A lot of Muffs are different; this one sounds thin and too trebly at anything other than tone full off, at home volume levels, and the volume and sustain are full up so that they match the others (though that didn't come across that well in the video). Gig settings would be different, if I used it (which I don't, I use an HM2). Thanks for watching. :-)
I have the same exact Big Muff as yours here in this video and mine doesn't sound thin. But it _is_ bassy as all get out and does have _a lot_ of treble though. Must be your amp or pickups.
Is it a 2001 Muff? Later 2007 onwards Muffs are bassier as the circuit and some components are different. I keep meaning to get a Nano Muff, as they have the same later circuit.
Oh yeah, I forgot that the year matters. I know mine's from the 2010's, but I don't feel like taking it apart again to find out the exact date. Edit: Never mind. Found out it says it on the box and that it's from 2015.
I run an SG with a Dimarzio super distortion pickups and a muff. Best sound I ever had..sometimes I use a fulltone fulldrive 2 going into the muff for extra saturation but the muff has never failed me. I'm curious about the earthquaker hoof though.
Retro Electro is on Facebook, (I've not been on for years though, so I'm assuming the chap still is). He also has pedals for sale on eBay from time to time. Thanks for watching.
this comparison had the potential to be great but the settings on the pedals were completely off. would have been much better if you just left them neutral. still gave a like for the effort though.
Maybe you should show everyone how to do it? This is not meant to be professional, the pedals are not stuck down because they are not what I use on my board.
That Fuzz Face sounds sick for Doom/Stoner rock. It sizzles, melts and rips.
The Raygun Tone Bender clone was my favorite.
Another good pedal for this type of music is a Mosrite Fuzzrite. It has an interesting upper mid-range bite and it has a sort of spitting fuzz sound.
Your Big Muff settings hurt my soul. :,(

Far right or far left are my 2 faves. Nice doom!
hmmm.... Proco Rat into Muff is immense. you should try that
I like it the other way around
The superboss would be killer black metal but not stoner really
It's really scooped in the midrange, but it has a ton of low end that doesn't come through on the video, unfortunately.
Raw Heart by ToneWorks blows them all away.
Doom/slugde metal com single coil its my dream
The fuzz face sounds very angry
Fuzzface FTW!
I would kill for that Superboss pedal. Is it available by any chance ANYWHERE? thanks! great video.

@@baldyhead Thanks!!
Sounds like a UFO not fuzz

is your hm2 made in japan or taiwan?
I have five HM2s, three are Japanese, I think this was one of those but I'm not certain. Thanks for watching.
which amp? it's totally clean or you're using it as a boost?
also i know it might sound stupid but i'm curious about a singlecoil + fuzz combination to play with a little palm muting, could it work?
The amp is a Sound City 2X12 combo set clean.
In my opinion palm muting works to a degree, but it won't give you a tight sound for metal, if you know what I mean.
i mean more as a punk-esque feel, thanks!
I guess it could work. Maybe I'll have to do a video and try a few different fuzzes out with palm muting.

Omg Fix you big muff knobs
If you want a real fuzz, get a fuzz war
Henry Any death by audio pedals really. They're awesome as fuck dude.
Erick Belcher I love death by audio
This is too war 🤣

La próxima busca un guitarrista profesional para que ejecuté el instrumento y asegurar los pedales a la tabla
Maybe you should show everyone how to do it?
