I Was stranded in a huge city I've never been before, waiting over night for the grey hound and i met this old man, claims he just did 15 years in prison, was such a calm and kind person, valued god, family and country for an accused crime he told me was the reason for his incarceration. He showed me this song and told me he and his past love would dance the night away to this song but after he was imprisoned a few years into his time away she stopped coming by and he didn't hear from her for over 10 years... I called him el paso because that's where he was going, he gave me a bible and prayed i would live a long and happy life and not lose everything by simply being at the wrong place at the wrong time.. Its been 2 months, i feel bad after all that time he comes back in 2020... I hope you find peace old man. I will keep this song at heart so long as i live.

Το πρωτοάκουσα την χρονιά που βγήκε, στο λύκειο ήμουν τότε, κι έγινε απ' την πρώτη στιγμή ένα απ' τ' αγαπημένα μου κομμάτια... Δεν περίμενα όμως τόσα χρόνια μετά, οι στίχοι να μ' αγγίζουν ακόμα το ίδιο όπως την πρώτη φορά, κι όμως συμβαίνει... Ίσως γιατί τώρα, τόσα χρόνια μετά, οι στίχοι ν' ανταποκρίνονται περισσότερο στην πραγματικότητα απ' ότι τότε, που απλά ήταν ένα ωραίο, συναισθηματικό τραγούδι απλά. Μια ελαφριά θλίψη για όσα πέρασαν, για όσα περνάνε τώρα κάθε στιγμή και τα προσπερνάμε χωρίς να δίνουμε τη δέουσα σημασία, μιας και δεν θα έχουμε την ευκαιρία να τα ξαναζήσουμε όπως τότε, με την αθωότητα και την απειρία της νιότης που είχαμε... Αυτοί οι εφιάλτες είναι που μας κρατάν άγρυπνους τα βράδια, αναλογιζόμενοι τι κάναμε λάθος στο δρόμο που διαλέξαμε...
Κ γω το πρωτακουσα στο πανεπιστημιο οταν βγηκε. Αμεσως μετα χωρισα με μια απ τις καλυτερες σχεσεις που ειχα γιατι επαιρνα μεταγραφη Αμερικη..... Υποχρεωτικα σταματησα να τ ακουω για να μην τρελαθω. Χτες το επαιξε ενα ραδιο καπου που πηγα να παρω εναν καφε κ το θυμηθηκα.
Τι χρονια κ εκεινα.... Θυμηθηκα την Πλ.Βικτωριας, τοτε που ειχε μοναχα ενα μαγαζι για να κατσουμε κ γυρω υπηρχαν μονο πολυκατοικιες με οικογενιες. Τοτε που περπαταγα την Πατησιων, κανοντας τρακα καμια φορα που ξεμενα απο τσιγαρα κ ακουγα μονο ελληνικα. Τοτε που αυτος ο δισκος δεν υπηρχε στα δισκαδικα κ επρεπε να τον βρεις "εισαγωγης".
Τριαντα χρονια μετα, χωρισμενος δυο φορες, βοηθωντας την πρωην με την υγεια της, ο ιδιος με τρεχαματα υγειας, τα λεφτα χαμενα στα μνημονια κ τα δανεια, κ να κανω ακριβως την ιδια ερωτηση με σενα φιλε μου.... Τι καναμε λαθος? Καναμε κ τιποτα σωστο? Υπαρχει νοημα τελικα? Μπας κ χαθηκε η ευκαιρια?
Ασπρομαλης πλεον, να καθομαι να στεναχωριεμαι μπροστα σε ενα μονιτορ... Ευτυχως που ηρθε κ μου μιλησε η κορη κ ξεκολησα.
Ας ελπισουμε οτι θα ζησουμε αλλα εικοσι χρονια να το ξανακουσουμε τοτε κ να χαμογελασουμε ξανα, εστω με πικρα.
My God, if there ever was a goose-bump song, this one's it.... We should be hearing this one so often on the radio....but it WILL be rediscovered by the new generation and get the admiration and appreciation it so greatly deserves. And what a singer, boy oh boy....

This song is in the trio of : Love Hurts..Still Loving you... and this one Never Ending Nightmares... What a sensitive and heart hurting song this is.. The voice..Longing..Hurt.. So many men can relate to this.

When I was teenager my big brother borrowed a MSG cd with this song on it. I really liked it and for years I tried to figure out the name of the group and song, having simply forgotten about it. After six years of searching I finally found it on import order from Japan. Was so worth the cost based on what a average cd is in my own country.
+Murkelost79 - When I was like 9 or 10, I used to borrow all my older brothers music. Then one day after school, he was all of a sudden into rap, lol. I realized then that it was time for me to start buying my own tapes. My very first tape my parents bought for me was Def Leppard 'Hysteria'. I listened to that over and over again and I used to sing along to the whole thing.
Anyway, I remember when this song first came out. I was 11, and I was really starting to get into music (guitar mainly). It was this song that made me realize how much I loved the guitar. I asked my mom for a guitar, and she said only if you take lessons and don't screw around/waste the money. So I did, and now I'm almost 37 and still love playing guitar.
I can still remember the first time I heard this song. I was riding with my friend in the back seat of his parents car. We were driving on the highway with this cassette blasting (It's weird, I can remember exactly what highway and exactly where we were, but I cant remember what I had for dinner 3 nights ago) and the car always had this weird smoke smell, but it wasn't cigarettes. (Lol, it was weed). I knew every time we got in the car and I smelled that smell, there would be some loud good music.
I'm not even sure why I shared all that. Damn I miss being a kid and having no worries.
Good story bro, well worth sharing 8-) Yeah the childhood sure was alot of fun - no issues in the world at all. Only yourself and your space and your stuff.

Lol you'd never believe my second. A cassette of Stryper - 'Soldiers under Command'. My much older cousin gave it to me, he had gotten it when it first came out. There was a lot of good guitar on that tape. I still think they were good songs.
I think I do, or atleast the one making the biggest impression. Several albums on tape with Europe (a swedish oldschool rockgroup) - hint: the final countdown. But they also made alot of other pretty nice songs. I haven't heard of Stryper, ill have to look into it :D

Heard this song right after it came out. A new band I was trying out. Still one of my all time top 5 songs. In a marriage nightmare. Listening to this alot while trying to pick up the pieces of myself so I can move on. But still afraid there may be no tomorrow. Emotional decisions are the hardest to keep from making. This song makes me think twice. Who could ever not want to hear the music. Especially the end solo!!
