About The Expanse Season 3 Trailer
Hundreds of years in the future, humans have colonized the solar system. The U.N. controls Earth. Mars is an independent military power. The planets rely on the resources of the Asteroid Belt, where air and water are more precious than gold. For decades, tensions have been rising between these three places. Earth, Mars and the Belt are now on the brink of war. And all it will take is a single spark.

Such a clever series, right from the start, love the atmosphere, the characters (and very talented actors), one of my top 3 SF series ever! I can't wait!!

Gotta love how the book characters are created so well in the show... And the fact that they're maintaining their personality and not actually spoiling some of the book-related-action, but rather create totally different play-outs and character development, just wow. I'm watching the show and am currently on the 3rd book and am totally amazed how although they both follow the main plot, the character development still remains the same, but the action sometimes totally differs from the books. I don't feel that I'm missing out on anything, whether I read or watch the series first.

There are some shows that get to be less exciting the further along it goes. Heroes was one of them, Lost followed soon after. This show keeps amping it up. The whole cast is wonderful. The special effects are believable. Science Fiction writing at it’s finest.

This is the game of thrones of scifi. Not as good as the books but still the best in its genre on tv.
There are actually some elements of the show I think they improved on over the book, like Bobbie's defection and Naomi's attempt to rescue people on Gamymede
Blasphemy, I know, but I honestly prefer the show. The writers are directly responsible for the show though - it's not someone else's interpretation, which is why it's so good.

I think the first two seasons wrapping up _Leviathan Wakes_ and the first parts of _Caliban's War_ were more intricate in a sense. It was good we had Avasarala in the show from the start and I liked the show version better of how Bobbie came to her. Little things like Bobbie running through the Mars/UN border and kneeling in front of the UN Marines, hands in the air, shouting "My name is Gunnery Sergeant Roberta Draper and I am asking for political asylum on Earth!" Or when Avasarala was interrogating the OPA prisoner or when she stayed behind in her office, last man standing, while Eros was falling towards Earth.
Some things are better or more dramatic in the books or more _diagusting,_ (Eros shitshow oh God) some things are better in the series but all in all I like the books' expanded character roster and all the intricate details - And I also like the layered politics and dynamics of the series.
They brought in Drummer very early.
They left out Sam Rosenberg (so far).
The show did justice to Bobbie and all the casting is on point.
But anyways the show hasn't had time to unfold so much yet. We're still in early CW in the storyline. Let them do their thing :)
I like what they've done w/ the belter "creole". In fact, the authors recommend using the show's belter as cannon
for me, the Best Sci Fi series since Babylon 5 :)

looks to be an awesome season, can't wait and I hope it will not be the last season as they cancel so many great shows last year.
I've read all seven books (no spoilers), and if they stick true to the way they've been adapting it so far, we're looking at a potential classic work of television that will be talked about for a very, very long time after it wraps.
really hope that they do that many series SYFY is retarded sometimes and cancels series out of nowhere ..
yup that's the best thing of it all, the series really got me when they injected that substance when they accelerated. binged watched it from that moment forward :) .

That already started when Eros decided to ignore physics and just moved out of the way at the end of Leviahan Wakes. Many things related to the protomolecule defy what we (and the characters) know about physics. That's why it makes everything so interesting, being set in such a "hard" sci-fi setting.

Amazing this show has lasted on Syfy, a network FAMOUS for putting the ax to great TV shows. Eureka, Warehouse 13, Stargate Universe, and now Dark Matter. If anyone wants their show to survive for more than a couple of years, they are better off shopping it to Netflix. That being said, this trailer looks epic and I cannot wait to see the new season.!!!
I think Eureka and W13 both ran out of steam tbh, they did go on for a long time! SGU and Dark Matters cancellations were tragic though.
Still way better than FOX canning "Firefly" before one season aired.

I love the show, amd i love the fact that the belters have a different dialect than the inners, it makes it seem so much more realistic since even people in different states use different dialects, granted its not as extreme as the belters but yeah.

Obviously, they cant show anything of AG without spoiling the end of CW. So the trailer mostly shows us the Io campaign.
I have to admit, this series is the believable! Forget the Jedi knight stuff or the fancy warp drives... this series is the best SF I've ever seen (sorry Firefly, I love ya but the Expanse is just whoa!!)

Well, the protomolecule is going to do another thing this season that relates to Mass Effect. I'm guessing it'll happen at the end of Episode 6 judging from the cast list.
The overall theme of the Expanse is just what mankind tends to do when it finds advanced alien tech.

Visually stunning series, but I never got into it. Truth be told, the pilot episode was a test of endurance for me; I kept falling asleep.
Oh come on, you just need to push trough it. I know the first half of season 1 is a slog but you'll be surprised to see that show you didn't like at the pilot become what it is.
It has won the second place in a previously unknown category at the Hugos. There is no way you can call it an Hugo award winner. But you did.

When will this show up in my amazon prime list? Just found out I was getting charged $150, so I started binging the first two seasons to make myself feel like I was wasting my money so much.

13 episodes on the Battle over Io? Extremely unlikely. Expanse trailers tend to only show material from the first few episodes.
I'm guessing that it's either gonna end with them going through the gate, or the sudden reduction in the speed limit. So far, they've got things staggered so the book finale hits in the middle of the season

Show that just needs to improve physical combat scenes to be more realistic, other than that fantastic... Was looking for a long time something that's going to keep my attention extremely high like Battlestar Galactica, at least close
I agree, especially hand-to-hand combat. In the Season 2 Finale I was a bit disappointed in Draper's limited action in the power armor. Hopefully Season 3 will feature more gunfights and other forms of small-scale combat.
Anon E. Mus Gunfight in a spaceship is not a good idea. You mised the oponent, or bullet came trough him and hit fragile ship component like window, they are not made of magic forcefields as in startrek, then explosive decompresion, and you bacame small icy asteroide.
I noticed that small arms have very weak penetration when it comes to ship and station interiors but you make a fair point that Draper's chain gun is most likely designed for vacuum combat with rounds designed to penetrate armor.
Agree! aAlmost perfect and there are closing it? Morons - syfy is converting into sissy fantasy channel instead of sci-fi.
