    I love everything on this car. The dial gear shift is my favorite thing. Theres safety features people dont realize. For example. Lets say you are in a rush and you pull into a parking space and for whatever reason you forget to put the car in park. Once you unbuckle your seat belt and open the door the car knows that it needs to be parked and puts itself in park. Another thing is you dont even have to put it in park you can just hit the start/ stop button and it rotates the dial to park by itself

    We just got a 2020 Hybrid SE. Loving it so far. My wife and I compete driving it and hyper-mile-ing, to see who gets the better score. So far she is winning. Our trip from Birmingham to Huntsville she averaged 54.7 MPG, on the highway! That's is phenomenal. We bought it on 8/12, that just short of a month ago and we still have a half a tank of the gas from when the dealership filled it up!

    I have a 2018 Ford fusion hybrid SE. I don’t have many cars to compare it to since this is the first car I found had (pick up trucks before this). Bought it in 2019 preowned with 5000 miles on it. Never had a problem with it so far and I’ve got 49,000 miles on it now. it does about 50 miles per gallon in the city and 35 to 38 on the highway. Only thing I don’t like about this is it doesn’t have the fog lights. Might see if I can have them installed I got to figure out how expensive that is, I honestly wish I had the energy version but this one does pretty well. It handles really well in my opinion, in every way, I especially love the brakes. Thankfully Ford decided to include the 8 inch display in better entertainment and sound system in this model. Absolutely love the sound system in this car, especially the android auto/Apple CarPlay capabilities. One thing I will say the air conditioning is really cold, but sometimes on a hot day, even though it’s blowing very cold air, it takes longer to cool down then some other vehicles I have been in, I love the aggressive styling of the car and the little Blindspot mirrors are awesome. I also really like the displays on either side of the speedometer. I think it’s a really cool design. I also liked it Ford thought about its passengers and made it so that those displays can be customized the way people want them. for the money this is a very good car. I will say the mirror and window control buttons on the driver side door are a bit far forward in my opinion. I find myself accidentally rolling the rear windows down a lot of times rather than the front because of how far forward. the big glove box is also really nice in my opinion. I also like all the storage space in the center consul.

    FYI I have been looking at these cars and just checked Google. Officially the HP numbers are 188 HP which sounds correct because when my sister rented one and I drove it did not feel like 141 HP which was your quoted HP number. I double checked the Ford site. The total output is 188 HP and 141 for just the gas engine.

    We test drove the Fusion Hybrid before we bought our standard 2019 Fusion. We really WANTED to like the hybrid, but it just gave up too much of other features, including the truck that you mentioned, in order to get the price competitive.

  • @ccroy2001
    @ccroy2001 3 года назад +1

    I just got one, same mileage same price. It's got a lot of features/tech for an SE trim if you get the hybrid. From bulit in nav, all the safety stuff, and both front seats are powered. You can even remote start it if you have the Ford app on your phone. Plus it still has the Ford number pad entry on the door. I use that a lot at work if I want to get something out the car I can leave my purse and keys at my desk and still get in the car.

    My 14 Fusion Hybrid has been through hell and back with 170k miles. Also 99% sure the hybrid Fusion is faster off the line than the standard Fusion (2.5 or 1.6T). According to Ford the engine is a 141 HP and 129 ft-pd torque while the electric side of things use two motors totaling 118 hp with 177 ft-pd torque, total system output is 188hp (hybrid uses same exact motors on the plug-in version).

    What is the driving range of that hybrid? Does it have an alternator? How are the lithium batteries charged?

    • @angry519
      @angry519 Год назад +1

      @Joe M charged by coasting/braking.

    • @OhPhuckYou
      @OhPhuckYou Год назад

      The Hybrid systems Ford and Toyota use charge the battery by mixture of the gas engine and regenerative braking. With Hybrids, you never have to worry about charging the battery, and the range works like every other car, I usually get around 450-500 miles from a tank.
      Plug In Hybrids are different from Hybrids.

    upto what speed Ford Fusion runs on hybrid as Toyota and accord hybrid cars runs up to speed of 85 kph on battery then above that speed runs on gas. what is maximum speed of fusion which runs on battery.

    The ugliest fusion they ever made, but these aren’t true fusions, their Mondeos. The true Fusions were the 2006-2012 which were the best & most reliable ever made. Hated the new design when they did that in 2013, and they STILL haven’t redesigned it. Sad.

  • @mss627
    @mss627 3 года назад

    The engine and drive train are light years behind Honda and Toyota. I rented the naturally aspirated SEL. It felt like I was turning a boat around corners. I had always heard Fusions were great handling vehicles. Very disappointing. Yeah, go ahead Ford. You can retire this one.

    • @OhPhuckYou
      @OhPhuckYou Год назад +1

      The CD4 platform was released in 2013, so of course it's going to feel aged against a 2022 sedan. The drivetrain on the Hybrid is nearly identical to Toyota's Synergy Drive, and was far more capable than the 2015 Toyota Hybrid, and still holds own today when it comes to smooth transitions and max EV speed (85mph) while still providing competitive economy. When it was released, it was ahead of the competition. Of course a 9 year platform is going to feel aged.
