So I think this is pretty easy to understand why the TSR is spinnier which makes it more efficient on toe strikes: weight track is in the back vs GT3 with weight track in the front.
I really only change drivers nowadays based on feel and sound. The tech is so close that for me, the distance and dispersion differences are negligible. Perfect vibration and tone feedback is what I chase!
I just bought a brand new TSR3 9° driver with shaft for $300. Been playing an Ai Smoke triple diamond 9° this season and while I like it, I’ve found that if I try to turn it over, it really snaps left out of the air. It’s so much better for just straight ball and fade. However I tried a friends TSR3 and I could work the ball right to left, left to right, and straight. Going to test both head to head on my launch monitor though to see what works best overall.
Enjoyed this video as my swing, tho slower, has very much the same tendency. Same path, same tendency to hold the face open especially on misses. Encouraging to see how much easier it was, almost instantly, for Josh to square the GT3 with same specs. Not saying everyone would get same result, but definitely has me one foot out the door for a try with a GT2 or 3.
Excellent video.... Proof that Titleist do improve their products in the 2 years between club launches.... Some of the other manufacturers should consider the 2 years as well and actually improve their products rather than the clear intent to fleece us of unnecessary cash each year. I'm definitely considering selling 2 of my 3 drivers to have a GT fitting 🤔
@@DanB- proof was there in the way the lad instantly hit it straighter and longer... that's what I saw anyway 👍🏼 It's not always about the numbers mate. Also...im entitled to an opinion I think 😁
I think the takeaway for me (as the lad in the video) is that I felt more comfortable with one head over the other and that made the difference and it just happened to be the newer model ☺️ I think for me the GT was better but it could go either way with another hitter. Plus I spray it over the face 🤣
@@RichBoyWinstonStraightVibin spot on, it comes down to each individual, I totally agree. I am very tempted by the GT range but will probably need to move on at least 1 of my current stable of 3 drivers 😭😂😂
Pretty crazy. I always thought the TSR line were among the best drivers. I Managed to get a deal on one and it is pretty amazing, picked up speed and forgiveness. And it has a decent sound, much better than the TaylorMade products but not quite as good as the Paradym's.
it's interesting because you would think the weight forward would create more dispersion with the GT3, but it seems pretty forgiving and creates low spin vs. the TSR. I love my TSR3 and won't move to the GT3, but for someone who needs to knock spin down it seems like a great move
If you struggle with accuracy off the tee ,then a bit more spin is your friend ,good comparison on those drivers .I doubt I will be upgrading my tsr ,I’m just not accurate enough most days to notice any consistent difference
Would have been interesting to see you add white vertical lines on the face of the TSR to match the look of the GT face and see if he squared the face more.
I just got fit for a gt3 i was averaging above 1.5 smash factor on trackman while my 10k max ping was average at 1.47 and didnt notice any less forgiveness on the gt3
Yup always been a bit wayward off the tee! Tbf it’s a lot harder in here hitting lots of repeat balls, on the course it’s a bit easier but yeah even on course I ain’t the straightest!
@ crazy as he has a good swing on the inside, good numbers just wild spin. I have the same set up and I love the tsr3 it’s the best driver ever. Any hcp could game it. I know it’s for low hcp golfers but for me it’s super forgiving
Based on his variable hits around the face, it would be interesting to compare against a mindriver, does he hit the middle more often and therefore gain distance and accuracy. With the TM minidriver, reverse the weights and see if low spin gives him more distance, whilst still in control.
Na he's actually a pretty good driver of the ball tbh. Just spins it a lot so a mini driver would lose him quite a large amount of distance on average Vs a low loft ls style driver.
@@zacharymilos392 higher speeds?! Nah... if the video is too long don't watch it. Lol, love the in depth videos. Short videos don't explain anything. Videos should be as long as it takes to answer what's in question.
@@robinortega1834 well it all depends how many shots we put in. I could just go straight to the data to answer the questions and then it would be super short 😂. The more shots the better imo but this videos performance has definitely been affected because of its length. It would have performed better if it was shorter. So we just need to find a nice balance I think
@@LT99_ I do touch on that in the video...honest answer is you'd need 3d motion to properly understand that. Possibly path but I've seen plenty of people with his exact delivery numbers who are super efficient. Some people are just better at producing that more efficient blow.
Provided you are centre striking it - Dynamic loft and AoA relationship as well as face to path is huge for transfer. If you hit you hit up on it with neutral FTP and less dynamic loft, the energy transfer is money every time
@@epgolfstudios scratch on the bottom and a scratch on the face only played twice with it weather it was a bit of mud on the tee I don’t know apart from that brilliant driver

On the ones where he leaves the face open yes but when Josh managed to square the face the loft was actually quite low. And efficiency still generally remained quite low. So yes absolutely you're correct that would contribute but there were still other things occurring I would say.
I put a poll out on insta about this and was very surprised by 75% of people saying this length is absolutely fine. I will be doing some short video testing soon, but unfortunately it seems your opinion sits in the minority category.

These videos serve more than one purpose, obviously they inform the viewer, one persons long winded, is essential information to others.
