Thanks for the update! Just to clarify-does this new feature only allow output selection for the USB-C port? If that's the case, does that mean we can’t record to an SSD from the ATEM while also using the computer for Software Control and Multiview? I want to make sure it's possible to do both at the same time.
It depends what model you have. If you have an ATEM that only has one USB-C port, you can only do one thing with it - either output a video signal or record to a SSD, but it's only one output so you cannot do both at the same time. If you have an extreme model ATEM, it has two USB outputs so you can use one for a video signal and one for the SSD recordings.
Hey have you ever dealt with a sudden “full cache” on your Atem mini pro? Can’t figure out what’s causing it when it was working fine for months on end
Typically no only because I don't use the ATEM's built in encoder. I typically use the Magewell Ultra Encode AIO as it has been more reliable and provides more features for me. But what I will say is that an ATEM can go months on end and be fine but internet connections and networks can change, more IP addresses can be added, etc. so while in some cases the ATEM encoder isn't the greatest, it's worth checking your hardwired upload speeds and ensure your streaming settings in the ATEM software haven't changed since sometimes people do forget to adjust the Streaming Low/med/high settings.
Does this update mean you can now record Program feed to disk via USB and view Multiview from the HDMI out and use Ethernet for network connection? How would you control the ATEM during streaming if recording to disk via USB? Is that a 2-way channel?
@@nakipila1318 this was always the case on the atem mini pro and up. This update doesn’t change that. You were always able to record program to SSD, multiview over hdmi and encode over Ethernet.
