An 8 minute video, the word 'tire' mentioned 532 times.... but not once did you sniff them and let us know they smelt better than any other tire. That's a deal breaker for me 😁
Curious how well the hole in the sidewall is going to work out. As the tires spin the centrifugal force forces the water and/or sand towards the center not towards the sidewall. I feel like sand is just going to collect in there with no way out. Also wondering why the sidewall as it's the most stressed part of the tire? Other than that they look like some quality tires!
I’m down to give Proline Racing some competition. I don’t dislike them, I just feel like they sit on things for too long and don’t react to what the customers want. More competition always helps with that.
Nothing like a new set of tires to give an old rig new life! I just picked up a set of JConcepts Magmas for my DBXLE2 and some Proline Dumonts for my Kraton 6S EXB. I always welcome a new brand in the tire game, so many big companies fall short and "standard" features are missing. The interchangable hexes and belts should be standard on anything meant for 4S+ vehicles, but I do understand why you may not wanted belted versions
Just got my Dirt Claws for my Granite 3s...... love them. When I opened the box, I couldn't believe how awesome they looked. All the videos I have watched do them no justice. they look great and perform like beasts. Love them.
If they are better they should at least come balanced or are so precise that they do not vibrate and also have beadlocks so you can use other foams or replace the tires 🤔
@@GeddyRC Actually, it's the other way around. When the tire is completely sealed, air can't get in and it doesn't expand. By venting the tire, air can enter, allowing it to expand (like a balloon). Also, since the vent hole is in the sidewall of these tires for some reason, any debris and water that happen to enter won't exactly get slung out.
Hey A Main, you have the buying power manufacturers listen to. With all the retro releases, how about some classic tires made?? Thinking about the classic Striker tires or the Proline Hawg line(dirt, speed, and street). And get them made in different sizes, especially for 2.2 stadium truck sizes.
I've had the 2.8 dirt claws for almost 2 weeks running solid love them awesome for bashing without a doubt however today I was bashing lightly and a wheel hex stripped out this shouldn't happen my wheel nuts were not loose or anything but it stripped out somehow I wanted to know if I could get them replaced or something because I really like these tires.
If you could explain why the hole on the side is better than on the outside I would appreciate it. It seems like venting to help water whip out is still necessary?
Water/debris will still escape from the side, while also being more difficult to enter. As long as the hole is somewhere on the outer side of the tire and not on the inside of the wheel, its a huge improvement. -Brett
The best tires would be in a set of 4 at that price point. I run cheap $20 amazon tires that have held up better then every name brand, only issue is cheap glue job. Definitely awesome looking pair of tires and I'll eventually test out a set, but something tells me I'll keep buying the 4 tire sets that last twice as long for half the price.
Those Dirt Claws look really gnarly and cool!!! All of them look good but I may have to grab a set for my Granite as they look super aggressive and very nice on there!!! Great stuff!
I'm at 6:25 in, and I'm waiting...... Some nice lookin' tires for sure...however, you didn't once mention how they smell man! lol A video I saw of you about tires once totally cracked me up cuz you made a fuss about "New tire smell" ;) In all honesty, I'm waiting for a company to make a nice, belted, 17MM hex pre-mounted plain old buggy tire for like, say my old Kyosho Inferno, or more specifically, my Typhon 6S that's just bolt on no issues without having to do that Truggy conversion stuff I keep seeing. I have a truggy, I don't want another. I want good belted tires for my Buggies! ;)
These look amazing A-Main!! Only question, since they are directional, Will they be sold in pairs with one wheel/tire in each direction, or will they be marked Left and Right?
I'll be in the market for new tires next month and I'll give your 10th scale basher tires a try as long as i can find them for a 14mm hex monster truck variety for my Granite BLX
Love to see more tires, but hope y'all move the vent to the carcass. Sidewall seems like the worst of both worlds and is in a bad spot for wear. I personally prefer to spin out the water if they get wet, the tires peak along the vent holes and water comes slinging out.
Please make a 17mm hex for these. Checking the website they have 17mm awesome. Now I hope you make more of these in belted versions. Great to have more choices 👌
Love them! Quick question though- will they always come with those adapters in the packaging? At least in my opinion, that's a nice feature for now but I feel like after a bit it'd be good to make them a permanent "free with the purchase of any pair of wheels" sale or have them as an option, because I feel like after a bit its going to become like those little wheel wrenches where many experienced RCers have a dozen laying around, and I just think all that plastic waste is unneeded.
The tire performs best when it can breath, or ventilate fresh air, especially as the tire expands and changes shape. When you land from a jump, the tire is like a second suspension, compression with the impact and the air inside reacts to that. You could leave the holes covered and it won't ruin the tires, but it creates an air vacuum that can't react wo what the tire is doing, and the tire may feel a little "dead" or non-reactive. For just bashing around, it may not be something you notice, so it's just up to you. The tire will perform it's best though when it can breath. -Brett
Admittedly I’ve only been back into the hobby for three years but three years is still a long time and I get deep into the things I’m into. Why have these different brands? I had no idea there were two Amain brands, now three! I’d rather buy from something clearly backed by Amain (A company I know AND trust) called “Amain Upgrades” then some unknown company called “Upgrade RC”. How about at least stick a good sized “An Amain company “ on the bags? I think you’d sell a LOT more. - The tires look great, I look forward to trying them.
We also sell to hobby shops as part of our distribution network and it's best to keep the AMain name out of other hobby shops. We are happy when people choose our website to purchase, but it's also important people visit their local shops and support the local business. -Brett
Nice to know if there's ever a supply chain shortage, I can still get my tires and glue. That's freedom. I also didn't know Pro-tek was one of your brands.
The Dirt Claw does not fit on the Typhon 6s. The hub assembly is to stout, and the rim and where the 17mm hex mounts to the hubs is not recessed enough 😢. I also bought the Saw Blade and mounted it to my Senton3s that I've already converted to the 17mm hubs, and it looks amazing. Shortly after, though, my esc died, but not at any fault of the tires. It was just its time. 😂
These look nice, actually. But one question for you Brett; Is Amain planning on releasing tires for small scale, like 1/16 1/18? There’s honestly not a lot of options for those scales, especially 1/18. The new 1/18 Arrmas tire selection is pitiful, and the platform needs some good tires WITH foam in them.
Upgrade RC should definitely work on chevron pattern monster truck style tires for bashers, like the ones that you get on a Gorgon or a traxxas Bigfoot. There should be more options there!
They look epic!!
You got to give them the Kevin Talbot test
@@atkracing They will explode. lol
Kevin, you Legend you! Love your videos, mate! Look forward to the next one.
how many times was 'tires' said in this video? 😂
😂😂😂
At least 5 times. LoL
With all directional tires there’s always that one guy who will swear they work better backwards 😂
Kev you Tired of hearing that word Tires then mate ? lol 😜
Someone has to count now
With all directional tires there’s always that one guy who will swear they work better backwards 😂
Can't tell you how many times I've heard that 😂
😂😂😂
They dooo
The sand tires look off tho. They hood in the opposite direction of the point. Real truck paddles often are flat, but stil directional.

haha, hi Phil!😁
All tires smell good.

Yeah, like the need for a 17MM belted buggy wheel and tire combo.

Looking forward to seeing some crawler tire options from Upgrade RC!

Why the vent hole on the side instead of the center of the tire for better drain?
These look so good! Any idea when SCT and Buggy 1/10 tires will pop up?
Bro said “tires” over 400 times😂😭
he tired
The sawblades look like they might be a good crawler tire as well 👍😁
LOL Brett your hilarious!! “It’s garbage!” 🤣
Omg i was busting up when he said that!🎉

Holes on the sidewall are a No Go for me. Tread sode only.❤
The sawblades look ridiculous, I love it! Might buy some for my gorgon.
Looks awesome cant wait for more sizes
Looking forward to unmounted 2.2s both truck and buggy.
MADE IN THE USA baby! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
The Gorgon with street radials. SOLD!
YES! Please bring out some 1/10 crawler tires!
why would the sidewall be vented instead of the center of the tread?
It lets out air as the tire expands (so it doesn’t balloon as much) and if any water gets in it’ll come right out.
@@GeddyRC Centrifugal force causes water to go toward outward center not the other direction. 😳

I laterally have been doing research on new tires for my Senton 3s. I am so excited to try these tires. I just ordered the Dirt Claw tires.
I need some 2.2 saw blades for my slash!
Any reason Maxx V2 isnt listed in your Compatibility listings for any of these? Any why the vent on side instead of within the tread??

Why are the tyres vented in the side and not in the middle of the tyre
Man can't wait for these in larger sizes for the Widemaxx and Kraton 6S etc, they look good well thought out.
Proline going to call about those hex adapters.

Man I hope I can get these in 3.8 soon. They'd be awesome on my Kraton!
this is a nice addition.... now how about some competitive crawler tires for us outsiders.
Are the prices also upgrade?
Will there be 3.8 size tires coming in the near future from this brand?
I'd definitely like to try out the Street Radials on my skatepark basher!
I’m confused, if they have the rotation arrows and they are pre glued, how do I order left and right side?
The tires are only sold in pairs, not individually. Each package includes one left and one right side.

@@AMain_Hobbiesawesome! Thanks for the reply.

Please make 3.8” for Sledge and more
need bigger ones for my maxx and erevo. Might get a set for my sons hoss in the mean time.
When we getting crawler tires?
Is there a disadvantage to always keeping the vent hole (when it’s inside the rim) always covered with tape even when you’re running in dry weather?
