  • Hi friends! In today's tutorial, I teach you how to make the Alpine Stitch. I don't generally gravitate toward textured stitches as I much prefer the simplicity of classic stitches and clean lines. However, I truly enjoy making this stitch and it works well for so many projects such as hats, scarves, blankets, dishcloths and more.
If you try this stitch, please tag me @spottedhorsedesignco on social media. I'd love to see what YOU used it for ❤️
    Xoxo,
    Christine

This is great! I'm starting a 'swatch-ghan'. I'm making swatches of different textures and colors and putting them together in an Afghan.

Oh my god, this is so cool! It's my first crochet calendar ever and the first one that has me waiting like a little child to open the doors. Yesterday I was a bit at a loss at first because I'm not an advanced crocheter, but after only three tries I finally managed it. (THANK YOU for your clear instructions!). Today it worked much better and I managed it on the first try. This is so great for learning to “see” the stitches. I'm going to collect all the patterns and try to put them together for two pillows. I look forward to tomorrow!

If you start with a foundation dc instead of a chain with dc worked into it, what multiple would you use?
