I lived in Minnesota for 12 years. They love their walleye. IMHO, smallies are much better. They fight better and taste much better.

Luckily I live near a golf course for one summer so I let the sprinklers turn on and they would be on the surface
I knew a bunch of guys back in the 80's who would use electricity to draw or push the worms out.
When we had a farm and knew we were gonna go fishing we had an old door that we would throw on some wet dirt and come back the next morning and there would be worms. Never were nice nightcrawlers but beggars can't be choosers and for a kid free worms were much cheaper.

Catching two 5lbers at a time with live young flying out all over the beach and scurrying them back in the surf is one of my favorite action packed expiditions my Grandfather so graciously shared with me. Now I'm the grandfather passing on the great outdoors to my grandkids. God I miss that old man. I was truly blessed having him for my Grandfather. 🤔😏🤠🐟🎣 priceless, FISH ON, LETS GO!

Here's a trick for you. Just soak your lawn at evening time. Wait about 20 minutes flashlight the Grass and be quick a lot will crawl around but a lot will stay just in their hole.
Nice truck! I owned a 6' bed taco and now have a 5'. Turning radius is much sharper with the 5' and I don't miss the 1' difference at all. Really nice when you get off the pavement on tight trails.
Same. My 04 taco was a 6ft bed my new one is 5ft. I put a canopy on it and I've got all the storage I need. Only downside is I can't fit my one piece fishing rods back there but they fit in the cab. Problem solved.

Congrats on the truck!! Great choice for the PNW. I agree with you on the bed, with a topper on it you can have quite the sleeping setup for hunting. I had a Tacoma TRD Pro for the last 5 years that I absolutely loved... but was offered a very good trade in on a Tundra, and I needed a little more towing power and bigger bed. No doubts that Tacoma will serve you well for many years! Can't wait to see some fish scales and turkey feathers in the back for you ha ha!
Welcome to the Taco club! Nice choice with the 6ft bed. I have a 6ft bed and it makes a big difference when you sleep in the bed. You can lay straight and have all your gear to one side.

Stall mats work well for truck beds. You can cut to size and they're alot thicker and more durable than the stuff sold for truck beds.

I also own a truck, a 2020 Ford Ranger 4x4 quad cab 5 ft bed and I love it. I put a bed rug in and a tonneau cover. To me the bed rug was a lot better option that a mat. Since its padded like a rug it's super soft to sit in and sleep on. Plus if I get deer blood on it I can remove it and wash it off. I'm so stoked to see you driving a truck finally. 😅😅

Camper shell with a roof rack and decked (or homemade) drawers. Can run some pvc pipe on the rack for rod holders and sleep in the bed(assuming like me you are under 6’tall) . Should still be enough room between drawers and camper shell for a big meat cooler. Taneau covers limit weatherproof cargo area too much for my liking.

That’s the last of the generation Tacoma. It’ll take you anywhere . You’re right you will go to the gas stations more often. It’s a little gas hog truck. I have an identical one, 2022. Got ten thousand miles.

congrats on the truck! i wouldnt get steps on the truck, ruins the clearance for when your offroad. I have a full size with steps and ive bottomed out on them numerous times and now their rusting out! Anyways, cool to see theyre actually doing work on the park there, thats always been a neat place. Also, you should have your logo at the end of the video as your end screen to go with your next video cards. Just a suggestion from a fellow creator :) nice catch and great video!

Nice truck. For me I need a full size with the 8 foot bed. I cut firewood in the summer time.
Stock side steps are cheap and everyone sells theirs because they’re all getting rock sliders. Get some nice OEM ones.
Invest in a camper shell. Very convenience for us hunters and fishermen.

I own a truck with a 5 foot bed. They are in fact usless! But that's why I also have a full size truck with 8foot bed

Great truck! that was my first one also. Good deal on bonking that pikeminnow, but if you are trying to help out, don't let those walleye go either! Killing those invasive species like smallmouth and walleye helps out our native fish as well!

That's how we did it as kids.
The only gripes I have about my 21 Tundra are the 5.5 ft bed and the trips to the pump. Otherwise the truck has been great. Can't really go wrong with a yota. Congrats.

sick bro! been watching you for few years now this may be one of my first comments lol but that truck wil do ya right! my bro has a army green 2022 trd and we pull the 18ft bay klamath with it its so perfect! good on fuel very practical for everyday driving and the amount of aftermarket support on tacomas are amazing!
