Recruiting is king in the SEC! The hire should be based on the best recruiter. Worst case the following coach would at least have a full cupboard to work with. Ryan Day makes the most sense for me.

How can you post a video including Dan Lanning when he said hours ago that he's staying at Oregon? This show gets pretty ridiculous. Who wants to follow him? Someone who wants to be compared to greatness and has the balls to try, will get the attention and have eyes on them. As Josh Pate put it...an alpha is licking their chops to get that job right now. No, you likely won't be better than Saban, but that's not expected at this point. We just witnessed the greatest college coach in history make is final curtain call, and he's earned that right. Coach, thank you for everything you did for Alabama, and enjoy a well-deserved retirement and time with family that you've missed over the decades.
I honestly thought we'd go 8-4 this year, most honest Alabama fans saw a 3 loss season this year. It's incredible what these boys achieved this year. Bill O'Brien is trash. We'll have regular 4-8 seasons with him. I'd love to see Sark or Kiffin.

You guys didn't mention the track record of any successful coach at Oregon who left Oregon for another job.
It's dismal--at best. Right now it's Chip Kelly at UCLA and Mario Cristobal at Miami. I wouldn't hire either for a mop job and who would hire them for millions? Desparate programs that's who. UCLA won the Rose Bowl in 1979. That's the pinnacle for them. Miami?

I will take Lane Kiffin over Dabo, please Kiffin is a great recruiter, he can get on the same level with the team but they will still know he is the coach. He is a great offensive mind, I was very interested in Dan Lanning but he said no, Kiffin would work, and yes Coach Saban does like Lane Kiffin.

I’d argue coaches should want to replace saban. Les miles built a career off of it by winning a natty with sabans players. Yeah the portal changes it a little bit but if sabans still around lot of players will stay

I agree that it’s not as an attractive job as it seems to be. NIL has changed for coaching as well. As great as Alabama had been they don’t have the Nike money like Oregon, oil money like the Texas schools, or tech money on the west coast.
