You’ll love the tungsten! But next time I’d suggest going through some target loads to sight it in then fine tune with the spendy shells! That’s what I’ve always done. Good luck this season, birds were tough on the opener, but we managed 5 longbeards in 2 1/2 days.

I lived in Red Lake, ONT for a few. years. In the spring, when the suckers were running, some people would get a😮bunch of them and pressure cook and can then them. That would soften all of those annoying bones

I love this part of WA, before kids I spent a lot more weekends over that way than I do now. Wanted to move east for the longest time, but with the way the state's going we're going out of state next year. Sad and excited at the same time, I do love so much about this state. Plan on hitting the salt hard this year as fishing picks up in the sound.

For bony fish (with Y bones), score the fish in several places and give it a hard fry in very hot oil. The bones will disappear.

With a honey fish, they would be a good fish to smoke because of the brine desolving the bones, or canning for the same reason.

Half a nightcrawler is very effective when used with a worm blower. Basically, it's a syringe with a small needle that you use to inject air in to the worm so floats like power bait. It's deadly on trout and other species that aren't necessarily bottom feeders.

  • @bidenhasdementia8657

Try keeping the rod in your hand next time, put your pointer finger on the line above the bail, you'll feel the bites 10x's better and can tell if wind or current is pushing your bait.
Also, the only fish I wait to set the hook on are catfish. 90% of the fishing anyone is going to do, don't wait for the fish to move the line or swim off with the bait. When you feel the first tick give 6" of rod tip and set the hook.
Fishing takes a lot of "feel" which takes a lot of time. Find some really experienced locals and you can learn more in one trip than you could learn on your own in three years.
