself! ☺️
Fellow plant killer…sometimes. I am getting better. ha! But summertime is not my best time for keeping them alive. Cute projects my friend :) Love some outdoor fun before the heat sets in.
Whitney, I'm in Rockford, so same planting zone. Try heuchera (or commonly called coral bells). They do well in part shade, come in many different colors. They're perennials. I have some growing in a big pot by my back door. They don't die back in the spring even. I lso have some hosts in the same pot that I found last summer discarded on my curb, half dead. I stuck them in some dirt, with a little Espoma Plant Starter fertilizer & water, they're thriving. You can't kill them 😊😅
Creative projects. Id however, use exterior stain and seal on anything used outside. Cedar Grey's and eventually dry roots if it's not sealed Id also do drainage and use a Plavix liner in the planet.
Thank you, I’m feeling better today - my allergies are awful right now due to the rain and sprouting flowers and I missed cutting out the cough. I’m sorry!!
Whitney, you are a rockstar, i am going to try a few of these boxes, i think on the last one, the chest, i'll be putting casters on mine so i can move it around easy!! Thanks for sharing :)
Awesome video!! Thank you 🎉. When you say that Ana White is your bew BFF, I've been saying the same thing about you to everyone! Your instructional videos make me feel that I can do it!!! Thanks again for another awesome video!! You're the best!!❤️🤗
I'm so excited to give several of these a try. My health issues will require that I include my husband but he's always willing. Thanks for sharing your enthusiasm and confidence.
I love all these wood projects! I’d love to make that last box for inside to put extra blankets in, we’re in Central Michigan so we have lots of blankets around. Thanks for sharing your talents with us.

My husband loves it when you have new projects for him. 😂 His “honey-do” list has grown because of this video. (I do help him, I promise!)
Haha I love it!! Glad you got some inspiration from this video! ♥️
Another fun and inspirational video, Whitney. Enjoy watching you create projects.
Thanks so much!
Your wood DIYs are my favorite videos. I have a plan to make some herb planters this Spring using pallets. Thank you Whitney for the inspiration!
Be careful using pallets for edibles. If the pallets are treated, it will leach into your soil.
You are so welcome! Happy building!!
You're so talented and I love watching you build things❤❤❤
Thank you!! ✨💕
Love all of these and love Ana White as well! Thanks for bringing these to us.
