I don't know how i stumbled upon the Wild Rose movie, but i watched it and now im a Jessie Buckley fan
same here, totally converted two days ago!
Welcome to the club 👌💚☘️
Me too. I became an instant fan when I watched her movie in Fox Movies 👌 Wow just Wow her acting
😊
The movie is very deep and relatable from so many angles.
This song deserved a Oscar Nomination. Jessie is such a talent.
Who’s here after it WON BEST SONG at the Critics Choice Awards??? 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Shame on the distributor Neon for not distributing the movie better in the U.S. Only reached 190 screens. So many people only now discovering the film and the amazing performances by Jessie and Julie. Wonderful screenplay by Nicole Taylor. Looking forward to Jessie in Misbehaviour, Ironbark and especially Fargo Season 4 and her leading performance in Charlie Kaufman's I'm Thinking of Ending Things based on Iain Reid's unforgettable novel.
It didnt get an oscar nom, shame on the academy.
As a proud Glasgow citizen, this always makes me cry of happiness.
From Chernobyl to here. She really is going on a winning streak. So proud 🙏
She the character who was pregnant right. I had no idea that was her.
One of the best songs I’ve heard in years, gives me goosebumps.
Yep she can actually sing.
Can't believe it was written by Mary Steenburgen from Back To The Future.
@@chriswhamilton Steenburgen is a legend already, let's not forget that she's an Academy Award Winner too
I WANT TO SEE THIS SONG NOMINATED AT OSCARS
Duh , bit late for that
Incredible Actress...... Incredible Singer...... Simply Real Magic!!!!
Who's in tears? What a great voice!! ❤️
It hits in a different way, for everyone. I'm with you, friend.
אין כמו אימא בעולם!!!!!!!!!
Jessie Buckley is one of the best actress working today. So likeable, so down to earth, so relatable, so funny, so charismatic, so talented, i'm definitely keeping an eye on her
This song should have way way WAY more views than this.
Just you wait. People are slow. A year or two and everyone'll know her!
Can't believe it didn't get an Oscar nom for Best Original Song. Absolutely insane.
What a wonderful song, singer, so proud of you my neighbour in Killarney 👍, John Vaughan gneeveguilla Kerry 🤪
Beautiful song she has an amazing voice made me tearful she is full of soul
Amen to that brother!,,,,,
I hope this film gets some award season recognition
So proud of Jessie Buckley. I'm sure she now realises how lucky she was not to have won that TV competition. She may never have reached the heights that she now deservedly finds herself, where she's proving what a real winner she is. The gift of unanswered prayers.... 🙏
Very very nice
You are so right. Sometimes the biggest gift is not winning.
She didn't win. She came in 2nd.
@@reggaefan2700 That's what Brid said.... "I'm sure she now realises how lucky she was NOT to have won that TV competition."
Totally agree! Have followed her progress since that program, seen her many times live, she is SO SO talented!
I dedicate this to my grandma
It hurts so bad losing her this week
This song makes me cry hard over her
Going up to Glasgow next week. Its the city that has my heart. 🏴
I watched her by "accident", on Colbert. I'm in love. What a voice. She's a real treasure.
I just finished watching that show. I was floored by Jessie. What a talented being. She hit me right in the solar plexus. 💜🇨🇦
Me Too. Amen
Quel talent!
@@claudiegloro2317 Jessie Buckley m'a rendue au larmes plusieurs fois, quel film incroyable.
Makes me cry every damn time and gives me goose bumps... this is SUCH a great song!!!! Jessie Buckley you are a genius and a fantastic singer.
This needs millions of views
For the first time in many years I cried watching a film
Only Glaswegians will understand the pull that your home town has
Glaswegians I love you all
Stand tall
No, Detroit is like that. People don't understand how the grime and the crime and the struggle makes you stronger and makes the bonds stronger. I'm proud to be from the dirty D. The grit gets in your heart and there is nothing like it anywhere else. I've been from Athens Georgia to Athens Greece, From Louisville to London and sometimes I'm away for years but the Motor City is in my soul. Yes it's a fucking cesspool but it's my cesspool and I know that if I can survive as a ginger in Brightmoor, I can survive anywhere.
markbrave So so true my friend, tears are flowing for my beautiful Glasgow 💙🏴
Just the West Coast, I miss it every day xx
markbrave trackie bottoms and buck fast
Mat Chavez racist cops nut jobs running about with semi automatic rifles and religious nut jobs and trump sorry pal you’re country is corrupt
No place like home, I’ve been all over the world but can’t wait to get back to Glasgow,, like a magnet 🏴🤷🏻♂️
Best Irish singer/voice I've heard since Mary Black... Jessie's up there with the best...
How the hell did this song not WIN the Oscar this year much less get nominated?! It’s better than all five of the nominees in 2019!
Because the Oscars is about promoting hollywoo, not about what is 'the best' of anything.
Yeah it has more depth and tenderness than the trite that won.
Indeed. Glasgow or stand up from. Harriet should had won, nit Elton John again.
I've worn out the stones in front of your doorstep
Coming and going, coming and going
You left the lights on, I always knew that
I should've said "thank you" a thousand miles ago
But I pushed you away, put a pin in a map
Then I got lost in the storm
[Chorus]
Had to find my own way, make my own mistakes
But you know that I had to go
Ain't no yellow brick road running through Glasgow
But I found one that's stronger than stone
Ain't no place like home, ain't no place like home
[Verse 2]
Moon hanging low over my window
Shoebox of dreams hid under my bed
Follow the bright light city of gold
I had to leave to realize all I needed was here
But mama, we both know that there's nothing
That a little time and Patsy Cline wouldn't fix
[Chorus]
Had to find my own way, make my own mistake
But you know that I had to go
Ain't no yellow brick road running through Glasgow
But I found one that's stronger than stone
Ain't no place like home, ain't no place like home
I'll just click my heels three more times
There it all is, what's always been mine
[Chorus]
Ain't no yellow brick road running through Glasgow
But I found one that's stronger than stone
Ain't no place like home, ain't no place like home
Ain't no place like home, ain't no place like home
[Outro]
Ain't no place like home, ain't no place like home
merci !
Why do idiots feel the need to post the fuckin lyrics to songs? Arseholes.
Jessie Buckley ? I never heard of her or her singing/acting until I was surfing on Instagram & ran across her singing in a ‘Wild Rose’ clip. I then was awestruck by her voice and did a Wikipedia search. Didn’t realize she is an accomplished actress as well. Anyway her singing voice brings tears to my eyes. Absolutely beautiful singing voice & lady 🎤🎶👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼💓💓💓 Portland Oregon USA 🇺🇸
Absolutely nailed it, Brandon 🎯👌 Queensland, Australia ⛱️🇦🇺
Я только в чера смотрел фильм с её ролью потрессающея актриса Даже не знал не слышал не видел до вчерашнего вечера.
Lived 10 years in Glasgow. It never leaves you. Beautiful song.
Bog Splash lived there 15 years and you’re right....becomes part of you..... it’s the people
You're well out of it now believe me. Shithole.
Loved her version of this at the BAFTA awards, a moving rendition of this song
Its on the Oscar shortlist - would be cool to see Jessie perform at the Oscars.
I am the most senical person on earth and this movie had me crying my eyes out. Amazing movie and incredible performance.
Congratulations for the victory in the critics choice award
What a talent, Jessie could easily go on to eventually win the big four, Emmy, Grammy, Tony and Oscar.
One of the best movie of the year !!
Born and bred in Glasgow, it will always be where my heart is kept no matter where it is I end up in the world
I have only discovered "Wild Rose" from an email advertisement: watched the preview and gave the movie a watch. Wow, I was impressed. Everything that makes us human was there: Our flaws, our struggles, our overcoming--everything! This song, this moving ballad speaks directly to the heart, speaks directly to the human spirit! Indeed, a song well sang, Ms. Rose-Lynn Harlan (aka, Ms. Jessie Buckley)!
This is probably one of the best "A Star Is Born" stories. Some people might have an issue this taking the concept of A Star Is Born, but honestly I'm fine with it. As long as it's executed it very well and it's well acted, it shouldn't be a problem. I can still enjoy this movie without thinking too much about A Star Is Born. And I'm sad that this movie had very little marketing because it's a British movie, this is an underrated gem
@@Bjork4s Yes, an underrated gem, indeed!
Her voice 😍😍 her accent 😍 her lips 😍😍😍 AND THOSE EYES that just convey bittersweet love and pain. I'm so in love with her.
She's actually Irish but put on a really good glaswwgen voice
As a country music lover, this is the best movie in my life
Jessie Buckley hits it out of the park, with Wild Rose ! Beautiful and Raw !
Mary Steenburgen is a genius, this song is yours
In my top 3 movies of 2019 easy. I've cried several times during this wonderful thing.
obsessed with Jessie's voice.
Glasgow....love you, always have always will....❤️❤️❤️❤️
Beautiful song 🎶💞🎼 Great vocals 🎵
Saw her on RTÉ Late Late Show, moved me to tears, like only the Irish can do
Cmon the weegies , only heard this on the BAFTA's last night , just wow
Amazing movie and soundtrack... Jessie Buckley is a treasure!
Gosh she's amazing
Tha baftas brought me here, one of the most beautiful songs of 2019, and it was never nominated for an oscar 🤷♂️, I'm glad she got the chance to sing the song at the baftas, just shows how bad the discontent with the old decision makers are, with the real people who watch the movies, I'm gutted, but happy its out there to see ☺️ Make your own decisions people xx
I wasn't expecting to find such a talented singer
I'm so glad that she won Best Actress, though. Freaking Star.
Available on Amazon Prime. I loved it! 👍
@@siribaimusic she's as good a singer as you could hope to hear I only got to hear her when she was recommended to me , my da thought it was Joan Baez I love Joan Baez but Jessie doesn't need to pause for air
Cheers from Indonesia !!!
Just saw the movie. Wow. Shes a movie star, a rock star, and and a tour de force. This is a rare Streisand and Streep that only happens a few times in a lifetime....
damn U make me cry!!! 💎💎💎💎💎
To my surprise, Mary Steenburgen was one of the writers of this amazing song. The talents some people have!
her 2nd oscar is coming
Living in a small country side, Had make mistakes several times in a life time connects me to this song. In the end there's no place like home. Love the song. Thank you Mary Steenburgen for this song and Jessie Buckley for bringing it to life.
I just cried my eyes out during the movie
Ooh 😍😍😍 the voice
San Bernardino California
Heaven Bound thank you JESUS
I'M here because actor Ted Danson just shared this video link on Twitter. I'm a Glasgwegian and it's my first time hearing this. In love with it already.
Thanks much, Ted. ✌️ #IBelongToGlasgow 🏴
Last time I listened to this song I was home. now I'm more than 5k miles away and it hurts to be so far away from the persons that I love. I've always cried whenever I listened to it but now it just hits different. Those who have their loved ones next to them be sure to cherish them as much as you can.
I've vaguely been aware of Jessie Buckley. I've seen her name on a couple of films. But what a beautiful voice she has.
This young artist right here..👏👏hands down .Facts!
What a great sound track,im so pleased you didnt win that musical telly series, this is where you are shining ,,,,,a great singer ,country music suits you
Jessie, I first saw you on "Taboo"...totally fell in love with you. And now to find out you have a voice like an angel....I am a total fan. You are the real deal, Girl...love, love, love you!

What a great movie, so down to earth and real
Rolled a tear, good woman Jessie... keep it lit
Jessie, is a girl at the pinnacle of her talent, great singer, actress, who morphs into her parts with consummate ease. Rock on babe !!!! You beautiful Irish Rose 🌹☘️
Fantastic movie, script, soundtrack and performances. Song must be nominated for an Oscar. My favourite film from TIFF. Proud to be screening it as part of the TIFF Film Circuit at Ancaster Film Fest. Jessie Buckley is a star ... check out her pervious film Beast and watch for her upcoming films with Keira Knightley, Robert Downey Jr., Renee Zellweger and Benedict Cumberbatch. Also her TV miniseries Taboo, War and Peace and Woman in White. She's breaking out big time with the movie and beyond.
I concur
Saw this movie tonight. So. Damn. Good. How is this woman not a household name? An absolutely fabulous talent on so many levels.
This was a awesome movie..and what a great voice.....
Oscar winning performance
Wow! What a voice. My Scottish sisters and niece saw the movie this afternoon...loved it so they steered me here.
Great movie and great song, cross fingers that the song gets the Oscar nomination.
:(
Trippin that Mary Steenburgen wrote this..
Just watched the last episode of The Good Place, reading an interview with Ted Danson in Entertainment Weekly, discover his wife was the music teacher, discover that she is Mary Steenburgen (I don't do celebrity news...), check wiki to see what she's been up to since... Philadelphia, stumble across this song, google it.
I should add, I'm from Glasgow.
God bless the internet.
SAME!
Mary had serious help in the form of the in comparable Caitlyn smith.. I've only seen her perform this once.. If Caitlyn ever records this it will be the definitive version... She is one of the best singers on the planet.
I only know her from Curb.....and feel the exact same way! :o)
She has many unsung talents. Countless others do as well...
Amazing. Clara Clayton brought me here today. Better late than never. Fantastic
Home is not just a place it is the people that stay with you that make a home special.❤
I miss Home. There aint no place like Home.😊🎉❤ Glasgow Girl Here in Dayton Ohio.🎉 i used to party in the Grand ole Opery in Glasgow Scotland!!!😅😅 My. passport and ID was stolen in 2019. REMEMBER POLLOCK PARK??? God told me no wizard going to get you home me and you will do it child.😊❤🎉
Beautiful movie and talented actress-singer.
Jessie sings with her heart 💓🎶🎶🎶✌️
Omg... SHE IS FKN AWESOME
I'm not a country music fan, but two of my favorite songs of all time are country songs first being a ballad old school style song (Shelby Lynne's "I need a heart to come home to") and an alt-country song (Cowboy Junkies "Misguided Angel"). I got nearly a powerful a reaction listening to this song.
It goes to show you that music fans don't love Genre's, they love Songs and even Artists.
Watched Wild Rose this songs amazing 💗

I am not from glasgow at all but the movie is just so great, touching and that song move me a lot. After all we all feel somewhere at home and there is no place like it. 🥰
Great actress and I had no idea she could sing! Wonderful!

She better do more that war and peace and chernobyl shes a major movie star.
Jessie Buckley.. Such a talented actress and amazing singer. And the backing band. Well ye cannae any better than them. ❤🎶🏴
This song MUST be at the Oscars. Jessie must be heard by everyone. I don't care if the song wins, because those awards are nothing for the real cinema right now, but her voice must be heard. Love you, Messy Jessie. ❤
Ariadne Rimbaud Messy Jessie, perfect. Thank you from a Glasgow guy. Spread the word about this movie and it’s wonderful star, she’s Irish but us Irish & Scots are like twins. My dad was Irish & my mum was Scottish. 🏴🇮🇪
Hi Adriane, funny story in my life many years ago re the "Messy Jessie" thingy you called her. I have a daughter Jessie about 10 years older than Jessie Buckley, so when she was a little tot she had and stilll does have beautiful dark curly almost ringlets hair and today she has two little tots of her own as well as being an artist /painter and grafic designer with her own business. Sorry went off track there, Hah! No, she was always Messy when she was little, at times a little untidy etc. So we tagged her "Messy Jessie" all the time and it stuck to the point of when she grew up into a young woman, (and she was cool with it all) she was just Messy! that's how we addressed her at home. So when her better half came along and before they were married, he, on her 21st birthday surprised her with personalised number plates for her car which she still has over 20 yrs later, and you guessed it..........MESSY. Cheers!!
A real gem this lady is. Superb singing as well as acting skills.
I honestly cant listen to this song till the end it turns me into an emotional wreck mystical stuff.😉👍
WOW and what a lump came to my throat when I saw the final sequence in the Old Glasgow Fruit Market. My very first job back when a wee boy was to wash one of these signs from the top of a loaded potato lorry.. No H&S in these days. Wonderful music and wonderful memories.
I first saw Jessie Buckley sing the EmmyLou Harris classic Boulder to Birmingham on the Late Late Show several weeks ago, and was totally blown away by her voice. Then I went to see Wild Rose and was amazed by her acting and singing. Truly a star is born. Can't wait to hear and see more of her awesome talent.
Beast, Taboo, War & Peace, Woman in White, Chernobyl and to come The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle, Judy, Misbehavior , Ironbark, I'm Thinking Ending Things...
Have seen the film 3 times now. Gets me every time. Amazing film
She is gorgeous! I saw her in the movie Judy and now I'm going to see the Wild Rose.
"I should've said "thank you" a thousand miles ago" - That always gets me. That's where it becomes damn personal. It hurts like hell but damn do I love it.
This made me cry 😢
Great performance from Jessie Buckley. Brilliant! Loved the songs and the story.
Just watched the movie last night. What a great flick. Never heard of Jessie Buckley, but now I am a fan.
Beautiful song she has an amazing voice
C'est le meilleur film que j'ai pu suivre 😭😭😭 j'ai trop aimé ❤️❤️❤️😢
Jessie you’re a beautiful singer and Tis true there’s no place like home. I’m homesick for Donegal in Ireland. Love this song and lots of good luck 💚🇨🇮☘️☘️☘️☘️
Amazing
