Hi folks, am happy to learn you enjoyed the episode on this snacky Belagavi tradition. Whilst all of you seem to have liked our presentation of the Alepak, there are some who have expressed their displeasure over the manner in which the establishment’s staff asked me to speak in Hindi when I attempted a conversation with him. Whilst I appreciate your many perspectives, I would like to also present here a couple of thoughts for your consideration: The person that I spoke to didn’t seem to be the owner, but a staff member who was perhaps not native to the region, which isn’t uncommon in the service industry or any other field for that matter. And many are unable to speak Kannada, you will find that not just in Belagavi, but also in Bengaluru. Whilst the tone of the individual may have seemed brusque, and I would attribute that perhaps to the temerity of youth, he was only making a request for me to speak in a language he would perhaps be able to communicate with me better. And a camera does make people nervous. 🙂 I have heard from numerous comments in the video and elsewhere subsequently that the owners of the establishment and many of the staff members speak Kannada when spoken to in the language, so perhaps this instance with me may have been an aberration. So I personally wouldn’t hold anything against the place. As a story teller I seek to understand the story well whoever I may be speaking to, and I find people are able to convey their heart when one is communicating in a language they are most comfortable with. Therefore, I try to speak in the language that the people I speak to can, of course, subject to my ability to do so. I don’t let ego come in the way of that. Last but certainly not the least, our objective is to convey the rich culinary stories of our land to the world in a language that is universally understood. It is also my belief that the love for food transcends borders and differences, food has the beautiful ability to bring people together no matter where we come from, and therefore we should joyously celebrate it any manner we can. Happy eating!

Kripal sir you should have not made video on their restaurant. They’re arrogant and no respect about kannadigas. They have put hindi in their board first rather than kannada. Such an attitude restaurant owner.
This place is amazing! Has a special place in our heart. Miss those amazing days and Alipak with Usacha ras.
Thank you Sheetal juice center for the amazing experience.
Kripal I love ur broad-minded maturity...but plz dnt give up kannada heritage... when they are here let them behave..cheers
Well said...they ought to learn to behave well!!
Sir there are many uttara Karnataka rotti uta hotels in belgavi please visit any good one.
Im a regular visitor there...the food is good....they ask in Marathi....i always speak in kannada.....Everybody there knows Kannada....and understands...But in front of camera ....They are behaving as if they don't know Kannada at all.....
Ungrateful, Uncivilized customer service...Had it been here in Florida, He would have been sued in Local district courts for such arrogant service for a million dollar atleast in compensation and customer misbehavior!!
❤
Super... Unique snack... Happy u hv hold on multiple languages... Did not know u speak Marathi so well...
Please see his arrogance towards language which he opted to conversation. Kripal sir well started in Kannada that guy intentionally rejected to talk in kannada. It seems to me. Not an issue just an observation....
He lacks humility and politeness...looks at his insolent, arrogant, condescending attitude...disgraceful!!!
He is sick minded. 😀 Don't wants to use Kannada but wants to do business here. useless fellow.. if he is so hatred towards Kannada and peoples here.let him go to his state.
@@vijayrangarajanramakrishna318 so true.
Are you dumb or what? cant you see he SAID sir hindi me boliye na to kripal sir !!
he could have said something more rude and harsh
The problem is not with him its with you , people like you just POINT OUT THE LITTLE MISTAKES OF OTHERS AND UNNCESSARILY CREATE AN IMAGE OF HATRED TOWARDS em.
plz stop it!! now Many people hold a grudge against him for that.😣
@@travellerextraordinnaire7388 it's wrong too. They should give preference to local language first as they are earning and leaving there. If Shetty's does same to Marathi in Maharashtra then it shows their cheap mentality.
You should taste tomato omlet and pulav in magestic hotel in fort road belagavi
When ever kripal sir says mmm means the dish is passed
And he also says a long AAAAAAANNN thats how its made....
@@SatishKumar-ut4pu That's my favorite 😂
Is this belagavi or Maharashtra ? I don't understand the situation there
Kripal sir you truly are a gem❤️ Bringing back to me the fond memories of my dear Belagavi...this place was located just next door and was our forever hangout. He has improvised his glasses and plates though after lockdown perhaps😅
Sir i guess you missed out on a couple of places.
Purohit kunda, sarlai mandige , balu vada pav , ambika chaat etc.
Pls do visit again to cover the places😀
Kindly post all the list and locations eateries that you visited in Bangalore. So we can try and have some great meal 🙏
Though the food seems interesting, the hospitality seems very unpleasant. Its not even the joint is flooded and the servicemen are busy. Show some love and interest in your customers dude. I hope the owner takes note of this and improve. Good review Kripal sir as always.
Yes true
Those doing business should b polite and know kannada Marathi Hindi...Looks like He doesn't want kannada customers..Not intersted to respond even a single word in Kannada.sad..
Ur best no comparison
You know you are in Belagavi when rain slides down your windshield 😄
Well Kripal Sir please do try Belagavi Kunda. Never miss that. The making of Kunda itself is so wonderful.
Belgavi is my native place Sir. Very happy to see you sir. Alipak n sugarcane juice is most favorite for us.
Belagaavi is very well part of Karnataka and sad to know locals can't even understand and converse basic Kannada baashe.
True...
And when you see that guy with nasty attitude says "thoda hindi me baat kariye to chalta __"...
@@rameshrnayak Very true..😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
Childhood memories r soooooper. This sugarcane and alipak took me to my past time spent with my grandmother and family at belgaum.
This place didn't really needed an episode from Food lovers TV purely the way he greeted a customer, Language is secondary.. Wrong choice
Exactly!!
No doubt can't agree more
These peoples are cheap and has peanut size brains. 😂 Cheap hatred towards another language.
@@kvgirish100 it's basically high handedness and lack of education. I have so many friends from Belagavi and they speak Marathi and Kannada with me without any remorse. I speak Tulu in Kasargod and even Gujarati in Mumbai. No one behaves this uncultured. I ended my video in less than 2 minutes. I think some guys over there are victims of insecurity..Period
Kripal sir you will be having outside food regularly how will you manage yourself with stomach trouble 🙂
People from Non - karnataka states didn't have an inkling of the how diverse and discerning are the dishes in karnataka. Thank you for showing us real Karnataka. You're a wonderful teacher.
Sir is all-rounder . How many language you know sir?
This video of yours is going viral now in Goa and now overseas as this juice and alipak has a very soft spot for a lot.
Thank you, Prasad, am happy to learn this.
Sir how many languages do you speak
Excellent Marathi.
Hi sir you must visit khaukatta of belagaum..pls visit khaukatta also called Tinisu katte.
Being in karnataka he says to speak in different language. Though they know kannada intentionally they speak in another language.

@@user-qi4mg8fn8t My mother tongue is Kannada but I speak Marathi very well but some of my friends have been in Belagavi since childhood but they don't speak Kannada and they don't try to learn kannada and they disrespect kannada and kannada speaking people.
@@kannadainfotainer9732 Yes you are right. One of the reason is the opressive karnataka govt. And one example I can give for this is changing the name of the city to belagavi which was uncalled for.

Sir plz inform when you visit Malavalli next time please
8:07 u make me remember of Sihi Kahi Chandru.
All menu is without onion garlic??
Thanks for sharing a different dish. And also happy to hear marathi from u.

Kripaal Please You must try Belagavi Kunda and Kardant (from Gokak) , Belagavi is foodies paradise , three state melting point Karnataka, Maharashtra and Goa
Kripal changlich Marathi bolta ho... You took me back to my Belgaum days... Thank you 😊
You are brand ambasador of Karnataka cousine...You are the best
Hi sir I m from mutaga.... which the place he told.... I m always happy to see your evry episode sir.... all the best 👍 👌 ... keep doing it sir
surprising , that the owner asks to speak in hindi or marathi in karnataka
They need to be kicked from all angles.
Thats sad actually. And ww may also be responsible for it atleast partially , not having an eye on world around us and not caring what the region needs Along wuth our poltical leadership. And stubborn attutude of the so called "marathi" people of the place, so called because no one was,is and will be born with any language as they think they might be doing a great service.
@@rameshjayanivas you should be kicked from here
Belgaum is disputed district for a reason ;)

His attitude in speaking starting felt me not to visit this place. Being in Karnataka his attitude is terrible
Sorry bro; This guy maybe from North, they don’t know how to speak to a customer. They are more language oriented; Krupal went to wrong place but you can get better sugarcane milk in other places as-well in Belagavi.
Yes you are right, if they dont respect kannada in Karnataka then we should not support them.
