One of my childhood friends has two dads. When I asked my mom how come he has two dads when I have a mom and a dad she said “some people just prefer it when their life partner is the same gender as them” and that was perfectly satisfactory for my tiny child brain. You do NOT need to brainwash children with shows about LGBT, it’s simply unnecessary and even traumatic.

That’s how I explain to my kids when these questions come up. It really is very simple… No need to have whole TV shows giving them an education on all the thousands of made up identities there could be in the world. This can be a cross the bridge when you get to it thing.
I was at an Ikea with my 8 year one once and there was a person dressed as a woman who had a 5 o’clock shadow washing her hands in the bathroom. And my daughter whispered to me “why is that man dressed like a lady?”…. She was discreet, and I explained “Honey, that’s how some people choose to dress. Sometimes boys or men feel more comfortable living as a girl or lady.” Oh, OK. Easy peesy.
It's really that simple. And as they grow up and learn more, the fact that you demonstrated it's not a big deal with teach them more actual tolerance than the leftist obsession and inundation with too much information.

THIS. Kids are 100% cool with short, simple, straightforward answers. They don’t care AT ALL unless you encourage them to care. My son asked one day “can two boys get married?” I said yes, most boys prefer to marry girls, but some want to marry boys. The end. My kid said “okay” and that was it. There was no big fuss and he’s never brought it up again. Because again, kids only care about this if you encourage them to care about it.

I will say "hi friend" to someone who i don't see but hear coming if I can't tell who they are, "hi friend" to a friend, or "hi there little friend" to a child when their parents/guardians are present. I work at a confectionary, I see kids who can't read the menu a lot.
But I can't imagine myself trying to have a vulnerable, intimate conversation with a kid who is young enough to be "little friend". Just like I can't bring myself to talk about the sacrifices I chose when I converted to Christianity with a kid that age, nor would I try to imply that they need to make those sacrifices. That conversation is not one a little kid is ready to hear about, and certainly not at a candy store. QKS, dude you're a stranger on the internet don't be having those conversations with kids.
Kink involves consent. Children don't have the capability to consent. So educating them regarding kink, for example, as way to elicit "consent" is really just grooming and coercion. Pe*o vibes all the way all day.

I suppose it can involve "consent," though it doesn't always, and it sure as hell doesn't involve mutual desire. At 6, I was surprised to find out that my teacher (an old lady) had kids. She was a teacher. For all I knew, she LIVED at the school. Children do NOT think about the gender or sexuL8ty of their teachers unless the TEACHeR makes it a topic. It isn't necessary or appropriate.

I'd say they should know what that is if abortion's happenning near them. I learned about my mom's failed pregnancy when I was about 6. She needed to have the baby aborted (2nd trimester I guess), and simply explained to me that I won't be having a sibiling 'cause baby didn't make it basically, and doctors will get the baby out of her. That was it, I never was scarred simply because I learned that sometimes pregancies don't end up with a baby.

As a person who works in childcare this is insane. Children are literally incapable of understanding these complex topics. You are correct, it will make them feel unsafe because even their teacher is confused. Thank you. I’m 30 now and I still remember our MLK lesson in Kindergarten, on how I was corrected for coloring my MLK Portrait coloring sheet with pink crayon instead of brown. I grew up in a christian household where being gay was seen as a sin. Guess what? I STILL figured out I was gay on my own in time. I didn't need people like Ms. Predator Lindsey to tell me I was gay in kindergarten. I figured out during puberty and knew and fully adjusted as an adult ON MY OWN. I also remember wearing a wig and pretending to be a girl when I was around 8. At age 30 Ive never had a single dysphoric thought and love being a guy. But this crap would have confused me and potentially threw off my whole life for just being a kid.

Back in the 90’s, I asked my mom why her gay friends slept in the same bed. She explained in a way a kid could understand; sometimes a man loves a man, or a woman loves a woman, and it’s not weird or wrong. Period, end of story. I’m grateful for that.
My parents or Grams never taught me about gay people, I don’t know how I figured it out beyond observing two men kissing cause I just figured that it was something that happens. I spent a lot of time with a younger cousin of my mom’s being gay & figuring it out. I got my nerve to ask my Grams if that cousin never brought girlfriends around was gay she was shocked that I’d put that together & made me promise not to say anything since they he only ever told his mom but never came out at that point or even to this day. Certain family members knew but nobody cares we just love him. Whatever reasons he has for not coming out are his business & I just want him to be happy no matter what that looks like.
Same. My uncle is gay. He had a boyfriend named Jimmy. This was back in the early 90s deep south BTW. BOTH of my parents love my uncle and his bf. (Who are still together going on 50 years) They kept their relationship quiet. I remember one day my uncle had a customer (he owned a car repair shop) who called my uncle and his bf bad names and was making threats. I remember my daddy going over there and standing up for my uncle and Jimmy and let's just say that man never bothered them again. My parents taught me you love everyone no matter what. My parents do not believe gay is okay they are both Christians but they never pushed how they felt on my uncle and they always showed him love and respect. Let put it this way almost daily they had dinner with us and would go out to dinner with us. All of my mama's and uncles siblings (8) all loved and treated Jimmy and Harvey with love and respect.

I can’t speak for anyone else but I’ve never heard anyone say anything negative about it. They feel that only God can judge so it’s none of our business. I just want my family member to feel free to be happy, we all will love them no matter what. I have 2 nieces who are both lesbians but nobody cared in my mom’s family, the other niece went through hell but only with certain family, most of us never were very accepting of what they were finding out. She joined the military & stayed in the Middle East longer than needed to avoid her parents, thankfully they have gotten past it & have gone back to just loving her. I just want my family to be happy!
That's literally all the explanation a child needs. They ask so many questions about the world around them all the time. This topic shouldn't need a whole dedicated channel to explain. I don't think this woman even knows what she's talking about. In one breath she sings "it's ok to be gay" and then goes on about being a girl, a boy or something in between - that's gender identity/expression.
My kid is into "girly" stuff at the moment. It might be a phase or he may turn out to be gay later in life, or even trans. I'm not going to tell him that now he suddenly has to start thinking about his gender or sexuality because neither is developed yet. He just needs to know that it's ok to be different and I'd love him no matter what

Because, as Lindsey had said in one of her brain rotting videos (or was it her TED talk); if you don't teach them when they're very young, it'll be too late. (i.e. - get these ideas into their heads when they're particularly impressionable/vulnerable because the older they get, the harder it is to convince them that what you're telling them is factual).
The fact that she was so comfortable admitting freely she 100% supports conditioning children into believing specifics truths that support her way of thinking (and how many people don't call her out on how horrifying that is) is downright terrifying.

Parents should be the ones to talk to their children about sexual matters in an age appropriate manner.
If your kid comes home from elementary school and tells you that Molly has 2 moms, you keep it simple.
Some kids have a mom and dad, some kids have 2 moms, sometimes kids have 2 dads.

I have about 3 little nephews and one time I was watching “love Victor” it’s a gay romance show and one my nephews was there with he’s tablet and I guess he got distracted by a kissing scene (non sexual) and he said “omg their kissing” I just started laughing and I proceeded to tell him “yes I know, their just in love” 😂❤… no need to tell him other details or explain about sexual orientation, he’s not capable of understanding such topic.. I find it unnecessary, it’s all about keeping it casual and simple based on their age of understanding.

I actually did see this as a kid (well, the earlier version of it). RUclips Kids was the only RUclips I was allowed to watch and “Queer Kids Stuff” was on there. It led to a lot of confusion and years lost wondering about my “gender identity” when I really was just uncomfortable with puberty and struggled with what I suspect was internalized misogyny. I’m living happily as a girl again today and I’m just grateful I’m healthier and came out on the other side. I’m never letting my kid be on the internet until they’re like 16 no matter how much they hate me for it

She reminds me of a youth pastor I had as a teen in the 1980’s. I was the odd kid who lived with her grandparents and was bullied- I know now that this attracts predators. She tried to groom me and my grandparents were no help, they were excited that someone had taken an interest toward me. Long story short I got in trouble for refusing to sleep in the bed with her on an overnight trip. Years later grandma finally realized what was going on and apologized. As someone who lost their childhood kinda quickly, I can tell you it’s painful to be mentally older than the kids around you. It’s isolating.
I didn’t really make friends until I got to adulthood because I was just not a kid anymore.
I couldn’t play and pretend like other kids. I couldn’t enjoy my childhood. This type of information doesn’t help kids, it isolates them from their peer group for a very long time until the group catches up.
And even then, it’s damaging in the long run because you look back and it hurts. It hurts that your childhood vanished in the blink of an eye.

I completely agree! I did talk to my kids about age appropriate subjects but I kept things simple. I wanted them to stay as innocent for as long as possible but also prepare them for the world. I was lucky that my parents protected and allowed me to be a kid and I wanted that happy go lucky existence for my daughters. I feel I ddi a pretty good job. Im sad that you didnt get that. It's damaging in the long run because when the brain is developing as a child, and trauma is involved, the stress chemicals interfere with that development. It can be ab*se, an accident, or even an illness or death in the immediate family which can cause it. It was illness and death in my case. But there is so much age-appropriate socialization and development that can’t take place when children are preoccupied with adult matters too soon. I remember when I was in grade school we had a teacher that wouldn’t even tell us his first name. We eventually figure it out from the yearbook. He refused to tell us his birthday. Most teachers would not talk about their spouse with us. I definitely had a few gay teachers, but they never mentioned it. All of my teachers growing up were very private. And it was always super weird to see them out in the world if we ran into each other because it’s like oh they actually have a life because they never shared anything about their personal lives with us. The most personal a teacher ever got because she was very excited was that she got engaged. That was it. So when I see these weird tick-tock’s of all the teachers talking about this extremely personal shit with their students, it is so so bizarre. They’re not your friends they’re your students. And why do these people feel the need to come out to kids? Wtf?
Most of my teachers were private as hell. Some would mention their kids if they happen to be around our age. One teacher felt the need to tell us he gave his daughter a purity ring since he was teaching the health (sex) ed class. I found that at 15 to be really inappropriate.

A 5 year old playing with boys or girls says absolutely nothing about their sexuality. If they see a gay couple kissing, you explain sometime it happens that men fall in love with men and women fall in love with women - they will not ask any further questions at this stage, I assure you. My 3 year old once asked why is a man in a video clip wearing a dress and I told her because he really wants to. No further questions and no bloody needs to teach her 100 genders and 200 sexualities!

Recently someone I care deeply about happens to be trans and decided to have bottom surgery. She could not have the surgery because doctors need a certain amount of material from downstairs to do the surgery but when you're taking puberty blockers and hormones as a child, the required material never develops and therefore the surgery cannot be done. There is a risky alternative surgery but it can be fatal. People need to stop pressuring kids into this. I am so angry that kids are pushed into this and they aren't even given all the information just so they can advance their stupid agenda.
you dont need to push it on us we do know, i was around 7 way back in the 70's my transexual wife and the transexual friends i know all knew younger than me, teaching that we do exist can stop us from been abused and attacked, but yes i agree we should not be medically transitioning as children
