Somehow though, we know that if BTS did submit one of their masterpeices in Korean the Grammys would have ignored it so at the end of the day, y'all are right. Haha sad.

BTS (in my opinion) should have also been nominated for best record/song of the year for their song Dynamite.
that was my thoughts too. everyone else from that category was a duo n then there was bts. it should have been best record/song of the year cus that song stays on every single day.
Also MOTS:7 should've been nominated along with After Hours. Both albums were extremely successful and critically acclaimed, yet Changes and Yummy get noms :/
same reason why BTS is never nominated in big categories in other award shows, they simply don't want to put "outsiders" in the same category of big western artist even though those "outsiders" are outselling most of those artists. Also the fact that they are korean and a "boy band". Even though they are producers/songwriters themselves and some of the most amazing lyricists I have ever seen, the industry doesn't care because it's in korean and reading english translations is too much to them and on top of that, being labeled as a boy band doesn't help because of all the trash stereotypes. BTS have the second best selling album in pure sales in the US this year (critically acclaimed too), best selling album of the year worldwide, best performing pop song on the charts (Dynamite, 3 weeks at #1) and are pulling numbers that only A list western artists can pull and are doing so in the US which isn't their home country but are still not acknowledged. They said in an interview that they are treated like aliens by the industry and you can clearly see it if you pay enough attention.

@@YN-wo8rd I haven’t seen the other songs live other than rain on me (and I did like that song and performance) but they performed dynamite like 30 times and each time it’s different and something totally unique. Bts are probably like top 5 best performers in the industry so if the Grammys decide to fuck around and not give them the win, we all know why. But I mean truthfully I think we all also know that nobody else should win this award but you know the Grammys love disappointing people!!
@@Maddie-nx3hb I completely agree!! They are some of the best performers in the industry, but I want to see what else they can do. They have really amazing choreographies. I learned the whole dynamite chorus dance by watching it 5 times. It’s really easy. Other dances are more fun and more challenging.

John Legend and H.E.R are grammy darlings so I wasn't surprised by their nominations. The albums from the men in that category made no noise this year with the exception of Giveon. The women carried R&B this year. Are they serious???
