  • Hello everyone! I am finally talking about 3 BODY PROBLEM (streaming now on Netflix)! This is one of those shows that I didn't want to binge watch so hopefully I am not too late to the game. :) What are your thoughts on 3BP? Have you read the books the show is based on? The book does a good job explaining that the way they attacked the ship was the best chance for getting the data. Any sort of boarding would have given Evans enough time to destroy it. If the fibers had gone through the drive, they would be able to recover it

    Interesting take regarding Ye becoming a fanatic when her dad was killed by fanatics. Tatiana gives me the creeps, they did a good job casting the actress, but as you say, hard to believe she had that much force to kill someone so easily. For me the lovestory between Will and Jin was one of the best parts of the show, it felt emotional and reminded me of Interstellar (when the main character promised his daughter to come home for her b-day)

      Interstellar!! Good comparison and a great movie! When Jin was running at the hospital in hopes to stop Will and sees his brain already being pulled away from his body...😢 I got teared eyed.
      From the trailer, I could tell Marlo Kelly was perfectly cast as Tatiana. The scene where she looks up at the sky with a smile and tears at the same time (very cult-ish like), sold it to me. You could sense how much she worshipped whatever was up there.

    You made some good points. One in particular that I agree with is Tatiana killing Jack. How the hell did she have enough strength to grab him by the throat , pick him up & slam him against the glass breaking the glass & then of course she stabbed him. No fighting back on his part ??? He is a big guy. He looked to me to be about 240 or 250 pounds. Is she super girl ? It confused me. I thought she must be one of the San-Ti & she has super human strength , but then later I realized that cannot be as they will not arrive for another 400 years. Weird scene. I assume I might never know the explanation.

      @denisespieces4744  4 месяца назад

      Right?? I was so confused. I'm just assuming the San Ti transfered some powers to her since she was an avid follower. She was always at the right place at the right time. They were even able to erase her from security footage. 🤷🏻‍♀️

    The netflix show took from all three books. There's lots of "red wedding" like moments in the 2nd & 3rd books. The netflix show is probably too short and the chinese show too long.

    Tatiana wasn't in the book, in fact most of the characters in the Netflix show aren't from the book, they're mostly inspired by characters from the book but they definitely don't act the same way, there's no Oxford 5 in the book, there's only Wang Miao.

    • @denisespieces4744
      @denisespieces4744  4 месяца назад +1

      Yeah, I still don't understand why split Miao into 5 characters. Maybe producers were trying to make the show have a broader appeal. 🤷🏻‍♀️ By having 5 different people, more viewers would get attached to them? Idk...

      @@denisespieces4744 They didn't split Miao into 5 characters. Four of the characters (Saul, Will, Jin, and Jack) come from later books in the series, which take place during the contemporary time period. The show is just telling the story in chronological order.

    Funny thing is that in the show Tatiana looks too short and puny besides Jack to be able to physically subdue him when in reality the actress is a bit taller than him.

    They changed so much from the book, minimized the Chinese characters, conjured up so many woke feminist and simp characters and set the show in London for no reason, other than because. Because there was nothing British about it

      Maybe they thought setting the story mainly in London would make the show have a broader appeal? 🤷🏻‍♀️ Idk...

      @@denisespieces4744 Netflix was contractually obligated to set the story outside of China with non-Mandarin speaking characters. The Chinese rights-holder intentionally wanted to appeal to a global audience so that it could sell the story twice (there's already a domestic version of the show).

    Interesting vid and opinions on comments.
    The main reason of mine is asking a question. Denise. Are you OK ?
    it's been almost two weeks since your last vid.
    I hope everything is fine. I've honestly been worried.
    Maybe you're wondering : "this guy, Carlos Eduardo, doesn't know me and l don't know him either, and is he worried about me ?
    Denise. I'm very aware that the feedback between us isn't "usual" or "normal". I perfectly understand.
    But l ask you to understand that it's my way of being. You know. I'm Latin-American (like you). We're very expressive and we give others many signs of affection. We carry it in our DNA.
    I'm not sure if you'll see this comment. I hope so.
    Be careful (always).
    P.S. : beautiful your dog.
    I have a puppy. His name is Gigio.
    I love him. He's my life.

    The Chinese show is much better than the book. I don't even think the Netflix show can count as an adaptation considering how much was changed and butchered.
