She wears a Janis Joplin tee-shirt in a recent press conference so I think she'd be up for it. And I detected a strong influence of JJ in some of her singing in Wild Rose. But it would be a shame if she wrecked her voice trying to imitate Joplin's rasp/screech.

A movie that has a similar concept with other movies can still be great if the execution is marvelous and man this movie have a lot of great energy thanks to Buckley

They didn't underestimate her. They worried about how she carried herself and how she couldn't handle bad criticism. She wasn't ready back then for the pressures of the theater. It was 2007! She was a young lady who needed time to hone her craft and build herself and that's Exactly what she did. She was great then and superb now. I'm so glad to see her shine.

I remember it like yesterday, their cruelty to the clearly most talented girl in that competition knew no bounds. No excuses. They were out of line. A weaker kid would have been crushed by their pathetic behaviour.

It's worth your time to watch "I'd Do Anything" (the 2008 reality show to cast the role "Nancy" in a West End revival of "Oliver"). Lots of singing. Jessie ended up in 2nd place out of thousands who auditioned but she should have won.
