Thanks a lot Jake for the demonstration. I'll definitely be trying the Double Fluke rig out. I pour my own 5" Flukes baits with a mold & plastic. Now I have a Double Chance of Catchin Bass.
Those kvd ewg grip pin hooks have been my fav ewg hooks for 4 or 5 years. Only thing i do different is i will add rattles to the bellys of the flukes if the waters more stained than usual as well as add some chartreuse to the bellys of the flukes. Ive also tried using a hook with a tiny bit of belly weight to it for the fluke that sits behind the 2nd to get it down.
Thanks for this valuable information. I love using Zoom flukes and catch fish on them constantly. I use the 3/0 & 4/0 bare hook method but I mainly rig them with the Arkie 1/32 or 1/16 red hook stick bait heads. I rig the the regular way and also wacky style. I do this with differ worms as well.
This is awesome in fall. I tie extra leaders when off the water so I don't have to retie everything if I break off. Saves time on the water. Keep up the good tips Jake.
I like to tie the sliding leader about 14 inches. Then my main leader that ties on to the main line I tie around 8 in. I like to use mono for the sliding leader. And flora for the rest of the rig. I've been fishing this rig for at least 5 years now. It's almost my favorite way to fish a soft plastic stick bait.
Use a smaller fluke in the front. It makes it look like a bigger fish is chasing a smaller fish. Really adds to the response. That rig is deadly. And no one fishes it, so its not like fish see it all the time.
I plan on trying this for the first time tomorrow. He is absolutely right though. You can flat out bomb a caffeine shad. It is my preferred soft jerk bait.
Great video! Is the leader that’s running up and down on the main line completely “free”? No rubber stopper to keep it from going far up on the main line? Sorry for my bad English but I hope you understand what I mean 😅
This rig will not produce the same action trolling. Imparting some action with the rod tip or your retrieve is necessary to get the flukes to dart from side to side.
Great tutorial. I like how at the end you said, "most anglers aren't going to take the time to rig this up". 😂
I sense a new market for pre-tied Fluke Rigs opening up.

Short but awesome tutorials!... thanks TW!
Glad you like them! - TW Staff
It really doesn't take long to rig once you have done it a few times. It's super fun for fall fishing schooling bass. It's almost a topwater!

Never seen this before, will be trying it out soon for sure.

Thanks for explanation on using two separate swivels instead of a three way swivel, great tip.

This technique is a winner!
We hope you put it to good use on the water this season!

Love the double fluke
Thanks a lot for tutorial and explanation.
I will definitely use this rig at my next fishing sessions! 👍👍👍
Glad it was helpful!
Awesome setup!!
Can you water demo the Headbanger Spitfire sometime soon?

Interesting. I’ll have to try that. Keep em coming 🎣
I have to try this with 3
great idea! and it DOES WORK!!!!!

Of course, glad you enjoyed it! Don't forget to let us know if there are any other How-To's you'd like to see covered in the future. - TW Staff

Does this rig cast as well as just a single fluke set up?
Donkey rig. You should try it with 3-in fatty senkos. I did really well last year with them
Does anyone have any experience using this for halibut for inshore or beach casting?
This is great
ole se pueden poner 3 peses en la misma línea ? saludos desde la costa
What can I say. I learned something.
Thank you for watching!
Size Hook Mustad for 5' soft bait?
A Mustad KVD Grip-Pin Soft Plastic Hook in size 4/0 was used for this video, but a 3/0 or 5/0 would probably also fit ok.
I don't remember hearing you say if those leaders are mono or flouro , which was it? and, any thoughts on using 1 mono and 1 flouro ?
Pretty good idea to have one float more and one sink more
Whatever you want, if you want it to sink faster use flouro, if you want it more top use mono. I personally do both on flouro.
Visibility is usually the biggest factor in leaders under a few feet long.
What size swivel are you using?
Size #7 Danielson Crane Swivel
@@TackleWarehouse #7 is not an option based on the link you provided in the show notes
Pretty fn sweet Jake.
Gotta rip some lips with that set up.
This has been out for quite sometime.
So?
Can I slow troll with this set up

Been fishing this rig for 30 yrs
Shut it down!(
Wasn’t clear enough
