This is very helpful, thank you. I'm working with iOS so some of the interface looks different. Some of the commands have changed too. In the 'add' function for the numbers app the values field is only letting me input one variable even though it shows the + sign indicating multiple values should be allowed. I'm thinking this is a bug. I will try doing a separate 'Add' command for each value to see if that works. Unless you can suggest another path. Thanks again.
I've not played around with it lately but I know with the last changes the actions for Numbers did change quite a bit since I made this video. Were you able to figure it out?

With personal automations you can set the Shortcut to not "show" when it runs but with normal ones I'm not sure there is a way. Really depends on what actions you put in there, I have a few that I never see anything come up but I still hear and speak to it.
Im trying to create a spreadsheet for my crypto assets so I can track my purchase price & gains etc. I need the current price to do this and would like to update it on command vs using the stock formula in numbers and waiting for it to refresh. I love the crypto shortcut in the beginning of this. Could you do a video showing how you made it? How you got the API? (I've never used API before) Loved the video! thank you. I own a small business and track my milage with a spreadsheet, definitely will be making this!
@@CraigCmehil Whatever would keep a spreadsheet with prices most current. Say you could click on a button and update every coins price at any given time. Maybe this would be a shortcut. I'm looking for it to update the price in the same spot on the table each time. Also with this same idea of updating prices on a spreadsheet with API, is it possible to use API linked specifically with your account to automatically populate a table with info on coins you have bought & sold? (purchase price, cost of coin at time of purchase, date etc..) If so could you add how you would accomplish this? Thanks so much for the reply!
@@derekbren9942 the automator script I have simply grabs the current price based on the crypto symbol from the sheet, but you would still need to put the symbol into the sheet to begin with. I use this as I have coins from different locations together and not all from the same service/account. I looked at the code from the concept of a video - probably easier I just send you a copy of it if you want with some instructions
If you have upgraded to Mac Monterey then you can use the new "Quit App" action of the shortcuts on Mac OS but within the iPad or iPhone I'm not seeing anything straight forward to do it.
So I’m trying to make a shortcut to work with numbers to make a lil’ app to keep track of my about to be born child. The height and weight etc. I don’t have the “add to a spreadsheet”command. I also have multiple tables within each sheet. It allows me to add a row to a specific table but won’t let me write to it. Any help would be appreciated

The variables I found are a little tricky T first but after playing a bit you quickly catch on. In terms of what to update it depends on the apps and what has been incorporated into them by the developer. So Box, google, etc if they have shortcut enabled their apps you will have options.
Will be cool if me or other users could download made by you shortcuts. It will be great 👍

Some changes happened in the latest updates on writing to Numbers. Not sure I understand you can append a row but not write?
