This is nice and all, but you guys need to use 2.2's not 2.8's. 2.8's are a pain to glue with the horizontal bead and there are nowhere near as many options with 2.8's as there are for 2.2's.
@@JaxsonM22 I'm talking about wheel diameter. The standard wheel diameter for a 1/10th scale stadium truck is 2.2 inches, which the 1st gen Rustlers came with (1994-2005). However, in 2006 when the 2nd gen Rustlers came out, Traxxas (for whatever reason) chose to use 2.8 inch wheels with low profile tires which, in my opinion, was a big mistake, especially for an off-road vehicle.
@@nighthawkj30A4 Yes, you can. I just checked AMain Hobbies, and they do have the 2.2" satin chrome wheels for the 1st gen Rustlers. The part numbers are: 3672 and 3673. Traxxas also sells them in plain white as well which you can dye with any color you want.
My brother’s Pro Line BFGoodrich for his Slash 4X4 VXL are worse than the stock tires. They don’t grip as well, balloon way more, and are heavier, leading to decreased battery life and higher temps
Steve Leahy Because they are called wheels. The rim is the outer edge of the wheel where the tire seats. So the people calling wheels rims are the ones who are wrong.
The plastic in the middle is the rim it holds the tire and attaches to the axle. Technically the wheel is the tire and rim however the rim does get called the wheel as it is the main part. If someone calls it a wheel they might not know or, they think the rim is the wheel separate from the tire.
Due to the torque it puts on the drivetrain, using self-righting always has some inherent risks. Tires aren’t invincible. If the bond is weak, putting that much torque on a wheel that is not planted on the ground could easily break the glue and bust the tire. That being said, I’ve used self-righting quite a bit on my Hoss and have had no issues with the tires busting, so my guess is you got a bad tire
Awesome. Super glue also work same.
Probably because tire clue is CA glue and super glue is CA glue
This was the exact question I had
Who else saves these for when u need them
I am
Me
I like them both to help traxxas but also it gets automaticly saved in ”videos i liked”
Is there a video how to take tyres off xmaxx 8s wheels?
is tire glue re-branded super glue???
Daniel Aldrete Ondarza no super glue will melt rubber
Daniel Aldrete Ondarza it’s fine to use super glue I do and have been tire glue is way expensive and it won’t melt the rubber
Goon Squad no it won’t I’ve been using super glue for a long time I would know
Any kind of CA glue or glue that says "contains CA" (cyanacrolate) will work
Daniel Aldrete Ondarza no it’s special glue that holds rubber together
Are the stock slash ult tires directionals
Are the regular slash 4x4 wheels directional? No. No they are not. So no, the slash ultimate wheels are not directional
Eye protection lol?
I don't want to imagine how horrible CA glue is in the eyes. They gotta throw that disclaimer in there anyway.
y' know, they put the disclaimer because someone did it at some point in
time, lol xD
Get glue on your finger then rub your eye, gg

Are you talking tire width?

@@markoftheus i agree
@@markoftheus i wonder if you can still get those 1st gen Rustler rims.

Pro line is way better. But traxas does good rtr i do admit i have an e maxx best rc ever

uyou guys are awesome
I would just put super glue on in and be done
👍
That was a sloppy glue job
too much glue also...
Why do people call rims wheels
Steve Leahy Because they are called wheels. The rim is the outer edge of the wheel where the tire seats. So the people calling wheels rims are the ones who are wrong.
I honestly don't know
The plastic in the middle is the rim it holds the tire and attaches to the axle. Technically the wheel is the tire and rim however the rim does get called the wheel as it is the main part. If someone calls it a wheel they might not know or, they think the rim is the wheel separate from the tire.
I think the rims is the plastic, the rubber is the tire, and the entire thing is the wheel
Bryson Kuhn that’s what I think
Too much glue...
Yesterday I bought my maxx for 629 €
After self righting the wheel busted
Thank you 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡🤬😠😠
